Ive only seen the first issue of LearnToProgram but I think its fantastic I love the idea of a monthly magazine with bite sized programming lessons Its a wonderful supplement to their online video courses and their books Mr Lassoff really knows what hes doing A Brilliant Idea and a SUPERB APP

Good intro info for programmers in an app thats easy to navigate Good info laid out nicely
There is plenty of good stuff However it is definitely meant more for novices than newbies Most jargon are not really explained and its not obvious at first that you can tap on some things to launch a video Also there are a number of typos Still worth getting and paying for Speaking of which the email promised a free copy after reviewing and posting on Twitter However I had to purchase the copy in order to try it Not sure what is up with that but I plan to subscribe either way The price is low enough to justify More for novices
I saw a quick preview of the magazine It seems to cover several different programming languages and shows a lot of promise There is a special section for girls and minorities to get them interested in programming When I examine the magazine in more depth I can come back with a more comprehensive review Quick preview
Ive sampled this app and from what Ive read it looks good for beginners and experienced programmers alike It has good explanations and examples as well as screenshots A good magazine for programmers
A lot of usable content for the price I think what I liked most is there were topics Im totally unversed in and it gives a chance to read up a little before taking the plunge on another technology My only dislike is that the preview wasnt long enough to peruse all of the content So I cannot actually comment on that content Jim Burke LearntoProgram magazine
Another great addition the the wonderful learning material provided by Learntoprogram I have found many of their courses very helpful in expanding my coding knowledge and expect this magazine to be another great tool for aspiring codersdevelopers Looks good and function well Looking forward to seeing whats to come Nice
