Introducing LocalEats for iPad, featuring thousands of restaurants in cities across the U.S., plus 50 international cities, including London, Paris, Rome and Hong Kong. LocalEats for iPhone was the no. 1 paid dining app in iTunes ...
This is a very enjoyable app to have and for the past 30 minutes I have been revisiting cities and the restaurants I have enjoyed over the years You wont be disappointed by the panoramas either Please consider Bath England to be included in the list Thanks                 VERY Spectacular
In NYC Tried Yelp and Zagat and Around Me Kept getting errors on Yelp and Zagat Around Me just wasnt enough detail This has ratings 100 best restaurants in NYC good directions and links to menus Easy to use Had lunch at Nobu 57 Amazing Im using Local Eats for every meal on this trip              Alaskan in NYC loves this app
LocalEats was one of the first apps I downloaded all those years ago when the iPhone 3G came out It has always been my favorite restaurant app because of the quality and accuracy of information It really is the best way to find exactly what I want to eat I love the new iPad version Its beautiful and very snappy I highly recommend it                 The best way to find a great restaurant on the iPad
When I heard version 30 was available I got all excited Unfortunately its a huge letdown LocalEats just doesnt feel like a smooth elegant iPad app When you scroll up and down and it reaches the end theres that jarring stop without the bounce that the iPad is famous for although the bounce is there in the popup menu and filters Why on earth would you disable that The maps are still in a tiny little window that if you brush by mistake scrolls Tapping on the map does not bring up a bigger map Why If I choose driving directions I have to chooseevery timewhether I want Google or Apple maps HOW ANNOYING CAN YOU BE Sharing on Facebook and Twitter doesnt use the cool new dialogs for choosing a sharing service and posting a tweet Why not It feels like Im using Safari on your web site rather than using a fun easy app Choosing to go to a restaurant web site shows the web site in a windowwhat Why wouldnt you display it full screen That makes no sense I do like your Filtersthats very handy although it should prevent you from closing the popup if youve chosen filters but havent applied them Also if I choose ServesLunch Lunch shows up next to Features And choosing Price or Categories has a list with arrows that dont go anywhere but do disappear if you select and then deselect them Very odd That being said I do love your list of locally owned restaurants This is much much better than other apps that mostly list chains This app is the first place I go when my boyfriend and I are thinking about going to a new restaurant Its just unfortunate that its such a crappy experience     Great info crappy app
coming up with 1or 2 restaurants in huge suburbs of Chicago is not enough And when I searched in another suburb I found a restaurant that does belong to a chain I do think the restaurant is great though              I like it but
Great for when your sitting around the hotel looking for some local cuisine to hit the spot                 Great Resource for Find that Local spot
This app doesnt even include Anchorage Alaska pretty lame so it gets a 1star     Cities
This app only showed 3 restaurants in my city of Richmond VA pop 12 million The interface is also a bit clunky This app has potential but isnt recommended in its current state        Only 3 restaurants in my city
This app seemed promising in the app store but it crashes on opening every time Do not load until this problem is fixed Useless     Crashes on Opening
Since last update nothing seems to work very well Hard to navigate without crashing     What happened
I live in the 2nd biggest city in Illinois and there are so many great local restaurants missing in this app that are picked up by other apps Im talking about restaurants where you know the owners they live down the street local restaurants I agree with another reviewer that this app does a good job of reporting the popular restaurants but that is not necessarily a good thing           Very nice app Limited results
This is the best app for finding great local nonchain restaurants From my experience with apps if you are having problems with an app try deleting and reinstalling Also make sure your GPS is on under settings and privacy                 Best restaurant finder
The app lists the obvious spots or none at all While it claims to work internationally it has no Indian Thai or Indonesian restaurants for Amsterdam where you cant walk a block without finding several It says theres no internet connection when were connected and won t display info for the few choices it offers In the US it will steer you to places youd find anyway Dont bother with this app     Trite offerings if any
I have to say this app especially the new version is VERY slick New restaurant detail screens look well laid out and all the features are much easier to find and access The addition of menus and deals is pretty awesome and I love the send to phone feature I was sitting on the couch browsing through restaurants before going out for dinner and it was really nice to be able to send the restaurants info to my phone when we got ready to leave Overall best dinning app on the iPad for sure Keep up the good work LocalEats                 Very slick app
Ditch Urban Spoon and Yelp and download Local Eats For those who travel and like to visit the local establishments this is the app for you                 Best app for local restaurants
I love this app It is true to its wordit features LOCAL restaurants No fast food joints or chains The restaurant info is updated frequently and the customer service is fantasticits a small independent company not a big corporation that produces this app I found this out when I contacted them with a question and a friendly person promptly replied Fitting since they are promoting the local eating movement LOVE IT                 best restaurant app period
I live in dubai and i think it is deserve to be considered as international city Thank u for amazing app              My city not available
Great app for finding local dining gems It really looks beautiful too Cant believe its freebut glad it is                 Best dining app
Has yet to let me down in all my travels and kickass pictures as well                 Eat local
Simply put if you eat you need this app                 Still the best
Beautiful graphics and quick and easy searches make this app a joy to use And its free                 simply the best
I cant even use it for 2 mins before it crashes     Crashes too much
I am a dining expert because I always have this app at hand to tell me the best LOCAL places to eat Never disappoints                 Only app you ever need
Like any computer these devices need to be reset occasionally by shutting down and restarting the iPad not just the App Hold down your Home button and OnOff button simultaneously until the silver apple appears on the screen then release Apple logo will dissapear in about 15 seconds giving you a refreshed OS This LocalEats App is by far the most useful and visually appealing restaurant App in the store                 If You Crash You Probably Need To REBOOT iPad
I look forward to trying new places in Nashville                 Wonderful app
This app may not have every single small town but for all of the cities they include I was just in NOLA Cleveland and LA this app is simply the best Its the only one that I feel like you can actually trust to let you know where you really should be eating Love it And the new international cities are key                 best app for dining when you travel
This is the most amazing thing Ive ever seen                 This is the most amazing thing Ive ever seen
It says there are no restaurants in Phoenix What A Useless App     No restaurants in Phoenix
I have the LocalEats app for my iPhone and I love it so I was really excited to see it came out for the iPad but holy crap you cant even use it Every 2 minutes it crashes and closes out Please please PLEASE fix this     LOVE the iPhone app iPad app crashes all the time
I always use this app It has never let me down Love it                 Great App
This app does a good job of informing you about the popular places to eat As any American should know by now popular restaurants have little to nothing to do with good restaurants My area indicated some of the worst grease pits in town are exclusive members of the Top 100 club The rest of the list was devoted to restaurants that cater to tourists or advertise a lot Another group to avoid        Popular does not mean good
