I like this program because I need an equation editor for iOS pages and keynote This program is the only program I know of that lets you create equations without being a LaTex master However I wish they would get rid of the iAds in the paid version like they advertised they would Also a iPad friendly landscape mode would be nice Best and only iOS equation editor
liers upgraded for 5 and still getting iAds equstion writer
I cant export math text it just turns to code I bought it think it would fix it and it didnt I want my money back or fix this app Also it has bug where my equation text disappears and I have to restart the program Cant export text
New update doesnt work Crash all the time Crash
It makes the equations the way that you want them to look but only for the first day After that all of the equations you create remain in the editing form and theyre sort of difficult to read which doesnt meet the purpose of using the app very well Okay but defective

This app works just fine for my purposes which is to type equations during lecture for notes later transcribed into Word via MathType My only request would be to allow it to work in landscape mode Works just fine for me
The app itself is fairly easy to use The code display is confusing at first but I quickly got used to it Many symbols and notation are included but a glaring omission is limit notation I havent found any way to include limits in my equations This should definitely be added in the next version Although the app is free equations are watermarked unless you pay for a 5 upgrade which I did Mediocre at Best
As others have mentioned the new updated version wont start Newest update crashes
This app is currently the best I know of for typesetting equations on ios but it is a far cry from what is possible We need an app designed from the ground up for a touch interface that requires no latex commands or knowledge Okay but not great

Bug fix for crashing on startup works However new bug exists on startup you are asked if you want to view a latex manual if you say yes then a manual is shown shifted to the left and up there does not appear to be any way to exit from this point and the manual is not readable since it is displaced not crashing but stuck on latex manual
I thought MathBot was abandonware since it had been so long since an update so I was very pleased to see this up Some nice improvements including autocomplete iPad export to other apps and part of a LaTeX manual as help pages Id still like to see folders and manual sort for the equations though NOTE This is the lite version of an offline LaTeX compiler If you dont know what LaTeX is please find out before complaining about this app This version has watermarks and ads But its still a very useful and welldesigned app Glad to see the dev fixed the crash bug so quickly
Can produce the equation as expected But when tried to export as jpg the frame sometime cut into the equations border make the app in toy status Not worth 5 in app purchase Does the job but export to broken
Naming equations doesnt work at least on iOS7 All my equations are called EquationN where N is an integer I cannot give them better names Would be nice to share same equations across devices Nice app but needs
This app fills a niche for me Whereas I use Tex Writer for more full fledged work I often find the need for an equation here or there For example I use Inkpad to make drawings to insert into Texwriter To put math or other symbols onto my Inkpad drawing I find Mathbot very useful I think this is an app with lots of potential and I hope the developer will continue to work on it Pretty Good App
It crashes on ipod4 A shame cause I really wanted this app Crash
Some reviews said the app crashes but it seems to work great The upgrade is a bit expensive but it works great
I have played with it a bit it seems pretty good with some great template equations App Looks Great

like to have tex on iPhone 1 cannot type the equation name on iPhone 5 2 switch between edit mode n figure mode r annoyed by the popup selectselect all 3difficult to move cursor in the equation edit mode Improvement is needed
but still lots of missing things a make it work in landscape mode b make it clear whether ait works without internet connection c does it support all LaTeX equation features please state so d please produce an update with some of these answered esp a and Id be happy to buy Thanks a promising start
This app is really good to write clean looking equations on the go It would be nice to be able to reorder equations as well as avoiding crashes when the equation gets too long The latter is the most frustrating part and the app will be excellent when that is resolved please Does as advertised but crashes on too long equations
Ive been creating junior high algebra class handouts on my iPad This app works great On my iPhone I can quickly create the equation I need save it as an image to my photo stream and then add the equation image to the document Im creating on my iPad Quick and easy The user interface is a bit hard to follow at first this is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 Just what I needed
Id rather use my pen to write it Can you make it non latex just make it regular way that microsoft word use it And also can you support iPhone 5 Its released 16 months ago Crashes constantly This app seems works fine on my iPad but not my phone Only iOS EQ writer
