I like Kens website a lot and find him very knowledgable But this app at best should be 99 cents The guide is pretty good but looks crappy and pixelated on an iPad Other gripes are a sometimes elitist and condescending tone Things like this setting is fluff and will not be discussed here are tacky and annoying I also resent having multiple website shills in a paid app I totally understand on your website which is free but having to scroll past each site time after time is really uncalled for and should be removed Overpriced
Too basicdont waste the money until he adds more info Basic info
This guys a pro There are some great tips in this app but to suggest that a 22 mb 14bit RAW image and 23 mb basic jpg image are exactly the same is just insane to say the least About the little comment on shooting RAW is only for people that like to put 12 images on a card This camera supports 64 gig cards I was given a 8 gig when I dropped a grand on this camera and 200 mm lens Im not going to spend that kind of jack and shoot images with an average quality of my iPhone I can fit hundreds of RAW files on this 8 gig card I want the best this camera can give me RAWFine JPG it is I hope some poor newbie didnt take your advice and is trying to shoot professionally in basic jpg Pro
Kens D5100 app is very informative and easy to use especially for a beginner like me The app give you an abridged version of the complex manual Its looks very professional and is well done Works flawlessly with my iphone 4s Great App
Overall very informative but I do not agree the recommendation on the picture settings which makes photos look unnatural to me Also RAW Is an essential format for getting the most out of your shots like dynamic range and dynamic range which the the app ignores it Nice App
First off I am a huge fan of Ken Rockwell His website is the best in my opinion for getting quality information and reviews This app for the Nikon D5100 was disappointing at 499 Very basic I know this is how he makes his living so basically the money is a donation Yes this should be a 99 cent app Access to his website is worth way more than this app Too Pricey 499
