I used to love Launcher For some reason in the latest version the autostart on login doesn t work I have it checked and no matter what it doesn t I set the OS to boot it on launch which worked but then it also popped up a notification Would you like to turn on autostart on login or whatever the message is Yes Yes I would like to turn that on But no it won t work         Used to be great isaidicanshout

Very useful app but it has an option to load at system startup which it NEVER does You check the option and next time you start your Mac it does NOT start and the option is unchecked I did this countless times it fails every time So when I would really need a shortcut I find that it doesn t work because Launcher is not running so I have to start Launcher first then close the shortcuts window which comes up with NO REASON every time I start the app and this altogether takes more work and time than if I just did it without Launcher This alone makes it not really useful             It s good but with a fatal flaw should be easy to correct but no updates in a LONG time Bob 868

I use this app every day and all the time However with the most recent update they removed the option to add system commands like sleep restart shutdown etc Without those I find that Launcher is not better than the in built Spotlight and I would just use that instead         Loved it until the most recent update hugsid

This app does what it says I don t see the adds that everyone is talking about I will say it would be better if you could catagorize or tag the apps that are stored Some apps that I have have a strange name and if I could look under a category such as office or database than I would see the name AE database if I can t remember it Of course I remember that one but some I don t use that much             Not bad rjdeible

With ads and very few if any ways of actually launching Applications that I can find this is worse than useless For the same price free check out Quicksilver which does exactly the same thing without ads and in a much more apple like way     A poor app indeed Mikaehl

This was an excellent paid launcher at one point at in time I bought it as did others Nulana has now turned it into a free demo that advertises their other products Those of us who paid money for a professional commercial app without ads are just out of luck If you need a great launcher and don t mind a constant flow of ads on your computer this is your app But think twice before you give this company your money New version still has ads They got my money but they ve lost a loyal customer     What the heck =z

Ever since the update it crashes I can t even click the settings button without the app disappearing I really liked this app when it worked but this new version needs some serious debugging     Crashes Quanzi1

I love this app It s a better alternative to alfred and launch bar It s lightweight but configurable as far as having custom short cuts The only thing I really wish it had was importing of all bookmarks just like launch bar It would save so much time It s great in general though Update The new version is awful The font is freakin huge and you can t see nearly as many items as you could before I don t mind the advertisement but the new non adjustable font is just stupid         Great App Just needs to import bookmarks fatdogs12

Launcher is a great app no doubt But the ads are a real let down They distract from what would otherwise be an excellent interface Being advertised to at this level in my system feels like a violation Either sell the app or don t I switched from Alfred for the interface and built in dictionary support Please drop the ads I don t necessarily want to go back to Alfred but at least they aren t trying to sell me something I don t want I would have given this 5 stars         But the ads fattsmorla

Funny how the new screenshots for the latest version don t show the ad Yes the new UI is slick and even more performant and yes the ads are all for other Nulana products semi relevant but c mon         Convenient screenshots _tb

1 it doesnt find all the apps i have installed 2 same thing can be done via spotlight the only difference is spotlight finds ALL my installed apps 3 no easy way to get it to come up has to be running to use 4 keybindings are nice but can only be used within the app not for quick desktop shortcuts 5 overall seems more work than it should be for something that is supposed to save time         Don t see much point jmaeser

I currently use Google Quick Search box and naturally I d compare this application s power to something as robust as QSB Besides the lack Command Command or Option Option startup I m used to in apps like TotalFinder and QSB and besides the clunky and abrupt look of the app dark with no smooth fade ins or slide animations kinda distracts the workflow the app s real handicap is its inability to delve into your applications functions and actively search your file structure QSB surprises me many times by continually pulling in apps folders functions and even search suggestions that I may have been looking for and hoped I would find but really doubted my program was able to find QSB surprises me every time For example typing file searches the file menu of the active application to pull in searched functions I use photoshop a lot so QSB remembers where my presets folder is located Launcher is definitely headed in the right direction but it has a lot of catching up to do if its to compare with apps like Alfred QSB Quicksilver actually and Launchy             Definitely the right direction Channing Hinton

I found this app to be useful when launching applications however I will stick with QuickSilver until this has more robust features such as indexing all your documents I tend to open documents by name rather than applications by name and this application could not locate any of my files on my filesystem aside from applications         It s OK jcrawford

I just switched to this from alfred One thing that it had that this doesent is the ability to access the preferences and quit the app while dock and menu bar icon are hidden Also this doesn t look that nice clean There are a good amount of features now but the more the merrier I almost forgot to mention though that the price is unbeatable                 Good could be a bit better henjaffe

I just downloaded it to see if it would replace me using spotlight as a launcher What intrigued me was the ability to do google searches and launch websites from the search window It is very snappy and the first impressions are good However the first app I wanted to launch was iTerm I typed iTerm nothing happened just a blank nothingness I reindexed the app index manually just to make sure and still does not work I am keeping this app around and keeping updated because you can t beat the price and check if a future update fixes this Otherwise it would be great But like this its not quite usable yet             It will not find iTerm or iTerm2 in the launcher leancode

the App works but it does almost exactly the same thing as the spotlight feature thats already built in to OS X                 works Hecatonkerus

i frankly found the free app Alfred better than this it does a good job with everything else except my local files and folders extremely poor and almost non existent     very poor local files search homerSS

Just want to say thanks to the developer and staff for their handy app and after sale service The previous version didn t work on my Snow Leopard The staff contacted me at once and finally got the problem fixed I strongly recommend this app for those who use Quick Silver or Namely before like me Quick Silver offers too much while Namely too little comparing to Launcher Additionally as a paid app I believe they will take care of your concerns and problems like mine as well                     Great app and great after sale service jichifly

I have now tested the new version and I am happy to see that all the bugs listed below seem to have been fixed A great app once again and one I would recommend old review I have purchased both Launcher and NuKit They both suffer from the same bug if you define a shorcut for launching a folder and try to use it the application first compains that the folder does not exist and only if you click ok then it actually loads the folder into a new Finder windows as it is supposed to do This error did not exist in an earlier version avaialble directly from the developers site and I have replicated on several different Macs and accounts I have sent two emails to the developers that have been completely ignored If you care about shorcuts for launching folders stay away from this and do not expect much in terms of customer support if you have problems or request for features                 Bugs fixed AppEagle

This app is absolutely amazing I used to use Quick Silver but as there has been very little development work continued on it it was time to move on This app has all the features of Quick Silver except shortcut keys install Shortcuts for that ans is much prettyer faster and cleaner                     Amazing kingrst

I am a college student majoring in computer engineering and this app is brilliant i bought it and 3 minutes and i already know its gonna be the next big thing Brilliantly simple to use and a very sexy UI The one thing made 100 easier the abillity to make commands For web searches it makes use of the default browser my one bit is that i wish it would stay open after a command so that i can enter multiple commands without clicking on icon and abillity to open mulitple apps at once                     best mac app i have found so far hazardouschurch
