Found the perfect app to help me track rebates Is there a way to put subcategories with the store names where you purchased the rebate items from              Great

The application has a very clean interface with easy to navigate list of rebates and details screen It shows total pending and received rebate amount on the title bar One of the best features of the app is attaching pictures that you can take with the device camera to a rebate This way you never the paperwork and can be sent to the rebate company if required There is also a very simple way to email the rebate details and pictures                 Very useful

This is a good idea for an app that fulfills a distinct need All of the basics are there and are adequate but the details need a lot of fine tuning to smooth out workflow As of version 10 the main showstopping issue that prevents this from intensive use is the low resolution of the captured images They are just too lowhighly compressed to read the fine text on the rebate forms The producers of this app need to realize that basic rebate users that do 12 rebates a year arent going to buy or use this app It is only hardcore rebate users with multiple rebates per month that are going to want something like this So this app needs to be optimized for those users Here are some specific basic things that need to be fixed 1 Date choosers should be little calendar pickers rather than the spinning picker wheels 2 Tracking number field should default the keyboard to number view 3 Tracking contact should pre format the input to a phone number and default the keyboard to number view 4 Check received should look more like a checkbox or button 5 Image capture of forms is very inadequate 5a VERY IMPORANT Images should retain aspect ratio from the camera and not be squeezed into square aspect ratio format 5b MOST IMPORTANT Images should be higher resolution Small text is not readable on the image even when forwarded via email for viewing on a computer 5c Viewing images on the iPad should display it fullscreen or close to it and should support pinchandzoom to view details or small text requires fixing 5a and 5b first 5d When in image view mode you should be able to swipe to view the next or previous image 5e Use image processing to detect the paper edge and automatically crop straighten brighten for readability 5f Have premade slots for the most common images Form UPC and Receipt Then add additional for anything else 6 Autofill for tracking URLs and contact numbers Many rebates go to the same places so make it easier to input duplicate information quickly 7 Add category field or tagging 8 Add follow up date with notification to remind you to check on the status of the rebate This should be a minicalendar date picker defaulted to mailing date with additional buttons to advance the selection by week 4 weeks etc 9 Filling out an the rebate details should go through each field in a smooth workflow Not like current Tap Title type title Return Tap Amount enter amount Return Tap Purchase date scroll wheels to date tap done etc Each field should flow from one to the next one 10 Hiding the Batch functions Mark Received Mark Pending and Email under the Edit button is not obvious Took for a while to find Email under there All these options should be on the Details view of each individual rebate as well 11 Embedded web browser to submit forms with direct capture of the resulting PDFs or download PDF and let them fill it in internally and capture that PDF Ideally with content scanning to pick up as much of the rebate info as possible for automatic filling of the info into the rebate tracking form Let users verifyedit info           Good idea needs work on the details
