Ann Budd presents her versatile patterns with clarity and I count this book among my favorites But the app offers no additional features beyond the book I would have wanted to input a size for instance and have the app return only the pertinent instructions for a given pattern No additional features beyond book
I own this and the companion sweater book in print I purchased this because I travel often for work and find the lace I am often working on to be a bad travel project With this on my iPad a couple sets of needles and some yarn in my bag I can do a hat or get some mittens going on Amtrak Basic patterns plus an interesting or luxury yarn make for great gifts Only four stars because its a bit easy to lose the size cant circle anything like on a paper pattern Very Handy
The patterns in this app are not very useful as patterns only as a reference You cannot edit or annotate the pages so you can easily follow the size and gauge you are working This app would actually be more useful as a book Kindle or ebook I wrote to Interweave to make sure I wasnt missing something They responded quickly but said there was nothing you can do to make notes and the developer wasnt planning on adding that feature I suggested the app developer add a function to be able to create a PDF from pages x to x Well see what happens This is not an application
