Basic and advanced vocabulary on-the-go or at home: learn vocabulary interactively, deepen your knowledge systematically, practice your pronunciation actively speak German with babbel.com, one of the largest language learning platforms in the world. --- This app is ...
I use this everyday on the train ride into work Simple grammar lessons help me pick up the correct usage of certain words a vocabulary bank that reminds me of words I havent practiced in a while helps me stay on top of my vocabulary Beautiful UI great lessons and a fun way to learn a new language                 I love this app
This app is very helpful and has much to offer for a reasonable price                 Awesome app
The app itself is free but to do any lesson past the first in each category you must buy a subscription for Babbel Not really effective for learning a language if youre not planning on spending a little money        Must Buy a Subscription
Im sure its a great program but it went from free to pay so quickly Very disappointing Its a great app but Its just terrible how they had to start charging you And I was learning so much Whatever 2 stars        You have to pay money
I highly recommend this app for anyone who wants to learn German And for the other reviews who say its annoying they have to pay for the other levels think about it They did not have to let you use that level for free they could have charged u if they wanted to Im only 11 years old and I was able to speak German in 3 months Money well spent and much cheaper than Rosetta Stone I                 Money well spent
Yes you have to pay but you also get computer access as well You have to pay for any good language software I use it in co junction with duo lingo This one is more accurate than DL as well as much more explanatory DL is fun but use Bable if you are serious about learning a language                 Great way to learn
Im very happy and satisfied about the quality of this application keep up the good work guys                 Amazing work
Ive been using Duolingo for a year and Babbel for about a month or two If youre new to a language I would highly recommend Duolingo before commiting to a subscription based app What Babbel does better is being indepth with hundreds of lessons on dozens of subjects and having a more effective system for only 33 a day                 Very Good
That app is amazing for me is the Best app in the App Store that you can download to learn a new language I am actually learning german and I understand a lot of it thats my favorite app I recommend you to download it and also to buy the complete program                 The Best app to learn new languages
Great app Fun and useful                 I love it
I have been using this app alone with Duolingo and Memrise I gave found it to be very helpful and totally different from the other two It is more conversational based It is easy to use I would like it if there were an easy way to keep track of vocabulary but so far I havent been able to find it although I just used the Helpbutton to ask the question It will be interesting to see how quickly I get an answer                 Great app
I have learned so much very good resourceful and well put together for easy learning                 The reason Ill be fluent
Learning languages has never been so easy                 Awesome
Babbel makes learning German fun I enjoy the format in which the lessons are presented I have learned more with this app than I did while taking German in college This is definitely worth the money                 Great
With zero reservations I can safely say that this is the best language learning app I have ever used Unlike most this app teaches grammar in addition to word and phrase memorization I wish there was a way to save notes but I cant have everything The price is very fair                 Best language app Ive used
I love learning German on my phone and I love speaking German with my friends and family                 Yay I love German
I love having a little German lesson wherever I go Whenever I feel like Im getting a bit rusty I can quiz myself on the recent material I went over and then start a new one from anywhere Lately Ive been getting a lesson in during my lunch breaks which always impresses the German travelers that stay in the hotel I work for                 Great for learning German
I purchased this app on ITunes However this company does not have a way to verify that you paid on ITunes so I was without access to the paid apps for a week The site crashed several times but they did not offer technical support because I wasnt registered with them because it kept crashing Thankfully ITunes offered troubleshooting for me and now the problems are resolved The people at Babbel dont work on the weekends so after waiting another 2 days they unceremoniously gave me access without any apologies or even a Thank You I paid for 12 weeks and now only have 11 to use Once you do gain access to the courses they are quite good           Good app bad customer service
Although the first couple of lessons seemed easy I got quickly bogged down in the difficult spelling and verb conjugation Some small issues with the user interface loading the wrong content sometimes but I am sure they can fix that        hard for beginners
非常棒希望能在一年内循序渐进学完所有课程                 很棒的app
I am using the app to learn German and have not been to the website Overall its pretty good I like the combination of verbal and visual It does an excellent job of building your ability to spell It starts with matching words or phrases then you pick the words out of collections of letters spaces are appropriately placed then you need to type the words on your own Well done The user needs to repeat lessons a lot in order for it to sink in but that holds true for learning anything new at least for me My only criticism is I think there should be more reviewing After every 5 lessons or so maybe a paragraph that puts all the words together We learn new words a few at a time which is great I know that in a particular lesson there is only one of a couple of verbs that is an option and that really helps to understand when to use different words I think it would be good to put more new words together to better understand a more global usage of those collections of words Overall its a great learning tool if you are new to a language              Comprehensive starting tool
Freeto download the app but ya gotta pay up to get content Looks like a lot of material but I dont like the sneakiness     Sneaky sneaky
Ive been using this app in order to learn German for a couple of weeks now The methodology of how they teach has been better for me than Rosetta or Duolingo Im progressing quickly and our exchange student from Switzerland is beginning to be able to understand me Plus my retention is improving The only real issue Ive had is with the voice recognition It seems that it has trouble understanding me on the first wordphrase of each series If I skip the first one the rest are fine                 So far so good
I like using this app It works well but there is poor integration with the desktop site Also reviewing what was wrong after completing a lesson is lacking However if only using this app it is good              Good but room for improvement
I found this app very easy to use The lessons were fun and straight forward Definitely give this App a try                 Great App
I have studied four years of German through high school as well as visited the country twice and this content is very accurate I recommend to anyone no matter what level youre at beginner or advanced There is a lot you can learn here Happy studying              Sehr gut
The app is frustrating and getting more so You can only choose to begin at beginner or intermediate nowhere in between You cant skip anything so for lessons that cover material you already know you have to go through the whole process of hearing then spelling with only the correct letters provided the words and then a drill Youre told to learn the article as part of the noun but it is not consistently provided so look it up on your own This isnt an immersion course so please provide the articles Throughout all the beginner classes you never get a chance to compose or type an entire sentence on your own In the classroom I was speaking and writing complete granted brief sentences from day one Now in the intermediate courses Im still being spoonfed letters and words and just selecting word order or plugging in words here and there in dialogues Then out of nowhere Im asked to write several paragraphs Thats a bit of a leap Id rather start with writing individual sentences In the intermediate courses the drills arent broken up as much As the screen fills I cant scroll the page up so that I can see what I am typing The virtual keyboard covers the areas to fill in and I have no way of detecting typos Speaking of which the app has a few which I dont really expect from a product I pay for The not being able to see what Im typing is just poor design and a deal breaker for me Some of the German speakers over emote but in general the quality of the speaking is excellent The teaching methodology isnt as good but it isnt awful just inflexible assumes that you know grammatical terms and concepts and doesnt quite get the job done Too much time wasted on vocabulary few people need not enough time on learning essential nouns verbs and expressions           Frustrating
Great for vocab and painless grammar learning                 German
I have enjoyed using BABBEL It has been a good tool to help me refresh my German I like that it teaches basic phrases that are useful day to day Practical learning Everyone learns differently but this process helped me                 Great learning tool
I love babbel The algorithm behind the vocabulary review is great the words you get wrong keep popping more often until you get them consistently right then are sent to the back of the queue                 Great app
I liked this App it is very professional I am getting as many resources as I can to learn German I wont market the others but this App is nice and awesome thank you developers The price is not really high but not low either its price is justified in the amount and quality of its contents If you are looking for a serious app to take your German to the next level buy this App do not buy Rosetta Stone or Fluenz they are way too expensive this App combines quality good design tons of German and all at a reasonable price One advice to the developers of this App include videos in the courses and I will love you even more I am very pleased with having bought this App I want to take my German to a solid level and get another subscription for another language Im fluent so far in French Spanish and English so Im motivated enough to be proficient in German too One thing that I must congratulate you too about Babbel is unlike the majority of the other programs you guys are not using cartoons to teach the language I want to learn the language to use it with real people not cartoons so your photos within the App are a really good thing Kudos for that And I love them because I see photos from Berlin and other German cities which keeps me motivated too Thank you Babbel your App is helping me so much to learn German                 Good App with a fair price
This app is great It is really helping me learn German                 Best langauge learning app
Who knew you could teach yourself German using only an inexpensive app This one helps you learn vocabulary grammar word order and pronunciation It features brief realistic conversations instead of the freestanding perfectly formed sentences you see in books and in other apps When you make a mistake it tells you instantly by means of a popup tip what youve done wrong Also I like that you can either progress through a comprehensive course at a given level eg Beginner 1 Beginner 2 etc or choose an area of interest such as a subject Food and Wine Culture Everyday Life or grammatical category Nouns Verbs etc My only criticism is that you have to switch to a physical keyboard if you have one in order to capitalize nouns The onscreen keyboard in the app makes no distinction between caps and lower case Fortunately once you click Enter to check your answer the capitalization shown on the screen does appear as it should                 Not to be missed
I started using the website Babbel before the app got going and both have come a long way not without some major and minor hiccups The app is not as comprehensive as the website but it is excellent for just jumping in and learning If you are a beginner there is more than enough content to keep you going for a year or so It mainly provides vocabulary building and grammar There are some basic lessons with reading writing and pronunciation but if you are more advanced and looking for language interaction the website is still the only place for chatmessaging The only thing Id say this app lacks is a custom vocabulary builder Sometimes I just want to add words to the review manager without doing the lessons              Very easy to use
This app is very good for beginners                 Best way to learn German
I love this APP I will Use this until I master conversational German Thanks                 Review
I am very happy with this app It does a good job helping me learn the language with good explanations and exercises that teach my brain through writing speaking listening and multiple choice I am happy with the responsiveness of the development team and am very pleased I have access to my vocabulary list on the iPad in the latest release                 Excellent app and support
So Im learning German Ive tried RS and its great This however is just as good at a fraction of the cost This does feel more like the traditional method of learning a language Once again I feel its easily overlooked due to the price point              Good alternative to the leading competitor
it installed in Spanish Im not Spanish                 swoooooty
Very easy to use Leads you through each lesson                 Great language app
Get duo lingo     Crap
Applicazione perfetta Scaricata per imparare il tedesco e in poche settimane potrete creare frasi da soli eandando avanti con gli esercizipotrete anche iniziare a leggere qualche libro in tedesco                 Ve la consiglio enormemente
So I Wanted To Learn A New Language And I Chose German I Went Through At Least Ten Apps I Didnt Like Any Of ThemBut Then I Tried This And I Have Had An Amazing ExperienceAll Of You Should Try This AppIts AMAZING                 IM ONLY TEN BUT FLUENT
There is a saying that life is too short to learn Germanthis is not true with Babbel which makes learning a new language fun and more intuitive Great app                 Better than duolingo IMHO
Great                 Great
I have used workbooks flashcards cds Duolingo and Rosetta This app is the single best self study way to learn coversational german Nothing can replace practicing with real people everyday The app needs a control to adjust its talking speed                 The best language app to date
I am an American who recently moved to Germany for what I expect to be 23 years I have no hope to master the German language during this time but I want to be able to communicate in a very basic way with German people in the places I go grocery store train station bus restaurants etc I spent a lot of money on Rosetta Stone and was disappointed in its practicality I spent a lot of money on private German lessons which also disappointed me with their obscene focus on detail which definite article to use which plural ending etc I would like to know about those things but Germans will still understand me if I say these things a little incorrectly Basic communication is what I was after I also have Duolingo which is fine but lacking in explanations of certain concepts I knew that Babbel was just what I needed when in one of the first lessons I learned a very practical phrase Im getting a beer My favorite part of this app is the contextual German conversations in which I SEE and HEAR words I havent learned yet but only have to fill in words I have learned I have learned so much from those activities and Babbel is the only place I have found those I really love this app Better than my private language teacher Its a great purchase for the money                 Exactly what I was looking for
Must have for German beginner you can access anywhere anytime with your devices                 Love it
Babbel is an excellent language learning app which has greatly improved my skills in German I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a new language or improve current skills Thanks for such a great product                 Babbel German
So far this has been a great app in both design and content                 Great for beginning German
