I showed the app to my kids bought it and they played with it and read along Perfect fun for 1 EASY FOR KIDS TO OPERATE might be too tough for adults
My kid got bored in five minutes It says the word first so the kid does not bother to learn it Waste of money Terrible
Not fun at all My 4 yr old can sound out the words so I bought it to reinforce that and provide practice to recognize the words on sight Nothing to engage their attention Boring

I have a 6year old who is supposed to be learning to read by practicing the standard sight word list handed out by his teacher but instead hes playing Mario on the DS So I looked in the App store and found this app which seemed friendly looking and educational I bought it turned it on and traded him my iPhone for his DS Lo and behold hes now totally immersed in learning to read while Im beating World 7 on Mario Good times and education to boot

Its great this app has sight words What I dont understand is why the voice says the word immediately Shouldnt the child have an opportunity to read it or say it from memory first And why is there a countdown clock Honestly it doesnt seem it would be all that hard to turn this into an actual game and I guess I mistakenly thought this was supposed to be a game As it is it is a collection of sight words with nice graphics and a voice that immediately reads the word Id love info on a sight word game Ive got Sight Words 1 2 and at least that waits for you to push a button before the voice says the word Could someone explain this to me
It doesnt give the kids a chance to read the word before it tells them what it is My fault for not reading reviews before purchasing As an added bonus the app crashes EVERY TIME Dont buy Horrible waste of money
When you open up the app it does absolutely nothing Scam App doesnt work
Save your money Difficult to work Buy Sight Word app insteadits easier and much better Please trust me HUGE Waste
The word is read as it comes on screen so kid cant even try And the timer makes no sense Not worth it
