I tried to like this app but it has serious flaws To begin with a color sequence cycle only works while the app is open and the iPhone is awake set the phone down and it goes to sleep and the cycle gets stuck on the current color Second there are no instructions I managed to figure out how to do things but the app is nonintuitive and without any help file     Flawed

A fantastic app with an attractive and intuitive UI Ive been able to get a lot more out of my LIFX bulbs since switching to Lightbow I even used the app to control the lighting for a play I designed in a nontraditional theater space The preset packs are super fun                 great app

This update restores WeMo functionality and adds my Osram Flex This works great for a mixed HueWeMo setup Thanks for your active development and responsiveness                 Great update Best app for mixed lighting setups

Heck yes an app that does what I want with Hue finally I create scenes that I like without sacrificing my sanity Its fairly easy if your new to it I learned by just playing around and it is really pretty intuitive A powerful tool since I have 20 hue lights                 Very nice app

I like being able to setup lighting animations but cant seem to figure out how to keep them running when the app is in the background or closed I have setup a trigger to start an animation when the app closes but it doesnt seem to work I would LOVE to see this app ported to Mac so I can leave it running full time              Great Features

Id typically be annoyed to see inapp purchases but seeing as the developer has taken user feedback and made his application improve its functionality I dont really mind As long as the updates weve all patiently awaited remain free Im quite happy Thank you developer EDIT If I could add a sixth star I would The developer Peter even personally responds to his users Thats customer service EDIT Id like to see the option for LIFX triggers to run in the background              It got even better

Major features have been broken for months and months release after release Group features do not work correctly Preset sharing is broken Developer is unresponsive to emails and bug fix requests but there are plenty of new in app purchase options with each new release           I used to love this app

If you are still using Wemo App time to retire it Switch to Lightbow and suddenly everything is instant I can now turning on all lightswitches in my living room with just one click Yes Lightbow has Groupinv feature for Wemo Lightswitch I have 4 wemo lightswitches in my bedroom with Grouping I can turn on 2 or more switches all at once Very cool                 Top of the class

Best program Ive found to control my combination of LIFX Hue lights and WEMO switches Offers an enormous amount of features and makes it easy to control everything from both my iPad and iPhone The shared presets made it easy to make my presets once and share then to my wifes and daughters phone Great support from the developer The Dresden FLSPP strip control is awesome and another example of how responsive the developers are in making this the best light control program out there There is nothing better out there Gotta have this one                 Excellent LIFX Hue support Great app

Ever wonder why Lightbows App Store page usually says not enough ratings to display an average Thats because each time a bug is fixed or a feature added ratings and stars are reset Its crazy but the more an app is updated the more time App Store shoppers see a blank space in Ratings and Reviews Potential users pass by and sales may dip but its worth it Every update adds something exciting or patches up something weak The average app review time usually exceeds one week and by then more fixes are ready so for some apps like Lightbow you can hit a point where its perpetually waiting in App Review Reviews are Broken Many reviews on the App Store are fakepaid or from the developers circle of friends who may not even use the app Many are actually tech support questions with no way for the developer to contact the user to address his or her concern Lightbow cant always meet your exact feature requirements or troubleshoot your specific hardwarenetworking problem but an email or ZenDesk will make sure theres a chance Lightbow is the most fullfeatured actionpacked lighting control software on iOS for the widest variety of lighting hardware Before you scroll down your search results because you see a blank space instead of little stars check out the screenshots website or emailfacebook directly with the developer Lightbows average time between updates is less than eighteen days If you support this keep it fresh development philosophy consider leaving a star rating or review to help with the blank space problem                 You REALLY shouldnt be reading this review

Latest update cause application to crash after a few seconds of being open on iPad air with iOS 802 and 803 worked fine before that on Phillips light set up with Phillips receiver Tried to uninstallreinstall lost all of my settings of course still same problem application crashes after running for a few seconds     Doesnt work anymore

Great app with a good feature set Lightbow can do everything the Philips app can plus many more granular controls enabling very complex patterns and loops Groups are fantastic and presets work like youd expect you can also make presets for turning specific or groups of lights off Great developer too Through many email exchanges hes shown a deep understanding of what makes users happy and that shows in his app                 Powerful

This app lets you pick and assign colors easily But thats the only thing thats easy to do with it I cant understand how to create good subtle animations the app bugs a lot preventing you from assigning a particular color it defaults to blue on 3 of my bulbs and I cant change it and it overrides other apps trying to change the colors And it is very expensive     Expensive buggy and hard to use

The application was working great until it updated to version 19 Now every time you use the all off button the app crashes repeatedly and no longer works The app has become totally useless and Ive had to switch back to the original Hue software which is not as powerful as this app     Rendered useless after update to 19

Ive tested every app out there and this is definitely best as far as functionality goes It works 95 of time whereas others only work 75 or less                 This is the best for Hue

I bought this app based on what appeared to be sounds reviews its crashed 100 of the time on my iPhone 6 Incredible time waster     Waste of money

This works a hell of a lot better than the new version of the LIFX app thats for sure Scheduling is a bit iffy and trying to have multiple iThings control the same lights can get a bit weird but this app is much more usable than most lighting controllers And the light animation features are pretty cool                 Pretty good

Just a great app for the hue system It is comprehensive and leaves room for personal creativity              Not perfect but close

There are still a few rough areas but the developer is very responsive and working diligently on the overall experience I returned all of my WeMo lights and replaced them with Hue compatible lights in order to take full advantage of this app              One of the best Light Controllers for Hue

I tried a few different apps but now run everything through LightBow It allows so much control over the lights color and temperature grouping for scenes triggers and transitions it even integrates my WeMo switch which I use for a nonsmart spotlight Its just such a useful and powerful app                 Best app for Hue Ive used

Lightbow is the best app for the Hue lights and can also control my WeMo switches Newest update has a glitch that caused WeMo not to be discovered Developer has already responded to my email I have never experienced such quick response Read some negative comments about in app purchased presets I treat them as not only a purchase of some good presets also as support to the developer                 Great App Great Support

This app is on my home screen So why four stars and not five It is the recently offered incredibly overpriced nearly useless inapp purchases light collections It feels like the developers owe money to a loan shark and had to do generate cash fast Now that the negative is over with I can say that this is one of the top three or four Hue apps in existence and I own all of them Its the only app that has the ability to utilize Hues rapid sequence strobe effects has a fantastic user interface and great customization capability Without question purchase this app just avoid the inapp purchases              One of the absolute best but inapp purchases keep me from giving a fivestar

Bought this for animation loops but none of them work anymore Changing to solid colors works but clicking any animation loop does nothing EDIT Clicking the small play button for animations does not always work You have to click the tableview cell of the animation              Animation Loops Not Working

I love the app The one thing I would absolutely love would be a widget option in the pull down screen much like the hue app does Being able to control all my hue lights and wemo switches through a widget would be awesome              One requested feature

In the beginning I used only the Philips Hue App to control my Hue lights until I found this gem Wow I had no idea what I was missing Lightbow is so much more powerful And not only that but its also so much more precise in the way you can create your light recipes just the way you like them Forget fatfingering a palette to try and pick a color and saturation with Lightbow you get precise sliders for hue saturation and brightness and numeric values are shown for each of these so you get exactly what you want every time And if you want to create shades of white the app actually shows you the color temperature in degrees Kelvin so theres no guessing You can create animations if youre into that and sometimes thats fun but you dont have to Lightbow is perfect for creating normal static light recipes as well just like you can do with the Philips Hue app except that Lightbow does it better You can do transitions between colors and of course you can fade lights in or out By the way all animations continue to run even if you switch to another app or if you lock your phone which is great You can specify triggers for example activate certain light recipes at certain times on certain days think alarm clock or activate light recipes on a countdown timer but there are other triggers as well you can set stuff to happen when you shake your iOS device or when the app opens or closes I havent used those other triggers yet but I use the alarm clock and countdown timers all the time I use Lightbows alarm feature to slowly fade in my bedroom lights in the morning to help wake me up more gently which is great in winter when its still dark outside when I get up And I use a gradual fadeout on a timer during meditation in the evening You can also for example create light recipes that only affect the brightness but leave the hue and saturation alone great for quickly dimming your lights no matter what colors they are currently set to The apps interface is absolutely gorgeous and really wellorganized You get a global onoff switch as well as individual onoff switches for each of your lights on an easily accessible screen the little Hue Bulb icons even show the actual colors of the respective bulbs I cant say enough good things about this app and theres more awesomeness in it than can be summarized in a short review You have to experience it This is my default app now for controlling my Hue lights Without it Hue lights are just not complete One of my favorite features when you create a light recipe or preset as theyre called in the app you can doubletap any of the sliders and then select ranges of color saturation and brightness and tell the app to pick a random value from those ranges every time you activate the preset The app already comes with two such light recipes preconfigured Random Colors and Anything But Green and they do exactly what they say Tap on Random Colors for example and each of your bulbs will be assigned a different random color I use this frequently This is a great way to change the lighting atmosphere of the room and discover new lighting combinations without having to manually create them first Okay enough said Go get this app now you will love it You spent 200 on three LED bulbs if you only use the Philips Hue App you are doing yourself a huge disservice I recommend you get Lightbow to really get the most out of your Hue lights One last thing a while ago I had a question about the app and contacted the developer and he was very responsive friendly and helpful Great app great customer service what more can one ask for I hope you found this review helpful                 Without this app your Hue lights are not complete

Thanks The latest update took a great app and turned it into a pain in the rear We use multiple devices to control the lights Wall desk mounted iPads plus iPhones With the latest update we cant refresh the status of the lights between devices If the light has been changed on another device it can no longer be controlled without toggling back and forth     Used to work

If you want something to control both your WeMo and Hue setups this is the ultimate app Lightbow lets you easily create custom presets and easily control your WeMo and Hue devices on the fly You can group lights and adjust them all with amazing simplicity Ive purchased lots of apps to control my setup but after Lightbow Ive stopped looking                 There is No App Better

While I feel that this is the best overall app for hue its still lacking I cant understand for the life of me why there isnt a simple color picker Either there needs to be predefined color blocks for the basic colors red blue orange etc for easy switching or a rgb input Please make the basics easier           Best hue app overall

For 5 you expect a good experience and after playing with it for an hour Ive deleted it and will dispute the charges If you leave the app on but lock your phone any light sequence you had running will stop It is also difficult to set up sequences     Waste of Money

The idea behalf the app is a good one however the app stops working or ceases to animate the lights every time I have used it The app also says that the device running the all is unable to handle the of animations I have used it on ipad2 iPhone 6 iPad Air etc and it has the same error I definitely would not recommend this all until it is fixed     Good concept poor execution
