The Light is now available for $0.99 for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.0 has been released on 2014-11-25. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I find this app can really add drama to some of my photos You just need to go easy with it But if you learn how to use it wisely you will be rewarded I really wish they had an iPad version                     Subtle Effects SolisLacus

Like others have said it s a little slow on my first gen iPod but the results are amazing It really can help take a boring photo and make it much more interesting And it s never crashed on me                     Amazing results Photopopulous

I frequently use Light to spice up photos taken from both the camera as well as imported from my computer I was impressed by the variety of patterns that I could choose from and how much of a difference it made when adding them to my images                     I love this app MP59

This could be a great app and when it works well it is The main problem is there are significant delay and sometimes no response from the program during certain edits Then have to shut down the program and lose the work that has taken time to create This is in sore need of some updates to remedy these problems         Needs work cgpjs

It s 2 and on an iPhone so I guess my expectations should be low but I found the app clunky and of minimal use It started of promising enough with plenty of options and patterns but applying any changes is painstakingly slowwww I d say wait on this one They ll either improve it or drop it to 99c         Meh shg71

First of all you have to understand that this app requires you to take some time to understand how it works Because it s so processor intensive you have to be a little patient You also can t expect to rescue a bad picture with the addition of light effects When I first tried Light I knew I d have to come back to it when I had time to really get to know it Now I can say this is easily one of my favorite photography apps There are dozens of lights to choose from and infinite angles sizes and parmeters to choose from making this a tool for people who love to get lost in creating art for the joy of it For instance you can spend an hour on one photo saving a version then trying something different ending up with 20 versions to choose from However if you are not known for your attention span maybe this is not for you For me I ll be watching closely to see what Digital Film Tools will come up with next                     Astonishing Pure magic PureRainX

this is a terrific extra feature there are many choices to work with and the effect is great particularly the foliage effects it s a trifle tricky to enlarge or shrink the light effect other than that it s a beautiful little effect I m glad I bought it Portraits look terrific w light shadow on them                     great app YrNameHr

Would it be possible to reverse the patterns to create shadows Typically an object s shadow tree leaves for example is what we would expect to be cast on a wall Update I discovered a way to get the effect I wanted Since for example Winter Tree is a solid object and not a source of light one would expect its shadow to be cast on the subject but the gobo does the reverse it casts the tree as a source of light A number of the presents act this way putting shadows where light should be and light where shadows should be My solution is to use another photo app to reverse the image I want to work with turning it into a negative Then I apply the troublesome gobo save the image and then go back to the other app to reverse it back to a positive image There are a number of photo apps that will make your image a negative chances are you already have one                     Shadows willrob

This app seemed very appealing and after purchasing I was very impressed It is very user friendly and I kinda enjoy trying to apply this app to photos but that s the problem I can t really find a good application of this app Out of 15 pics I have used this app with only 1 did I actually enjoy the end result Maybe I need to take some pics specifically for this but I m not a photographer Either way I like the app and the specific nature of this app is appealing but for 1 99 I feel like I dooped myself I hope you enjoy it though I do a little bit             Hard finding use ArmorOfGod

Not sure where the lower numbers come from but this little tool is awesome You play with light and adjust it to maximize the impact of your photos I m a little amazed that it works so well I was up and running with Light in just a few minutes It s not the end all or be all of iPhone photo apps but it s a good tool to add to your arsenal At two bucks it s well worth it The only thing I would recommend is the ability to see before and after the effect is applied                     Awesome App Film8ker

i dont mean to rag on things but this application is trash i seriously want my 2 back theres probably free apps out there that are more useful then this application i baught this app because it sounded cool but then when i tried to use it i realized its just one of those awful fake lighting programs i hate stuff like that it makes the picture look incredibly fake its evident that this program only tries to mimick certain light formations which looks cheesy and awful if you want to relight your photos USE CURVES and lighten it that way dont add fake lighting i cant believe i wasted 2 on this     worthless save your money alex Merenkov

The interface to this application is well laid out but still has plenty of room for improvement They can also work on making this app perform faster than a crawl It is hard to be patient for this app to finish thinking Also I highly recommend using Apollo patterns instead of Gam patterns I have experience in the lighting industry and would ask for Apollo before I ever asked for a Gam gobo Better quality and better customer service         Slow Use Apollo instead of Gam Endoze

This app is painfully slow and is not feature packed by any means Infact it has only one purpose but when it comes down to it it does what it does and does it well I d like to see it run faster and if it droped to 1 I d 100 recomend The effects look natural and with some creative placement scaling and rotation of the light filters you can give your photo the touchup they probably need as the iPhone has one of the worst cameras out there                 Ok Dannox19

This app is really great but you have to be creative to begin with It won t magically change bad photos into good ones If you have an eye for photography cinematography and lighting Light is a great app for experimenting with light What you did virtually can be applied in the real world and can be an awesome learning tool On the flip side the app is a bit processor intensive and crashes once in a while but the bottom line is that this is a great app from a company that has a solid reputation in the industry Great job                     Great app creativity required petetews

This is a nice working app with cool features I haven t experienced any crashing like other posters mention This app is useful entertaining and allows for some cool image effects You need to think of this app like it s a game You ll want to practice and have fun with it It is certainly easier than doing the same thing in Photoshop and the more you practice the more useful it will be                 Very cool app worth the 1 99 cansweigart

Just bought this app and it s a beaut What makes it so cool is the subtle way the lighting wraps around the subject The light actually bends where it should with proper perspective as it curves around cheeks shoulders etc How does this effect work Does it use luminance to guess which objects are front and back I m a Photoshop dummy Is there a comparable filter in PS that does the same trick If so I can t find it So here s a nifty 1 99 filter that outperforms the world s leading digital photography app My only regret is that it s limited to the iPhone s small photo sizes Wish I could get it on the desktop                 How the heck do they do this AjBezark

This app keeps crashing and going right back to my home screen I have tried doing what they recommend in their directions but it doesn t work Also someone mentioned that they should have instructions on the site I agree this is a bit tricky to use         Might be good Jhstubbs
