The Midnight Planets is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 2.1 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.0.1 has been released on 2014-11-25. As a student of astronomy and physics also working with jpl I never could find a website that would allow me to skim through all the photos curiosity had taken It s almost as if nasa cherry picked the photo s they wanted me to see rather than share the experience of actually being there This app finally takes me there Kind of sad but as new horizons heads for Pluto I wish the photos would update like this app Because I just know they are going to horde every photo until the make a press release of their finest images getting there                     About time an app like this arrives Leeroyhat

This app is beautiful There is so much that this app offers in the way of perspective that a single or panorama picture can t give The 3D environment is such a great help in knowing where the rovers are and the track showing where it s been and where it s going is awesome I was already interested in in watching what the rovers do in other apps but they only give pics and panoramas this app has peaked my interest and I m always anxious to see where we are roving to next Only improvement I can see is if there was a satellite MRO over head view with tracking so I could tap on a particular location and get to a site of interest that way also That way I wouldn t have to go between this app and JPL NASA website to see overhead tracking but definitely not a big deal Also I didn t see a way to save pictures to my camera roll which would be very nice If you love keeping up on the mars rovers this is a must have app Exploration at its greatest Thank you Midnight Martian Important update I ve had this app a while now and the cool factor is off the charts I m still amazed every time I crank this app up Love it Also a recommendation is to buy an iPhone to hdmi cable to your television which makes it even better                     Just what I was hoping for Alpha 5000
