Too many issues using this app and browser extension with Safari Keep getting stymied by links to downloads that Maxel browser extension doesn t hand off to the app properly and increasingly sites which don t allow multi segment downloads to take place at all yet Maxel tries over and over to download the file I ve been in contact with the developer a long while back about the multiple issues with this app I don t know why it even stays featured in the Safari Extensions Gallery since it s plagued by inconsistent performance It s simply not worth the hassle When I need to download a lot of files I switch to Firefox and DownThemAll or such for fast downloading of files on the web Now I m going to uninstall the Safari browser extension and this app and get on with my life There are other apps in this category that work better     if it worked Cajun Bear Mike

As an ardent supporter of the Downlthemall Firefox plugin for a decade I became sick of it s instability and wanted a standalone program that functions well in the Mac ecosystem This program has been a pleasure to use as it s intuitive and simple to use while being feature rich This feels like a fully fleshed out program unlike other clunky standalone programs and browser addons which I ve tested out it s also being actively developed I ve sucessfully been able to download 20 files each in 5 10 parts simultaneously without my system being too taxed and even with connection interruptiongs everything resumes without a hitch and unpacks flawlessly                     Easily the best downloader for Mac Peebot2020

First of all I ll just say that I ve tried every download manager worth trying on Mac Maxel has to be the only one that seems efficiently made and well designed very Mac like The best part is the support I emailed the developer when I was having an issue and not only did help me sort out the problem but when I mentioned a feature that I thought would be a good addition he sent me a beta version that had the feature added He s obviously very ontop of things and seems to be adding features constantly Highly recommend Maxel Update for 2 0 2 I m constantly amazed at Chris s responses he s helped me sort out multiple bugs I ve experienced and Maxel has quickly become my permanent download manager highly recommended I m maxing out my internet speed 16 MB s now on most downloads                     Fantastic download manager great support maxiedaniels
