Machinist Mate

Has too many areas you have to remember answers to figure out more answers Why is z an abbreviation to number of flutes My dad has a different app that doesnt have as many calculations but for speed and feed his blows this one away I tried to figure out simple speed and feed for programming a new cutter in my cnc 1 Figure out sfm no ballpark charts so i had to google it and write it down 2 Figure out rpm first you have to copy the result from sfm then reenter it 3 Figure out feed write down the first numbers and Forget it I bought a different app Heres my suggestion for improvement 1 Drop down for cutting material choice 2 Drop down for cutter material type 3 Cutter dia 4 of flutes 5 Give me a speed and feed     Too hard to use

Nice and easy to use it will be used a lot I smirk at the comments over no metric tap drill chart why M 10 X 1 1019 thats your tap drill M12 x 15 Is a 105 dia drill Works for me              I like it

Ive been a machinist for over 22 years This app reminds me of the old pc program MrMachinist This new app works well and great info at your fingertips I like the trig functions Helps me alot with angles I think its well worth the price There is always a need for your machinist handbook but for quick references this is a great app              Great app

Take drill size for metric taps for starters        Could be better

App works well for what it is The Configure option has a bug however You can rearrange the function icons as you like but they revert to the default positions the next time you launch the app           Nice Utiliy App

I bought this app and the icon shows on the computer but wont sync to IPod and wont work I show I purchased it and Apple charged me for it I reported it to Apple and they said to contact the provider of the app and sent a link That does not work either I know its only a couple bucks but it is the principle of it If I owed them 199 you can sure bet that they would want it So either give my 199 plus tax back or make the app work Thanks Did get it to work by downloading straight to my Ipod for some reason maybe after updating my computer or Ipod with the latest version of software items will not sync from the computer to the device I was contacted by the seller with an offer to help so that was good Thanks              It wont work Got it fixed

I wish it offered tap drill sizes for form taps Maybe cost per part calculations The sketch pad is lame Would get 3 or 4 stars if it was free but not worth 199        Its OK

Great app I have bought others but this is the best Has all formulas needed on one page viewing including cubic inches per minute so no need to write down answers and go to different pages Just a suggestion for updatecould use chip thinning calculators for max chip thickness and average chip thickness for ball endmills and round inserts per depth of cut              Mb313
