Great App Once downloaded no 3G connection needed                 Great
Many thanks to the developers Easy to use and a great resource for legal news                 Great app for lawyers
This is without question the best legal code app in the app store I use this app both on my iPad and my iPhone daily They continue to improve it with each update Their customer service is the best bar none A number of the features changes I have requested have appeared in the app As to the negative reviews it is 2999 for all of the California codes For the people who think it should be free I would point out that they gave us free codes for two years and at some point they have to charge people to stay in business To purchase all of the code books would be over 1000 and you cant fit even one code book in your pocket Grow up people The charges are reasonable As an attorney who appears in court daily and use this app every day I think the user interface is very smooth and user friendly I didnt buy it to read blogs Are these people who are complaining lawyers Real lawyers that appear in court and try cases Keep up the good work guys                 Best legal code app in the app store
The app works on my iPhone and used to work on my iPad until 10 months ago The developer says theyve been working on an update but as you can see it hasnt been updated in more than a year Suddenly without warning the app began working again on my iPad Strange Also it should be noted that the developer is extremely prompt and responsive to questions and concerns Responds faster than my family and friends              No longer works Great app when it worked update
Bought the Arizona RCP Cant read them App wont work     Doesnt work
Unable to buy in app purchases App freezes when attempting to buy the in app purchases     In app purchases
Dont lug around heavy code books with limited indices Carry them in your searchable iPad LawBox Right now state codes are only available for the big states and they do require an in app purchase But Im sure the developer is adding more PS To get to news feeds to which you have not yet subscribed tap the A to Z button in the upper left after choosing feeds              The Future of Codes
This application is amazing Too bad they cant follow through and reopen the store Well it was good while it lasted     Good while it lasted
Invaluable law reference Also a great tool for studying for citizenship test Thanks guys Muy bueno                 Great law reference
Id give it 4 stars if cal Ed code was available 5 stars if there were more news feeds     Solid BUT
Extremely useful and easy to use application for attorneys paralegals law students etc Also very helpful in studying for the bar exam Provides simple easy access to the Constitution major federal rules and customizable state statutes I love the ability to easily email the black letter law from within the program ie no need to copy exit then paste in email Fantastic RSS reader too Everything in one tidy package Very nicely done                 PERFECT application for practicing lawyers and law students
Absolutely an awesome app I use it daily while on patrol The search capability is outstanding especially when looking for those obscure vehicle codes For the next release is possible to add a sorting group feature for the favorites area A while back you guys added the linking of the notes and favorites so it was able to open the codes via the notes and see the notes under the favorites With several codes as favorites and listed with notes I was hoping a feature could be added to group the codes in different custom sets in the favorites area Right now they are grouped under the code book they came from ie CA VEH CA PENAL etc Can another layer of grouping be added to take codes and sort them under items like Insurance passing equipment etc or whatever someone decides                 Outstanding resource
Even though Im a very light user I really like this app I am a firstyear law student and I cannot see myself without this app it is very useful for simple things like finding a particular code or even pulling up the Constitution of United States                 I like it
Ive followed this app since 11 I spend about 12 an hour every night on LawBox reviewing for the morning I love it                 CLASSIC
Very Convienient the RSS feeds on the go are the perfect way to catch up with the latest law and analysis when I have a spare minute Cant wait to download the Illinois Rules module                 Simple Relevant Useful
I installed the iPad app but nothing shows up under News Feeds just a blank screen           Missing News Content on iPad
This app was perfect before the most recent update now it is horrible It fails to launch when accessing from iPhone When I use it from iPad the interface is more confusing I am very disappointed in this updated app as I used to use it a lot Now I dont know what I can use to replace it Sure enough though I deleted this app     This app is useless
This software is very helpful for the trial lawyer Every statute and court rule is at ones fingertips I am surprised that the major legal publishing companies have not hired this company to bring their publications to the mobile market They need to join the 21st century                 Perfect for the busy lawyer on the go
I practice in Texas and have downloaded some of the Texas Codes and have been using them for about a week I really like the articles that are attached to each statute that provides insight and opinions about that specific provision A really good resource                 Really good
The go to Law App Personality included If you are in court a lot or just need to quick easy reference codes without code book bulk you should get this app Lawbox is not boring and dry like other apps but the app has a fun vibe to it with its own unique flair of personality from intro tutorial through how it functions and with Lawbox support In brief this Lawbox is awesome It looks clean and polished with a convenient and pleasant layout that also has great functionality I use it daily in court and out Readability is easy on the eyes on small or larger screens I have used it on ipad iphone 4 and iphone 4S Lawbox has great search ability to find what you need quickly and is fast to give search results load new codes and link to cases The app also has great features like the ability to click a button below the code you are viewing to go straight to annotations that show full case law text on the statute Another great thing about Lawbox is that you can download individual code sets or all the codes for a whole state The prices are low compared to hard copy books and comparable if not better than other lawtype apps Another cool thing about the app is multiple device use If you purchase and download a code set like the penal code you only pay once and then can upload that code set on multiple devices using your same Lawbox account Lastly I cant say enough about the fabulous Lawbox staff When I first started using the app I had some questions about using the app on one of my devices I sent my question through the app Lawbox responded very quickly In several subsequent emails they were equally quick to respond and each time they were extremely helpful thorough and thoughtful Great App Lawbox Keep up the great work                 One of the best law apps out
Quick access to the law in a pleasant UI Support staff are responsive and accurate                 A Legal Reference Tool
Was this app not free with access to fee codes I used this app everyday in court and in doing legal research to quickly pull up the text of codes while on the go Now I update to the latest version and the interface seems to be built for a phone not a full screen iPad and its 5 dollars per code Am I missing something Deleted     Am I Missing Something
I was using the old version on my 2 yr old iPod touch and bought some additional volumes bankruptcy code etc Then LawBox upgraded I clicked upgrade in iTunes so that it will only run on iOS 43 and my iPod touch cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 421 Now I cant even put the app on my iPod touch and have lost everything I paid for What a total rip off After posting the first paragraph I contacted the developer who got back to me Their heart seems to be in the right place but their problem seems to be that through lack of sophistication in dealing with Apples policies they fell into a well laid trap force everyone to upgrade their hardware Their mistake was upgrading to require iOS 43 when savier developers know not to go past 40 or 42 which work on iPhone 3s and version 2 touchs unless you really have to go all the way to iOS 50 Very few apps stop at 43 because you lose compatibility without gaining that much Indeed more sophisticated developers that made the mistaken leap from 42 to 43 have rewritten to upgrade back to the future to newer versions that are compatible with 42 which is what these guys need to do especially as lawyers are the last to upgrade hardware if it still works Their problem was compounded by Apples trap for the unwary which is that while a device wont upgrade to a version it cannot run iTunes which doesnt seem to remember what device it last synced with will and then it deletes the app from the device when it syncs Nice job Apple That said until these guys figure out how to go back to 42 compatibility dont upgrade unless you are sure you arent upgrading your way out of the app     Dont Upgrade
Great app Well worth the price free today I would probably even pay for this app Id say its definitely a 45 dollar app based on others I have used                 Love the news reader
The recent update fixed the problems with the interface that had cropped up after the crappy update from last month App is really useful again                 Working Great
As others have said iOS 4 killed the app In an attempt to get it to work I deleted the app and reinstalled it as the app summary says to try What it doesnt tell you is that you will lose all the add ons you purchased Now I cant get those back I have gotten no response from anyone in how to get the products i paid for So the product need an update plus a way to redownload purchased materials in case you have to reinstall the app 2 stars until its fixed        Dont delete Purchased Add ons Lost
A continuously great app Very useful and developers very responsive to suggestions                 Love it
So I was in the library at law school and someone asked if anyone had their federal rules of civil procedure book and nobody did I opened up this app found the rule she was looking for and declared theres an app for that Now everyone wants an iPhone For 99 this app is so handy and useful                 Theres an app for that
I purchased the in app copy of the Internal Revenue Code It would be nice to have the sections of the code listed on the index              Great App
Good app No major problems              Good app
If this werent free Id give it a 1 star I was so excited when I saw it FREE 2011 Texas statutes Being a Texas attorney whose practice is very heavily statutebased Ive been trying to find a good Texas code app for a very long time The one I eventually settled on unfortunately decided that the 2007 legislative changes were about current enough Um no theyre not I thought when I saw the app description on this that Id found the answer to my prayers But alas not Its only free as far as the federal stuff goes and beyond that it charges you 199 per notcurrent state code Not exactly whats stated in the app description is it In reality thats not really even all that bad a price I only really regularly need probably the Penal Code HSC CCP Family Code Government Code Probate Code Rules of Appellate Procedure and Rules of Civil Procedure Which should be what 16 altogether I could probably live with that Unfortunately they dont even offer the TRAP and worse despite their claims of having the 2011 codes what they actually provide and what any semicompetent Texas lawyer would describe as a 2011 code are not quite the same thing Not at all actually We just finished up with a legislative session that resulted in a lot of legislative changes to our codes most of which went into effect 9111 This apps 2011 codes show theyre current as of 1111 Hmmwith the single exception of the TRCP it sounds a lot to me like those could be much more accurately characterized as 2009 codes since the last legislative changes they reflect were made more than TWO YEARS AGO Id really like to think thats just a temporary thing After all its just September 5th right now and these things take time you know Surely theyll be updated soon wont they But having already been gypped by the other app developer who never updated beyond 2007 and having been deceived by their app description that they have the current 2011 Texas codes available for free right now I dont know about all that Seeing as Im actually expected to be able to advise clients as to the Texas law thats in effect today that just doesnt seem like a good idea Im sure I should probably be less paranoid and more trusting as to their good intent and diligence on these issues But really Im kinda too busy to fool with this anymore right now anywaysee I just got this amazing email this morning from this poor guy in Nigeria who needs my help with a major business transaction that those pesky international banking laws are holding up FREE HINT TO DEVELOPER no this really is free I promise try listing in your app description when the various state codes will be updated whether we will be getting charged for those updates and would it kill you to admit that ONLY whatever limited federal stuff youve got only Title 28 of the USCREALLY is actually free in any way shape from or fashion Next on my list to try after I delete this will be one that I think is called Texas Bar Legal Its put out by the Computer and Technology Section of the State Bar The apps free though it requires section membership and looks like it includes all the codes plus my muchneeded TRAP The section itself costs 25 to join I never looked into it before assuming I guess that it was something to do with computer law which I dont understand and couldnt care much less about and I dont honestly know anyone whos tried it But it actually it seems more oriented towards how to use computers and technology to improve your practice and has quarterly newsletters CLEs etc Well see how it works out but somehow I think at least my chances of getting updated codes sometime this century might be better if theyre coming from a group of other Texas lawyers who presumably share my terror of relying on outdated law So adios LawBoxme and my disillusioned self will be continuing our search elsewhere        Dont be misled okay dont be lied to
    Great                 5 Stars
Used to be a fantastic app It had a great news reader function with tons of blogs and news cites Now thats gone The user interface used to be amazing Now thats gone Used to be free but now horribly overpriced for code provisions Save yourself some money and get the much superior and free fastcase I had to delete law box after the newest update     Used to be good now not so much
Nothing more than justia provides I have west law next so no use for this     Uninstalled
LawBox is the first to offer the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure in the proper resolution for the iPad This is the code I have carried the most through the years The developer has listened and responded It sounds like they have great ideas for future releases too Great hyperlinks Thanks Don Jemela New Braunfels Tx                 First to offer Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
I find this app most efficient even more so since I can check local and federal updates with just a flick of the finger              Must get
Not a perfect app I would like to see a highlighter please              New York pretty ok
Rulebook is better     Worthless because I cant create an account
Annotate and bookmark features dont work on iPad version     Bugs
Great product Only needs a few tweaks              Awesome
It was great after the update However now it wont run on iOS 4 It crashes immediately     Inconsistent
    Its just OK                 Just ok
App wont open with OS3 Crashes immediately upon launch     Not working
This is a well thought out app by a developer who listens to suggestions The ability to carry many statutes with you on your iPhone and iPad is extremely helpful in court or anytime away from the office                 Top legal reference
