This is my Go to app for learning languages The ONLY thing I don t like is there is no lesson about WHY like why is there an o in front of some words or an e or an a etc one game tests you on it but they never tell you why it is that way Like which one is for singular and which is for plural etc Just wish there was more information in the lessons No instructions for certain games so you just kinda wing it                 Almost perfect Guppylove23

I love Mindsnacks I use their Spanish app to keep up with my vocabulary I m now using it to learn Portuguese I love the games and their different strengths Swell develops speed in recognition skills Belly helps visualize new vocabulary Word Birds reinforces spelling to help with language production My only request or suggestion would be to allow music from the native iOS Apple Music or a third party application to play in the background simultaneously I would love to play some bossa nova quietly in the background while I play It would add to the experience                     Great Application the 1st reviewer

Brazilian Portuguese and Portuguese from Europe are not the same While the vocabulary is similar and close the pronunciation is different The default should be European Portuguese or have an option for both in my opinion Sad I wanted to use this to communicate with my Vav             Great tool for learning but not useful for people of Portuguese descent ofphaselock

This is a really great way to learn a new language There are plenty of fun games to try and different ways to practice spelling listening reading I ve tried many for learning Brazilian Portuguese and this is by far my favorite                     Really Fun My favorite language app Ashley Portuguese

The app keeps crashing on me I am on an iPhone 5S iOS 8 3 I really want to learn Portuguese because half my family is Portuguese and I know a few Spanish people Since Spanish is very similar to Portuguese I could communicate with them However the Spanish version of this app doesn t even crash on me which makes this even more frustrating This is exactly what happens 1 I open the app 2 After about 15 seconds the app crashes EVERYTIME no matter what I m doing         Seems like a fun But crashes Blue_SF

I love this app so much I have learned so many new words I also write out each word five times for practice and hear the pronunciation from the app to help with accent marks Each game helps you learn the language and the quest aka goals keep you wanting to beat each challenge and make it to the next level Highly recommend it                     Highly Recommend TheCollegeKid

I needed help learning Portuguese and didn t like language learning apps until a friend told me about this one The first three lessons are free and then you have to pay 4 99 for the 50 other lessons What is 5 when computer language programs costs hundreds of dollars I love that Learn Portuguese has made learning a game that actually teaches you as you play The games help you learn how to accurately pronounce spell and recognize words grammar It even teaches you grammar I like to break up this app with actually writing the words down to help my brain retain them I also try not to spend more than an hour or so on it so I actually remember what I learn If you re looking to learn Portuguese I d say give it a shot but also be prepared to be diligent in using it                     What a Gem krmwit

This app has helped me learn so much and I feel like I have a photographic memory because I m often surprised at how much I can remember The reason it works so well is because the more you interact with a set of words the more likely you are to remember them The app offers a variety of clever games that help train language skills that you may not often actively think about such as Error Recognition or Rapid Recall Plus the price of this app is great 5 is a very inexpensive price for the learning experience you re getting Try it out                     Great Way to Learn Portuguese Brennenjb

Amazing app My only gripe and reason i dont give it five stars is because it needs a better way to allow us to study a lessons words before playing the games If it had a play button where it would just continually play through the English and Portuguese phrases I could listen to all of them a few times THEN play Otherwise it s by far the best Fun games useful phrases An option to have a mans voice would be cool to                 Obrigado Thejairu

Whoever thought of this is a genius With all the games they provide to teach you the words it is both fun and effective I had already spoke spanish so the portuguese was slightly easy to learn anyway but I had also bought the Mandarin learner and it is equally effective                     Smart process bernmcdonnell

I normally don t take the time to write reviews for apps But this app is AMAZING I did buy the additional package for 4 99 but is was TOTALLY WORTH IT It s great for kids and adults I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH in just a couple of weeks I WOULD GET IT AND TRY IT it s a lot of fun and I play it all the time I haven t gotten to any verbs or phrases and I m not sure if there is any You may have to look for more reviews or research if it teaches you anything else than nouns I already knew some words because my family is Brazilian but this helped me pronounce it better and spell it I would get it especially if you want to learn Portuguese in a fun way Thanks Hope you have fun with it                     Best app for learning a foreign language princessbuttercup498
