Mad Math Lite presents flashcards for learning basic math skills addition subtraction multiplication and division Multiple users can be added and parents or teachers can sign up for email parent reports Data is tracked under Stats a nice feature for teachers and or parents Before beginning a game the user can choose from 5 different categories such as problem type or number of flashcards During the actual game students can either write directly on the flashcard or use the calcululator to input their answers This is a nice app for cementing those needed basic skills and being able to track progress is a very nice feature The only issue I found was that the calculator buttons all work except for the button to activate the process of plus minus etc This was confusing for me and will also confuse the students It would have been better to show that it is a disabled button or leave it off However in spite of this Mad Math lite is a nice app for practicing those much need core math skills Mad Math Lite Anniesinger
Pretty decent Very slow though It still counts when it s transferring to the the next flashcard But ok for reviewing Decent Awesome fruity goodness

Used this app with 7th graders They liked it but many were reporting that the app would crash Also it would be nice if there was a way to go back to the screen that lists how many were missed and the actual problems Once they left that screen there was no way to go back to it Good app but crashes AnnDi73
This is one of the best apps I have used Love how you can customize this for each person that uses it You can also save multiple student s scores You can figure out the problem using your fingers to write or draw the answers and then use the calculator to enter the answer My students love it The best part is that it is free Amazing App Summer tutor
Ok it s free thus the 2 stars But I am not likely to purchase a full version when the app crashes each time I play it especially mid game the stats get skewed Testing was performed on a iPod touch 4g latest OS at the time of this writing App suddenly quits mid game SlowlyGoingApple
This is wonderful for my 7 yr old and 9 yr old In response to the review that says you cannot test drive this app well that is wrong If you click on the side that says flashcards it takes you into the game where you can indeed test drive the app It s quite fun actually Please give it a try God bless Very fun Celenachar
We have fun passing the iPad in class The kids love to see if they can beat their time Thanks for this wonderful classroom app Fantastic Jaij7
This is the LITE version It does absolutely nothing It has ONE screen math problem which is 4 3 and ONE answer to choose from 7 Directly under the 7 it says buy full version That s it No evaluation possible will not purchase the full app without being able to test drive the features Does NOTHING i.Love.Richard.Ross
The app has many settings I m in 6th grade it is great Great Faithful christian
I use this app to tutor students of many ages Everyone can practice their facts I like the variety of settings and that kids can calculate online The option of negative numbers is great for middle school and older I recommend this app highly Mad math MtnMom
Seriously Adding and doing multiplication from the highest place first is not wrong it s a speed math technique which makes larger numbers easier to deal with After reading this review from a 4th grade teacher I decided to download the app This math technique is a new age teaching style and works much better for most kids than the antiquated right to left form I have not had a chance to look at the app yet but just wanted to clarify that how they teach math IS NOT WRONG It would probably help your kids to learn this way and the traditional because both ways have their advantages I am also a teacher and have 3 degrees CS Math and Business Please do not spread misinformation about education If you are still confused as to why it is advantageous to do basic math from the left to right there are many educational sites that can explain this concept to you Important Read first Edu571
As a teacher I would not let my own children play this Adding and subtracting is taught in school by starting with the ones place and then tens and so forth This game requires them to solve the problem starting with the highest place first teaching very bad habits for math computation 4th grade teacher Mom/teacher 2
