Little MIDI Machine is an analog-style MIDI step sequencer app for the Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer interface. This app requires you own the hardware Line 6 Mobilizer MIDI interface hardware accessory for full functionality. Little MIDI ...
The first music MIDI Sequencer app to get it right With the save directly to iCloud I can pull up my saved files on my iPhone and other iPad without wasting time on exporting The midi response is great and the internal sample sound is very helpful 3 additional features wish list that would make this app the only go to pattern sequencer would be 1 making internal sound pick up the note length 2 having leftright pan control setting as with Velocity and Note Length 3 expand the octave slider range Thank You lliot ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
yeah this is a good one thumbs up
Very very cool and simple modular synth style midi Sequencer app well done I bought a line 6 midi mobilizer primarily to use this app was up and running in about 45 seconds I installed it a while ago and dont remember what it cost Maybe free One small request Slides Oh man that would be great Would absolutely pay good money for that Thank you So Great
Could be better Add a Random button Make bpm easier to set I keep drifting into decimals A way to input points with a sliding gesture Still i do not see any other step sequencers that allow me to sequence other apps thru virtual midi that is as simple and fun as this Theres genome sequencerbut idk I like the immediacy and simplicity of this one Would pay for an improved version Best for what it does right now
Another superb app from Art synthetic bits With the new coreMidi functionality the app now allows me to control one or two of my hardware synths and provide rhythm with Funkbox at the same time The new random setting is really fun and really useful If it would play in the background Id give it 7 stars little BIG midi machine
Needs better UI Cool utility but limited
Nice little App as long as you have a camera connector kit It runs my PAiA Fat Man without issues I understand the vintage slider interface it is ok but it would be amazing if note names were available also Defiantly worth the memory space on my iPad mini it will get lots of use Fun tool
Easy to use sequencer works great with clock sync with other apps for recording Easiest sequencer I have found on ipad so far great job with this one Awesome midi controller
I dont know who could give this a low score It really is great and FREE What more do you want Awesome
This is a wonderful little step sequencer It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of dedicated software sequencers such as Numerology but it works wonders in a pinch With the recent addition of CoreMidi support this is definitely a 5star freebie Three improvements would knock it out of the park 1 an autogenerate button that randomly populates the notes 2 forcetoscale quantization and 3 automutate that slowly shifts the notes over time a la Numerology Perhaps these could be added to the Little Midi Machine Pro edition Brilliantly Straightforward Step Sequencer Now has CoreMidi
I would have rated this review 5 stars but the default skin kills my vision its literally painful to look at on an iPad air retina screen Give me the ability to change the colors of the skin at least and I could definitely see me rating this app higher Could be 5 stars
This with alchemy sounds and drum loops is cool Thanks Awesome
There are reviews about how this app is a nice sequencer But thats the problem its just a sequencer I downloaded this with the pretense that it had the ability to create MIDI sound filesand hopefully even save or share them It is NOT a MIDI tool just an in depth sequencer Dont get me wrong its an impressive app just not what it sounded like it should be Somewhat misleading app name
Great retro sequencer for midi over wifi Makes me wish I had the actual hardware Fun Favorite midi controller
Great simple analog style sequencer and with Core MIDI a truly useful and free tool to have around the studio Anyone who would give this less than 4 stars is just being a jerk Great work devs Still why not go all the way and make this a true replica of the ARP Sequencer from the 70s The redesign is BEAUTIFUL and yes CORE MIDI
This thing is great Sequencing hardware with irig MIDI is simple and fun Cannot beat the price Easily worth 3 Apple apps rule Perfect
I have the Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer so I got this free app just out of curiosity It works as described Id like to see further development of this idea to make it truly useful in some production work Right now it is a VERY basic MIDI step sequencer but hey its FREE and it works Nice FREE app
This app constantly crashes when trying to select a clock source Why so much crashing
Loving attention to detail and to the essence power and versatility of the original bigname hardware step sequencers like Moog and Arp I had been hunting for the ultimate step sequencer VST plugin but surprisingly I found it in this an iPad app It took me all of 5 minutes to set up and I was controlling my VST synths in Ableton Live with this thing over WiFi I kept the internal sound on just to see what the latency would be over WiFi I honestly couldnt hear any latency at all I would pay 30 for this app and it is FREE This is the Mother of all step sequencers
Midi clock in timing is very bad using its own midi clock is solid and loads of fun Unfortunately I require midi clock in to be solid in its current state this is unusable I have tried an akai mpc 60 as well as a future retro revolution as midi clock master and this app was not at all able to accurately synchronize with either of them a shame as this was easy fun to send midi sequences to my Roland Juno 60 but I can not use it much if it cannot slave solidly to midi clockmaybe they will fix the issue in the future EDIT lol duh a reboot of the ipod touch totally resolved this issue i have retested first with a korg electribes er1 as midi master then the fr then the mpc all if them kept timing rock solid so far after a very short initial synchronizing thank you this app is rocking away for me now just need more ipod touches or maybe an ipad Midi clock in issues
Works Great on the animoog Love it
Ive tried almost every sequencer app out spending a lot of money and the only one that does everything I want it to is this free one EXCEPT for the fact that the note input screen is just idiotic nonsense Just redesign it to make a keyboard layout of some sort and this app would be perfect As it is this stupid slider layout is useless and the app is nothing but a toy for the type of person who just wants to make noise and not actually control the notes played I will rewrite my review when this is fixed Could be the best sequencer app but instead its useless Want to give it five stars but
Its cool indie apps like this that make the app store worthwhile Nice vintage style sequencer
I usually dont write reviews for anything but I love ts one so much that I had to share From the moment I got my iPad I wanted to get the Midi Mobilizer so I could run this app I have been able to integrate this very easily into my studio setup I have run a Doepfer MS404 and a Dave Smith Mopho off of this sequencer and it runs really well It is a great substitute for a hardware sequencer because it has all the features you would expect from a hardware piece including note length step skip running backward or forward etc I like the fact it has two channels with either independent or linked sequences but also the fact it has four subsequences per channel That is a nice feature especially when I want to have some nice techno jam sessions With the Resync button I am able to either sync it with my MFB drum machine or Ableton It has a good range and intuitive layout so its dead simple Overall I just flat out enjoy using this The only issue I have with it is the inability to sync to external midi clock but hopefully that can come with later updates Either way it is a nice piece and I would have definitely paid for it The fact its free makes it that much nicer With the analog style of this I can feel good about running my analog synths off it I also enjoy using the other app this company makes Funkbox That one is just fun I look forward to using this more and making some cool tracks with it I strongly recommend this to anyone that has an iPad and analog synths Good choice Love it
Made me hold on to my iPad before it got core midi I would of flung it in the red sea if it wasnt for apps like this Trendsetter
Dont let its appearance fool you this sequencer is powerful and routable I have one on my iPhone and one on an iPad each sending 2 midi channels of note midi controlling 4 independently tracked sw synths in Ableton wirelessly If your WIFI is weak make a comp to iPadphone network All controlled through Abletons midi clock out over network I LOVE IT Simple intuitive and very powerful and adaptable I never rate apps but this one is special Thank you Great work AWESOME
Im really looking for something I can touch in a step sequencer to drive my vsts Like say ultra beat Someone please make a piano roll editor for any DAW over wifi Please add wifi support
Simple fun and immediate Great app
As said it gets better or more useful every time So next version needs 4 parts internal app to app midi and maybe a xox page too Great app gets better every time
I thought this was going to be like the matrix sequencer in reason with audio buss or inter app included but it isnt still waiting peace christo Inter app would make this much more apealing
