The Military History Quiz: Become a 4 star general with the Osprey Quizmaster

The level thing is quite tricky but in the end I like the fact you have to pass each quiz before you can move on Definitely one for military history fans or you will spend a lot of time learning about it to move on                 It is hard

Very good app It is hard but military history buffs like myself wont mind                 Awesome

The free version is only 2 quizzes of 10 questions but if you are a real history buff you wont mind paying the money for all the quizzes At the end of each quiz your correct and incorrect answers are displayed allowing you to learn The game makes you pass each quiz before you can move on to next which does correspond nicely to the theme of the game of becoming a 4 star general In general no pun intended I like the idea of the game being challenging forcing you to earn your way to the next quiz and next level However if you fail a quiz answering less than 7 out of 10 questions correctly you are allowed to immediately retake the quiz So if you have the short term memory skills of a 4th grader you will pass the quiz upon retake and be able to move on Consequently it really isnt that difficult to advance from quiz to quiz A solution would be if the game aggregated all incorrect questions and then made you answer a certain percentage of them correctly at the very end of a level as opposed to taking the exact same quiz again right after failing it The difference may sound subtle but it would go a long way in making the game more challenging Also dont trust the answers on every single quiz Im sure the quiz answers are overall 99 correct However I have found errors For example question 5 on quiz 5 on the one star level asks you which barbarians wiped out 3 Roman legions in the Battle of Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD The game indicates that the correct answer is The Goths However Edward Gibbon in his famous book The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire notes that the Gothic people were located in time of Caesar Augustus in what today are called the Baltic states which was hundreds of miles away from the farthest extent of the Roman Empire in 9 AD Furthermore it is a well known fact that the great GothicRoman wars didnt begin until the mid 3rd century AD after the Goths had migrated south and west having come in contact with the Roman Empire It is also equally well known that it was the Germanic tribes that defeated the Romans at the Battle of Teutoburg Forest Consult any history book if you dont believe me Anyway the point is that you might find errors from time to time Overall the questions themselves are quite challenging while not being overly obscure at least in what Ive encountered so far This game is really only meant for military history buffs if you have only a casual interest in history you will find the questions too difficult which will lead to frustration and then disinterest in the game Given the volume or relative lack thereof to be more precise of games for military history buffs this game is a welcomed addition              Good app for history buffs

Should be retitled ancient military history Too difficult for a casual app Im a huge military history buff but I dont give a crap about the prussians and the goths and obscure stuff from thousands of years ago Not that that stuff isnt important but I wish there were different categories These are questions that I hate the kind that are on college exams It should have categories including time and place Such as Europe 1940s Vietnam 1960s etc Its a good idea just too difficult for a moron like me        Ancient military history

As a history buff I found this app pretty fun The fact that I had to pay 5 to get all the quizzes was annoying but I found the quizzes themselves to be challenging in a fun way And considering the entire app gives you about 100 quizzes of 10 questions each I personally thought that they were worth what I paid for them I wouldnt however recommend this app to amateur historians because the questions are very specific and very hard sometimes and easy other times but otherwise I really enjoyed it                 challenging

You have to purchase the levels Has potential if it were free I deleted it The first two levels were fun     LAME

Halfway decent app Some of the questions are extremely hard from the get go Even though its supposed to be on easy So I cant imagine what hard or impossible levels are like Some of the questions are multiple choice others you have to type in the answer If your spelling is off even though your answer is correct you get it wrong But if your a military history buff it might be worth it Also only the first two quizs are free after that you have to purchase every level of quizs           Very difficult
