This gem is a must have for anyone using a Mac as a media server Support for dozens of media apps and no issues with using a network drive All the negative reviews are from people who didn t bother to read that this is for a Mac not Windows or a TV                     Multiple app support The Hudge

Initially did not work After disabling the off helper server app for off it worked Re enabled Off helper and toggled the firewall on and off and it works with both firewall and Off Helper enabled Very functional app but the button layout could use some work I love that it works with eyeTV solves a big problem for me DEVELOPER 1 Check out a potential conflict with the Off Helper server program 2 Think about button layout Why in iTunes is there a separate play and pause button Why not toggle Why are the play pause and prev next track buttons so small and cramped together and on the same row while the navigation arrows are huge and colored Use some of the space there for some separation of buttons 3 UI is a little clunky Hit mute on eyeTV and the icon remains unchanged that is you can t tell if mute is on or off by looking at the control screen usually when mute is on one would expect to see a red slash through the mute icon The mute button should give enough feedback that the user can tell if it s been pressed this is especially important as there are so many different ways to control volume Through eyeTV app though the home stereo through the main volume control on the Mac It can sometimes take much trial and error to determine what killed the volume                 Great app works with EyeTV DEVELOPER SUGGESTIONS WebsterNY

I first downloaded the free version but soon I bought the full version I love it because it allows me to control my computer from anywhere in the house I turn on iTunes change songs or use it give my presentations                     One of my favorite apps inamaka

I use this app and its server counterpart to consolidate most of my remotes I use it primarly with Front Row and EyeTV It s only 4 stars because it s still difficult to switch between recordings and live TV as well as picture in picture without either going the long way or using the EyeTV remote that came with the tuner Please update this for the 5th star                 My iPhone jfcontrols my Mac TheJRose1984

I needed a remote for Tele prompter software ZaPrompt for my Apple Laptop TODAY One remote option is to purchase an 80 00 Keyspan Presentation Remote a PR US2 if you can find it In less time to go to a local store IF an 80 remote were in stock I was up and running with this app I downloaded the full version jfControl Remote and under Layout 5 I was able to Pause Resume and change the scrolling speed of my prompter software A PR US2 layout setting would be cool but upon download and install of software required for the laptop it worked great the first time A few dollars vs 80 00 for a remote was a no brainer And the other remote features are very powerful icing on the cake At least double the price on this app you deserve it Signed A Very Happy Producer                     This App Saved me 80 00 Thanks Dean of Life

I use this app every day Wonderful for eyeTV and FromtRow I use an external monitor and my IR port is covered making it impossible to use the apple remote This little app is awesome The only thing I wish it had was a channel swsp buttonfor eyeTV to quickly jump back and forth between channels Other than that I have no complaints Well worth the 3 99 in my opnion                     Great Sbudno

When i got this application I had doubts a 3 99 is not cheap for me So far however I have been relatively impressed Although it does not do that much more than other free apps I would really like to see a few improvements and I think it would be one of the best apps out there In a free update I would love to see Control of Firefox and or Safari Control of Applications such as Skype iChat iCal etc If those are added I will be much happier                 Wow DogLife12

Doesn t do much more than the little Apple remote that came with your computer Wi Fi connection is slow and inconsistent To be truly useful jfControl would have to free the user from the computer e g the way the app Remote does by listing songs playlists videos Keynote presentations etc from which to choose If it cost 1 I d have given it two stars     The little white Apple remote works better faster cheaper Met.Man

Overall I am satisfied with this app but I have one MAJOR issue As far as I can tell there is no way to pause eyetv For me pausing is the most important task this app should be able to do to eyetv I have no idea why a simple pause feature was not included Please help me understand this             Ok but missing key features Aperch

This app does exactly what it was made to do For the review that said you have to guess at what the buttons do obviously doesn t know what the little i symbol does Hit that and it shows you exactly what each button does I thought this was for only front row but it s for dvd itunes finder and much more And it works instantly with no hasel I don t know if I got the app after a update or what but this app is a must have for your macbook pro This is the first app i ve bothered wasting my time to add a review as well so that should tell you I really like this app                     People who rated this down are not smart enough to own a iphone DeChamp

This is a great all in one app for a remote control I got this to run my EyeTV and found it to be a bonus to run my iTunes DVD and Finder It s saved the day I have run into one little glitch with one function and the developer Tommy Karmmerer has been on the case He s completely involved in making this app great and I appreciate it I highly recommend it                 EXCELLENT APP dlo1

I haven t run into any issues it is very easy to use and with the autoconfig you just start the program and your good to go Control finder open programs also good for a good scare when other are using your laptop                 This is awsome joshuaswilcox

version 1 1 I was looking for an app that could control Front Row I have a Mac Mini that I use as a media center and needed some kind of remote This little gem handles Front Row admirably and does much more Setup was painless Overall controls are simple and intuitive on the downside there is no documentation so I had to discover a few things like the function of many of the Finder controls via trial and error Also the program does several things very few other remote apps do such as allow you to sleep your computer combined with a Wake on LAN program like Awake I have full control over my Mac Mini The developer responds quickly to emails and is very supportive For the price I couldn t find a single remote program as robust as this one                 Simple effective and great price MJGuru
