I needed it for in call dialing It uses the Mac number keys not the keyboard on the screen for that and doesn t make any tones and it works                     Works well DRMcl

Liked the app for the clean UI but cant get it to work fully with teh search using Mac OS Sierra v10 12 5 Can t select the searched contact Steps 1 open app 2 Click search icon 3 type the contact you have to search 4 list shows up with matching search word 5 Cant select the name from the listed search results can t click using mouse or select the search results using the downarrow return Also cant call conference bridge numbers incl the passcodes cant take Comma in the dialer from teh contact it works just fine on iphone if i include conf call passcode with typing the passcode every time             Looks clean but seem to have a bug Srik-

You don t need this software It doesn t do anything that your Mac doesn t already do If you want to call someone on your Mac you can open Facetime click Audio type in the phone number in the search box select that phone number and click on Call Or you can type in the name of the contact select the contact select the number and press Call It s not quite the It Just Works as you normally expect on a Mac but it does work All this does is give you a big friendly keypad Instead of opening Facetime you open Keypad type in your number and press the big green Call button Keypad then opens Facetime and makes the call Saves you five or six seconds In theory you should be able to use Keypad to type in numbers in order to select from automated attendents Press 1 if you want to get your balance Press 2 if you want to waste more time But I couldn t get it to work If I selected Keypad Facetime wasn t selected to get the numbers I was entering And again you don t need this program to do that You can click on the Facetime call window and type in the numbers from your keyboard anyway The beeps as you type are barely audible but it does work Think of Keypad as Amazon s One Click Ordering You don t need One Click to order from Amazon it doesn t save you all that much a click to the shopping cart a click to checkout a click to complete the transaction but it s still nice to have And this program costs less than a dollar so it s not like you re going to miss it I haven t really decided if this is worth the 99 but I figured it was at least worth a try It makes calling through Facetime a lot more intuitive and a bit faster That s all and that might be worth a buck             Understand what this does and that it s only 99 cents OnlyDavid

This app which was pretty useless is now very good The developer has added in call dialing for conference calls support calls etc So now I can navigate a touch tone phone support system or get on a conference call You just have to click on the FaceTime icon and then use the computer keypad as if it were a telephone keypad It s ever so slightly klugey but it works unlike CallPad which still does not offer in call dialing Why on earth we need a third party app as opposed to having a keypad feature built in to FaceTime is a mystery                 Fixed In Call Dialing leftax

Great idea for an app I don t know if it just needs updating for el capitan 10 11 4 but after the call is initiated you can t send keys tones to enter information I wanted to use my mac hands free for concalls and this is why I bought this app         Doesn t work in calls Krescendo

In version 1 10 Ocne a call is made you can not use it to send the DTMF Tones from the Keypad app I think this is something that needs to be addressed Other than that it does a very good job             DTMF Tones do not work after call is made Brent Smithline

In call dialing does work Once you connect the call just use the numbers keypad on your computer s keyboard What s happening is that once the call is made the app seems to switch to Facetime You won t hear the tones when you press the keys on your keyboard but the prompt or entry will be recognized If you try using the app s keypad interface on the screen instead you ll hear the tones but nothing happens A bit confusing but it works using the keyboard nonetheless IMHO the app is still very useable and a great productivity booster                     Love this App In Call Dialing Does Work Robert Maizner

It does do in call dialing it s a little strange because you don t hear the tones like you would for a normal phone but the numbers still go through and are accepted on the other end Could it stand a few more features Sure but for 0 99 it does what I need and I m not going to complain                 Works perfectly ncspectreilm77

For those of you who say it can t do in call dialing did you read the intructions on first run It says to click on the FaceTime banner on the upper right while in a call and then use the keyboard to type the desired entry                     IT CAN DO IN CALL DIALING F.M.S.

The dialer is fine and it s nice that i can make personal calls I guess but I have personal people already stored into my contacts anyway The number ONE reason I purchased this is for client conference calls through my computer and speak system which is better than the quality from the phone However the dialer does not work once you are in call It only works to dial This was such a big disappointment because it was the only reason I purchased the app If the dialer doesn t work to punch in conference pin numbers or anything it s virtually useless for me I truly hope they will eventually upgrade this feature If and when they do I would certainly change my rating but for now it just doesn t do what i need it to do Such a bummer             Dialer doesn t work in call big disappointment HowieHood

I bought this to simplify calling systems with an automated menu and where I ll be on hold for a while Sadly the Mac side dialpad doesn t register send the keypresses as expected so this is basically not very useful For example Try calling California s tax agency FTB at 916 845 7033 where their wait times is over 3 hours Then try 1 4 pressing 4 on this app s dial pad is never recognized tried 4 times but always works when dialing directly from the iPhone         Doesn t work with voice automated menus Sid_S

I got this after getting PhoneDock which did not come with a dialer so that went into the trash This app does what is says but is nothing fancy to look at or delightful to use Really basic Some things that would make it better some preferences such as start on login a menu bar icon sizable keypad and message and perhaps even email options when you are in the contact list One more thing I know it some sort of wierd apple thing to make a 3rd party app click to confirm calling but we don t need that when I click on dial just do it Well that s it Good luck                 Better than DockPhone but could use some more development Jiggy Gaton

I got this app in hope that I could use it for teleconfrence calls Basically I wanted to be able to enter a conference call code after calling a conference line The app does not let you input numbers during an ative call Waste of money Don t Buy     Cannot use the Keypad in an Active Call RosenBond

Works OK except that right now you must dial the number using the buttons on the Keypad app you can t use the keyboard number keys unless you enter at least the first digit using the Keypad on screen buttons Inconvenient and definitely detracts from the utility of the app Email customer service was fast and courteous and they did tell me they are working on a fix for this but didn t have a timeline Until this is fixed I d say that this app has limited functionality             Not bad but has an annoying bug BigGuyAirborne82

For 99 you can t beat an app that does what Apple left out very nicely buy it and you will be happy Things I would like to see in a future release 1 the ability to search the address book by name for an existing phone number and dial from the very handy notification center widget currently you can only dial a number from the notification widget but you can search the address book from the full app and 2 automate the process a bit more so that when you dial with the app or the widget you don t have to click the Call button in a FaceTime pop up to actually dial Great app Update asked a few questions of the developer who is very responsive Apparently having to click the Call button on the FaceTime pop up window after entering a number in Keypad is a limitation of Apple no big deal just click the return enter key on the keyboard and it will call Also while the dialer doesn t yet work to enter numbers on a phone system tree press 1 for this or 2 for that you can simply click the number keys on your keyboard and that will do it this didn t seem to work for me under 10 10 1 but does work under 10 10 2 This has become one of my favorite apps                 Terrific App One of my Favorites pmdworks

I have just started using Keypad and I absolutely love it To start it has such a sleek and professional appearance that appears as if it came with my Mac all along The developers really put a lot of thought into its functionality and making sure it appealed to an audience with diverse needs It is EXTREMELY functional for all people most importantly those working on projects and are needing to call a variety of people not in their contacts while simotaneiusly using their Mac The greatest thing about Keypad is that it operates smoothly on my desktop while I call others and continue using my Mac and I get the benefit of both on one device Over all I would definetely recomend this app as a Mac essential and cannot wait to see what features may be added in the future                     Great Mac addition eowen618

If the name of a contact is Korean Keypad cannot search the name correctly Even when the input methods is in Korean mode the first character of typing is always typed as English alphabet It should be fixed     Korean contact is not working drbyoo

I spend a lot of time on conference calls which means I need to enter additional digits after I ve dialed the main number I couldn t figure out how to make it work I reached out to the developer who proivded a reponse to me the same day Easy workaround once the call connects FaceTime Audio will display a box in the upper right corner of your screen Just click on this box and use your keyboard numb keys to enter any digits including and to get into your call Works great and easily worth the 0 99                     Yes you can use it with conference calls Bate5000
