Lightbot one hour coding is a free basic coding app that lets kids guide a robot into lighting up certain squares through a series of simple picture commands It does have directions that need to be read but the programming itself is through pictures It allows the child to press play to test their codes immediately They can either check each piece as they go or wait until the end With young children I would recommend talking them through it with asking questions together The hardest part is helping them see the direction perspective of the robot Dylan and I just played for over 30 minutes and had a blast It works on giving and following directions perspective orientation of objects coding problem solving patterns cause and effect and more Can you tell that I like this app a lot                     I am a mom and an Elementary Teacher Toddlermom22months
