I bought the system and had trouble installing it from the start called tech support they never answered called back 4 times no different waited on hold for 1 1 2 hours then finally hung up During all of his time I chatted for assistance but they responded 3 days after my chat I chatted my response to what they wanted me to do which was unplug and plug back in and make sure some modem settings were correct I did as they asked replied that I had and the problem was still the same I got a chat back asking another question 5 days after I answered I will be filling a complaint with Amazon and the State of AZ for fraud and false advertisement     Worse Company Ever 1SG Smith

While the system has worked well to extend my WiFi support appears to be nonexistent I ve put in 2 support tickets in the past week about a new forget device bug in the app No response         Non responsive support Solzia

Tech support has improved dramatically and all three units stay connected I would still need a 4th to cover my small house but I would recommend if the price comes down                 Update Can't stay connected

I pre ordered Luma before it was available and what a terrible mistake I made My 10 year old Apple AirPort Extreme covers all three stories of my house better and faster than three Luma routers The router features are extremely minimal and missing some of the most basic options that one would expect from the router The biggest problem is speed I absolutely cannot get more than 50mbps when connected to Luma even though I have a gigabit fiber connection I get the full gigabit when plugged in directly to the modem via Ethernet but just 5 of that when connected to Luma Don t waste your time or your money     Worthless Zac Parker

I ve been a Luma customer since the original crowd sourcing the product the App the Guardian service are all horribly unreliable Although I ve not experienced rudeness with their customer service every non phone based service I had or attempted to have e mail chat has been non successful     Frustratingly Horrible scott_mac_1

I ve been a Luma customer since the company s inception I upgraded to the optional paid guardian service for the router level VPN Their VPN service freezes my connection either advising my subscription has expired or displays a screen advising there is a problem and to contact Luma I contacted Luma support 4 different times asking for help over 3 weeks Each time I was promised someone would look into it and get back with me and each time I never heard back Their supervising agent was rude and still offered no help I waited to write this review as I was promised the director would contact me When he failed to do so I wanted to warn others that it appears this company is overwhelmed and not ready for prime time I would definitely not recommend their guardian service instead purchase a higher quality VPN for cheaper on your own     Don t Bother JakeFtl

I moved into a 2 story home My do it yourself web wasn t working Family complaining Initial set up was easy and finally had coverage thru the house But the next day I lost coverage to my office Just about the time I got an email from Luma asking to help with any problem They worked on the system over the internet now I have full coverage They have great support you just have to ask                     I like it diprivanman

Switched to Eero and don t regret it The Luma system is very unreliable I have been in contact with tech help a lot The issue eventually gets resolved after a few weeks way too long to be without wifi but then it fails again I d give anything to get my money back but the service and help was so bad that they refused to give me my money back Do not use Luma     I gave up bindigok

Needs refinement 1 Clearing alerts on devices is cumbersome Need a clear all button 2 Need to be able to change device location on map Not critical but when moving devices it makes sense to move on map 3 Still need ability to choose IP range for wireless The automatic selection is bot a desirable range on my network and I m sure others have this desire too             App is easy to use however PhantemMonkey

Have the devices attached to my network and the system goes offline at least once a week It s very easy for me to tell that it s the Luma system as anything attached to its wifi goes offline I have two cameras each attached to different wifi 1 luma 1 the wifi provide by my home router When it goes offline I get a notice after 10 minutes from the luma attached camera but not the camera attached to home router Outages last anywhere from 5 minutes to hours Starting to give up         Still goes offline seer14

Very well written app that is easy to use and setup the Luma surround wifi Has great features and is getting much better Three stars though for lack of a dismiss all button for the security alerts Having to tap each one away one by one is so 2012 Please add a dismiss all button or toggle             Easy and simple needs a dismiss all alerts button marcusj3000

Wish removing alerts was easier than one at a time I have 567 of them and at 1 second each that is 9 minutes to remove them only to see green all clear for about 1 2 day Wish you could acknowledge them or group them together so they don t show up as an alert Otherwise good app                 Please fix security alerts Weilerda

Ok it took me a while to have time to focus on setting these up to limit the downtime in my home network but I finally got them installed and couldn t be more satisfied The installation of the app was super simple Transitioning my many connected home devices was my main concern specifically my smart home devices where I previously had them under DHCP reservations on my previous router My goal was also NOT to have to reconfigure all of my existing connected devices My very smooth process was as follows 1 Installed the initial luma as a hub directly from the modem I had multiple ports from my modem and my previous router was on another of these ports 2 I connected my second luma node in the zone recommended but also that would address the majority of my smart home devices 3 I already gave the luma a temp name but the SAME ssid password as my current router 4 I logged onto some of my existing devices that I knew was on a static IP and changed them to DHCP this was something that I failed to do after initially switching to DHCP reservation 5 Here s where I tried to limit my downtown I logged onto my current router and renamed the ssid to something temporary and in the luma app I renamed that ssid to my previous routers ssid Within mere minutes my luma app was being flooded with device has connected to your network notifications success I then went through the process of granting the devices renaming them creating profiles and assigning devices to them I then proceeded to my other location where mostly my laptops etc connect and installed my final luma node there Another seamless installation My only couple con comments are 1 It doesn t appear to have the ability to set the range of ips for the luma network 2 The luma updates while seamless and automatic seemed to happen almost at the same time thus the mesh network weakened during this portion and the app just said they were offline vs something more clear like rebooting or installing updates This led me a few times during his process to reset them causing the down time to be prolonged Which inevitably required me to power cycle some of my smart home devices In the end I d highly recommend this product if you want seamless easy mesh network in your house It creates a single same ssid within an easy to manage and control app                     Super easy and seamless installation and superb uptime BusyTechDad

Most of the app is pretty good The security features are downright awful I get hundreds of alerts for an address which is not a security concern I ve brought this to the company s attention and I ve received platitudes but no action There is now way to clear these useless alerts except by going into each one swiping tapping Delete Not a big deal for a couple of spurious alerts but a GIGANTIC pain when you receive hundreds per day I ve turned the security off until they can do some basic grouping of alerts or otherwise make it easier to clear out the trash         Mostly good security awful Skippy the Wonder Poodle

Purchased a set of these 3 to cover my house completely with same speed as the modem I get 200mgbs down and 25up through my modem directly connected These couldn t pull 20mgbs down less than 20 feet away I spent countless hours with tech support trouble shooting but they know that this product can t do what it says The Luna s would cut out as well showing a network but 0 internet would come through Restart your system sir they said Well after the 15th time in one day I had enough DO NOT ORDER THIS return them ASAP and get a proper router I did saved money and it s amazing having working wifi in my home again TLDR it s a scam the company silences the truth about their product as well They delete and fill the comments with fake 5 stars Do the research     Lies Bugs MoreLies Who's that Girl?!..

You choose the word Any and all fit Paid or company written reviews taunting early adopters pi me off No company has advertised so many features and shipped a product without them since Bill Gates Microsoft overpromised features of Windows 3 Win95 A year And they still haven t delivered stuff they showed in their ads as fact If I read more BS puff reviews taunting folks who suffered through the waiting list and didn t cancel because they kept reassuring us they didn t want to ship it until it was ready I might see if there s interest in a class action lawsuit     Vaporware Fraud Crapware Off Target!

We live in a old home and have had wifi problems since day 1 Updated routers Repeaters bridge none work Had to use a power line adapter to hardwire my PS4 LUMA is a HUGE improvement We now get pretty reliable and mostly fast signal throughout all three floors The issues I ve had so far were it took almost 48 hours for the nodes to update themselves to the latest firmware so before that opened they were blinking on and offline constantly Since they ve self updated we have experienced a handful of slowdowns or disconnects where we had to reboot I will say rebooting from the app is way more convenient then going up two flights to restart a router but still some hiccups I want to love this product hopefully they can work the kinks out We ve had luma now for over a month and the signal drops especially while streaming over and over and over again It takes me 2 hours to watch a 45 min episode So frustrating         Want to love it still need work updated Eric Ornstein
