L5 Remote SD

I can finally control all my devices in my house through customized screens The IR adaptor is cheap and works great on my iPad and iPhones I can also send my remotes to the cloud and download Great                 This is awesome

Over the years Ive had a couple of Pronto remotes and one Harmony I loved the customization possible with the Pronto but it was fussy work The Harmony was extremely prescriptive in what codes you were able to load or not and lacked the flexibility and customization I came to enjoy with the Pronto With my black whitescreened Pronto in the theater slowly dying and ongoing trouble with the living room Harmony I started looking for an app to take the place of both so that the whole family could enjoy intuitive activitybased control in the living room the theater and the game room This is that appand then some I looked at all of them I could find Many require converting IR to wi fi and while that keeps you from adding a dongle to your apple device Ive already got my world of IR sensors and repeaters in placedidnt feel like spending a few hundred bucks to go wi fifor now anyway That left me in dongleland and of the available choices this one seemed to have extreme customizability in programming an easy user interface and I particularly like the cloud feature which lets me share my remotes across my iPad iPhone and my sons iPod Touch Once you get the hang of the layout and how things get built comes quickly this is downright fun to program While I waited for the dongle to arrive I built a number of control pages for around the house and a user interface that was activity based linking the right components together for easy use by anybody in the house Once I had the dongle I could then teach the remote the associated codes and I was off and runningNO issues and EXACTLY as advertised I now have a remote that works anywhere I need one Starts with a main menu home that asks where you are living room theater game room From those buttons you get watch or listen choices for the room youre in From that selection you go to a very clean single page with only the needed buttons to control what you need Using the drawers available in the remote screens I was able to tuck away seldomused functions or buttons needed for macros Working flawlessly and I couldnt be more impressed A small investment in time to get the custom look and interface you desire IF youre a tinkerer as I am Someone in a hurry could be up and running in minutes Before you start programming Id highly recommend downloading a few remotes from the L5s cloud space to see what others have done I also recommend a bit of surfing through the forum on L5s web site It is wellmoderated and theres a lot of tips there Of note you should also go to the setup controls for this app in your apple Settings menuthere you can set controls like dimming times sounds and more The dimming feature lets you control how quickly the remote goes to sleep Using this the remote wakes when you pick up your apple device and it bypasses the slidebar and pass codevery nice for adjustments midmovie HIGHLY recommended BIG fan Ill probably get a second dongle so Ill have one in the living room and another downstairs About 100 for two and thats not even close to what youd pay for other automation solutions or decent touchscreen remotes BRAVO                 Fantastic

Works great and I can control all the devices in my home It isnt that hard to create the remotes and now with the skins they look better than ever Nice features 1 Uploading your remotes to the cloud so I can have mine on my phone and iPad 2 Downloading custom remotes that other people created I downloaded a ps3 controller remote that looks and works great The only downside is trying not to lose the accessory I lost one but I just ordered another with their Fathers day sale Yea thanks i5 I will take better care of this one                 Great Technology

This app is stupid you have to bye another pecs fore it and it cost 60 so why wold you do that     Stupid

You cant download the remotes cause the web Services doesnt work I tried to ask in the support but they erase the all comments about this     The cloud doesnt work

If you have an old iPod touch or iPhone sitting around doing nothing this app with the 40 device will turn it into a powerful universal IR remote I am using it with an original iPod touch this is a very complete package                 works with first gen devices

I wanted to have this to replace my Kenwood Receiver remote that doesnt work anymore No such downloadmaybe Dijit or Red Eye will have it        More choices for download

I like that it lets me customize Very handy indeed but the flaw is that if you press the buttons too quickly the app will freeze This may be due to an old processor on my iphone4 Other than that its good Keep it up with the updates              Works pretty well

Really awesome app Takes some time to custom make a remote but the possibilities are endless I like the fact that people can share their custom remotes Really easy to set up                 Awesome Remote

Hi guys this app used to be awsome but now doesnt work I feel cheated on the device as it cant be downloaded now what happend     does not work

So I bought this designed all my remotes and find myself not using it nearly as much as I had intended I love it It works flawlessly I just dont have my iPhone with me as often as I sit around the house                 AWESOME toy
