Map Draw - Route tracking and Annotation

I have about 200 apps and have never felt compelled to write a negative review until now For starters the app is awkward and not user friendly The drawing tools become available only after you are ready to export the map While working on the map you only get point a to point b straight lines Since im not a bird my routes take a different path The drawing tools are limited Oh goody a dotted line instead of steady Im much better off simply taking a screen shot of a map and using drawing tools from another app to create notes and paths with little icons to indicate banks my house lights And it crashes a lot     Awful app

I was really excited when i saw this app i have been waiting for an app like this for a long time after downloading it i realized it has a few limitations that i would have hoped wouldnt be there that have been mentioned in other review however unlike the people who just post a bad review because they dont fully understand the application i can see that this app has a lot of potential and with regular updates could be exactly what im looking for              A great idea with a good start

App looks good and is fun to use I think its great and provides a very useful service for its cost If you are expecting it to blow Google Maps out of the water then you might be disappointed Like others have said keep in mind that it is a new release But I think that if developed over time this app could be huge                 Works well not bad at all

I purchased this app after reading a review I knew it was a first attempt There has to be a way for the lines to stick to the roads Would like to scroll over a road with my finger and have it highlighted The draw layer needs more work This app should be free until upgraded        Needs work

Having struggled with this app I rated it deservingly low compared to the competition Thereafter I couldnt help but notice the glowing 45 star ratings pop up Then the app went on sale just one week after its release Two telling issues here 1 the 45 star ratings are clearly ghost written and bogus and 2 it went on sale so the developers can make some fast cash before the word gets out I stand by initial review Not intuitive in the least Very clumsy interface Map drawings CAN NOT be saved as claimed Maps CAN NOT be edited as claimed Over priced The app offers nothing that cant be had for free by other developers Had the developers spent as much time developing this app as they did falsely representing it it would undoubtly work better Additionally I will be happy to rerate this app once the developers stop the smoke and mirrors shenanigans     DO NOT BUY

Simple nononsense app I like the different map layouts Makes it super easy to draw my routes Easy to use on my iPad Does exactly what I wanted                 Simple

When upgrading from the free version to the elite version all of the maps are lost and you have to start over not very friendly And you should be able to store a map in a format that can be shared with other MapDraw users Once those things are fixed there is a 5 rating waiting        Great mapping app but

Super for charting out walks in your neighborhood or in new places you would like to visit Gives a very accurate measure of distance Fun to explore possibilities                 I use this app a lot

The free program is great but limits the number of maps that can be saved When i stepped up and bought this program I was disappointed to learn that the developer has not devised a way to import maps created from the free program I see this as a major oversight and feel I must reduce my rating for this program        does not import

I use this app to illustrate the locations of where all my existing clients are Showing a potential client the animated pins dropping into the map just helps me make the sale I give it 5 stars because it does its function better than any other app I would like to see some bug fixes app crashes occasionally and more flexibility in editing pins dropped like pin size pins in a small area cover each other up and the default view of the mapwhen first entering I have to zoom out to show all my pins I hope they keep adding icons for pins in future updates                 Cool App has other uses

Has great potential but does not tell you anywhere how to bring up the drawing toolbar Still a cool app but need full directions              Help function lacking

This app has so much potential dont listen to those people who dont think it can write freehand I can write anything on it You just have to be smarter than the app to figure it out wasnt that hard lol Theres so much you can do with it Well worth what I paid                 Fantastic

Been waiting for an app where I can discover and plan hiking and driving routes and with the satellite photo view this is the only app where I can do this I can also note features along the route to explore The routing technique is very easy and the ability to use the maps offline and export makes it complete Thanks for making a great app              This is it

Ive been able to do several routes but have recently run into a problem on longer routes After routing about 100 miles the app crashes and all my work is lost This is very annoying since much time is already invested in the route Please fix this crash problem Other than that I really like this app              Almost perfect

I very much like this app and use it to map my runs Navigation within the app and interface is easy to understand and use Only suggestion I have to date is it would be nice to be able to save a current map as a new map and then to be able to alter the routing by moving any particular point within the current route I extend my runs by adding sections within know routes and rather than having to redo a whole new route I would just like to save and edit an existing route              Solid

Using version 11 on iPad with current iOS Its a good idea but needs more work Worst thing Whenever I tap the undo button the app crashes Even if I havent done anything Havent found anyway to make the Drawing Toolbar appear When I quit it wants to draw a line back to the point where I started And I find it very annoying that it starts with a map of the whole world which makes me have to dig dig dig to get down to my own town The circled X for quit and return to route does not appear for me I think this will be an excellent app several versions from now Right now I like it but find it not very usable Note The link for your website at the bottom of the More page is broken It takes one to a Page Not Found message           Great App but Needs Work

I love this app and have already spent hours on it making routes and playing around with it That would be awesome if they could add a topo map option and also the altitude changes in a route in a future update But still great app                 Nice Update

This app is great for the outdoorsman I use it for fishing and charting routes on the river One thing I would like this app to do is the option to add different routes and color routes on the same map All in all great app                 Great App

This is a great app that I am using to mark and trace my routes but needs some minor improvements Not able to start new routesmiles in one map You have to start a new map in order to keep track of the miles otherwise it will show all like one trip Another problem I found is that when you save your map and you want to increase the size to view the details of the route it will distorted the image              Great app but

I enjoy all this map app has to offer Its great for mapping out distances anywhere from little trips to huge distances across the oceans I did have somewhat of a hard time figuring out how to draw freehand on it but it wasnt that bad I still could figure it out pretty well Its a fun app to use that has great potential Well worth what I paid for it                 Great Potential

Sorry to report that its still crashing at launch on my iPad 2 running iOS 65 after applying the latest update Tried uninstalling and reinstalling without improvement Is a fantastic app perfect for tracking how long my offroad hikes or runs are I look forward to being able to use it again once the crashing issues get sorted out                 Perfect when it doesnt crash

I purchased Map Draw Elite for my new IPad Air Given the name I was expecting a quality product What a disappointment If planning a long trip the necessity of constant maptapping is extremely time consuming The little arrow provided for naming established routes just simply does not work When I visited the Insomniac website and clicked on contact us a popup directed me to visit Facebook Is this really a professional business     Problematic

Upon updating to version 11 the app no longer tallies up mileage both for the last leg drawn and the total route since this is the whole point of the app its rendered basically useless Nice idea not ready for prime time        Poor update

I use Map Draw to layout runningwalking courses Map Draw has just the tools I need a measured path waypoints and a way to email the proposed path to race directors volunteers participants and various elements of government Of course there are always little enhancements that would make my life easier It would be nice to be able to adjust the path with out redrawing it from the beginning I have only figured out how to adjust the end of the path that was drawn last It would be nice to be able to copy a route especially if I could edit the path A very nice app as it stands Thanks Bruce Leasure USATF Course Measurer              Almost perfect for estimating road courses

Its a good app for pin editing placement Its very touchy inserts routes that I cant get rid of them wo clearing the entire map More frustrations than benefits Im deleting but its a really good concept will come back if its more user friendly           Not impressed

Ive been looking for a mapping app where i can just draw over the map to highlight my route as if i would on a paper map This app comes close you place points and the app draws a straight line between those points but you really cant freehand draw until you first export it as an image I love that it totals your distance The best feature is ability to draw offroad and still get distance totals Currently you can only export a map image or picture I would really like to have the option to also export a gpx file so other people can add map to there gps devices I will give a five star rating when you add that option in future update           love the idea

This could have been a nice little app for the iPad Unfortunately it is a waste of 299 Why not just get on their website and muddle through trying to create a trip Better to take your laptop with you and use MS Streets and Trips     What a pity

This is not an app This was created to take your money give you nothing Most of the time a map will not show up When it does you can not make a route You plot your points the app draws a straight line to connect the point not down roads Ive tried all different ways Changed the mode of transportation nothing works They should refund everyones money The App Store should check apps better to make sure they work     This app is terrible
