Middle School Writing - Expressing Basic Ideas

For the price I was expecting much more I thought there would be an outline the kids could fill in but there is nothing I thought they might have a few outlines to choose from depending on their writing exercise but no I also expected it to be more kidfriendly because it is targeted for middle school I wish I could get my money back     Disappointed

This app is obviously for two types of students smart ones and ones that you want to be smart My kid used it naturally within about 5 minutes I can see where the content requires some help for 6th grade in explaining directions but again the point is to bring the kids up to a high level and it surely does that for my girl They say that clearly in the app and it definitely does that The ipad version is fantastic Going to show this to my girls teacher                 Very nice app

New to mobile technology but a veteran of teaching The people who wrote and developed this app must have lots of respect for students because the material is amazingly written to talk to students yet is not dumbdowned in any way I am not sure what the one reviewer expected but this is one of the best explanations of and directions for outlining that I have ever read and I have read many Outlining is very personal Pretty much like all writing which is also very personal The outlining synopsis makes a student think about the meaning of his outline not just following and copying a worksheet BRAVO As a teacher very uplifting to read such engaging material If all schools had this our pupils would start out writing and thinking much better The iPad version is great as the other review says as well with so many writingfriendly features I like this mobile technology Parents and schools if you want your children thinking writing this app is a great place to start It teaches the right lessons                 Do not think it gets much better than this

This application not only has 140 pages of information on all types of essays and writing but also guides students on how to organize their thoughts to produce a high quality essay in an interactive fashion Being able to review advice while writing an essay is a useful adjunct to learning There is even a link to a free application for consultation with someone who is able to help when a student gets stuck It is like having an instructor with your child while they are writing their papers Nevertheless the most important part of this application is its promotion of critical thinking on essay construction It emphasizes understanding how to write and not just copying examples of what has been written This application has the power to instill excellent lasting habits for constructing essays and subsequently set the foundation for more complex essay writing skills beyond the middle school period This application is well worth the price                 Outstanding Learning and Teaching Tool
