Do you love KODAK Film and want to learn more about how to shoot it? Looking for a place to buy your favorite Kodak film? Need a lab to develop it? Use the KODAK Professional ...
This app says it will be able to help by using the sun calculator and it will automatically determine your sunrise but it fails in Epic proportions It says the sunrise will rise at 723 am I m in Phoenix and it s summertime the sun is up 5 a m You can t change it Yes it has access to my location When trying to find a location to buy film on multiple occasions their map is wrong How do you NOT know where you sell film If you can t do it right when you release it don t release it yet     Junk App Chiefsrgr8est
Though the film purchase and development site finder does not show a useful or remotely complete listing of photo labs the other features particularly the darkroom assistant are useful and very usable A pleasant surprise to find this in the App Store                 Love that they re doing things for film shooters ogroy
This app is great for film photographers and allows you to locate nearby locations for buying and processing film As well as finding the right film                     Great easy and useful Underman2020
Thanks for keeping this app up to date It works well and I love being able to access the technical publications as well as the scrollable information Great sample images but perhaps a few more could be included Darkroom processing tutorial is a nice touch                     Thanks for keeping it up to date nicholas042893
First of all anything that uses Location Services crashes the application This eliminates 90 of its usefulness The two biggest features are where to buy and where to develop film Don t work The map appears but the places of interest are not marked on the map What s the point of having a map if what you re trying to find isn t on it You have to dig around to find the list of shops Don t try to scroll that list Boom Crash Dead The sun calculator is also worthless Apparently all it s good for is sunrise and sunset and even that doesn t work It s telling me that sunrise today was at 8 49 AM and sunset is at 11 19 PM Those are off by two or three hours Oh it s a time zone issue I hear you say Well I have the app configured to set the time zone automatically Oh That s another use of Location Services THAT S why that function doesn t work The Film Formats feature is somewhat useful It tells you what is currently in Kodak s lineup It s hard to keep track of that these days since there has been such a contraction since the glory days They don t tell you much about the films so it s really only good as a list of available films and a short description The home darkroom feature looks useful for beginners You could certainly start here However if you are going to do home developing you really should get one of the dedicated home developing apps     Marginably useful Incompetently implemented mojosam
Good information but you have to guess what the labels say the darkroom timer is very nice though         Iffy BLNT5107
There are a number of good features but names or labels should be shown on the various menu links Having to touch each arrow link just to find out what it is is confusing and wastes time         Menus need to be identified LP Atlanta
Awesome app There are a number of very cool and useful tools available making the Kodak film app a very pragmatic and enjoyable option There are three things however that I feel need to be fixed 1 Home page buttons don t display what your tool options are 2 The Film Development Timer Tool needs to include an advanced setting option where you can label and save you re own custom development times 3 Make it possible for the app to access your settings so that you re screen doesn t time out while you re processing your film Aside from these three things I think the app is great and I love the fact that it s KODAK                 Rad Jules Luna
This has got to be the biggest joke for an app I have ever downloaded If I would have had to pay for it I would be livid First there is absolutely zero text labels for anything You are guessing at every level to see what will be displayed Second the app can t even get the date right On auto or manual settings it indicated that it was December 27 2016 could not get the app to set the correct date I am still laughing as the app has been deleted from my iPhone 6s One star is 75 higher than it deserves     Are you kidding me FestusLunn
Not useable Time location must be entered manually for it to work But that s a moot point as the button s don t have any words The app is broken     Useless Cedykeman1
I am a professional photographer who uses Fuji film for most of my analog endeavors I ve been curious about Kodak s lineup for a while since I ve never really used it This app was very helpful for seeing the whole lineup and info about it The app even has a darkroom timer built in for when I m developing my TriX Very handy and well designed app                     Wonderful Good to see Kodak still alive and kicking Markn951
I love the app and it works great The darkroom feature that times everything for you is spectacular                     Fantastic bstovall16
Modern looking and helpful                     Very well designed Ratfink808
As a student entering photography courses in art school I like this app and find it useful and informative I like having access to useful information about each available film and example images I love the darkroom process timer and how it s customizable The retail lab locator is cool too not that I need it at this time Good app for a photographer to have for an odd occasion even Perhaps what would also be cool is a section about professional chemicals and perhaps more detail about the films with even some data for printing them or just access to the Kodak technical data sheets instead                     Cool app NicholasWolfe
A great app and a handy resource Well designed clean interface The darkroom timer is great wish I knew about it earlier Kudos to Kodak                     Go kodak jmr237
This is a really great and informative app if you enjoy 35mm photography                     Great Find LNS467
Date field cannot be changed             Sun module Normftb
My state isn t even an option in this app Fortunately I already know a lab up the road i would think you d know about it also Seems you could track sales of chemicals to labs and then simply include those labs in the app Not app related but your website is a nightmare to navigate to film products especially movie films             Meh Horngreen
Recent update fixed prior glitches with the app iPhone5 support is great and love the newly introduced Black and White Processing Tool                 Keep on Updating pborrello
Newly updated this app by Kodak is great I love the B W development timer as well as the sun calculator Keep up the good work                     Film Photography in a Digital Age Zach Fox
Props to Kodak for supporting the film enthusiast in this age of digital photography As other people say it can use some extra features but this is a free app and is a great starting reference for the types of film a ail able and their application With a bit more features this will be a 5 star app easily                 Handy Das Effekt
This app clearly needs some work but as someone who shoots 8x10 portra film I am glad to see them putting in the effort to get film more out there so I can keep doing what I do Hopefully they update some things with GPS locating and adding more labs to their lists as they are missing four labs in Boston alone Example photos on film types would also be very helpful But every app has to start somewhere                 At least their putting in the effort Nonangrygamer
With a little bit of polish and a lot of example photos from the different types of film and what they look like when pushed this app could really be improved It would be great if they could include development times for the film as well especially black and white             Love to see more rectangular
I feel like the app needs work but I m just glad to see Kodak is putting some effort into supporting users of film even the littlest app matters Polaroid abandoned it altogether and Fuji doesn t make apps from what I ve found I m assuming the team for this app is probably a two man operation                 Not bad but could use work Terry Eck
This app isn t even useful to armatures let alone professionals Lacking in this app No GPS locator to actually show you stores NEAR you without having to read through every store listed in the USA No list of processing chemicals for the films as well as substitute chemicals for chemicals no longer produced that would be usable on film lines no longer in production yes there s tons of film out there and people COULD be using Kodak chemicals to process them if they knew what could substitute for the original chemical Explanations on how the chemicals affect films Times and temperatures for all Kodak films again even expired ones to be used with what chemical Again Kodak the customers actually buying your product are professionals no one else is And on that note WHY WOULD YOU OFFER LARGE FORMAT EKTAR as a special order yet provide it in portra as an available film Same question in the B W department who would even shoot on portra if you re going to spend the money and shoot on a large format camera you re going to use high end film like ektar not cheap crap like portra I mean seriously If you would listen to photographers actually buying your film and read any forum for photography and no one is talking shoot portra ya know what they talk about Technical Pan and how they FINALY got some off ebay for some exorbitant price just to be able to shoot 3 rolls No one is buying your new product because we want the old good stuff you discontinued If you had a new run of tech pan and charged 10 per 120 roll people would buy it considering they spend 20 roll now on expired tech pan Get it Fix your company so it will exist in 10 years     Completely useless Stone804
Yes it would be great if there were more info in there there are some typos etc And it shows TXP320 available AFAIK that s discontinued If it s really available great news So yes it could be better I m hoping it will be fixed and upgraded and am willing to give it some time It has the potential for being very helpful             Could be better first iteration Zonan
But nothing I didn t already know from online sources         Not terrible rwreich
You re the oldest and most successful film maker in history and yet this app is sadly lacking     Come on Kodak you can do better jomodv
You can t search for processing labs by city only state And neither of the two labs I use are listed and they happen to be less than 5 miles from kodaks headquarters     Useless mfd14534
Seriously No basic services like geolocation to find the nearest dealer This looks like a PowerPoint presentation And for goodness sake PROOF READ your copy Available is spelled incorrectly on screen 4 of the intro piece Just more brochure ware Where is the value I want Kodak to survive You MUST do better than this though     Worthless webgod1
Quickest uninstall of any app I ve downloaded The old Kodak pocket guide from 30 years ago had 100x more info than this app It could of should have been     Pretty useless Mazdax3
