this works well the only way to get the app not to use your GPS is to shut it off in system preferences which you could disable GPS by just pushing the GPS icon on the lower part of the screen cause I like to just monitor the map and it wastes more battery that way and it would be nice to see a way to register your account and be able to report an outage through the software Works great but could use more features WX4GPS
For those of you complaining that you can t see your specific hood on this map you need to allow LG E to use your current location on sign up for this app It works beautifully Definite 5 Stars Neighborhood outage specific Twighthouse

Power went out 7 30P Did locate my neighborhood as a red triangle on the map Doesn t zoom in on specific streets Didn t ever give a time frame for repair just noted under review Did like the 800 displayed to report the outage That and the ability to see the widespread scope of outages were the most useful aspects Used 8 13 draft63

Same experience As other reviewer for 19 June No symbols come up at all and even better recorded phone line says outages are being repairs while NO outages are reported in our neighborhood RIGHT No service since 0800 Very TERRIBLE Davegasser

So I downloaded this app 4 hours into the power outage today and there are currently no alerts of any power outages Maybe this is a first time bug but I am very disappointed in it s 100 inaccuracy Terrible Villbill
