Mobile Link for Generators

Lacking Functionality was tolerable before now its cumbersome at best Installed on my iPad and iPhone prints too small to read on iPad reasonable on iPhone navigation is NOT intuitive spend several minutes flicking every which way trying to figure out how it worked text color blends with background colors VERY difficult to read Heres what Id like out of the App 1 Start screen has the current status eliminate the pretty design graphics and having to flick to see information that is a waste of time 2 Yellow and white text on a white screen Like thats easy to read go with black and white text eliminate the pretty design graphics 3 I want to use the App to check the generator status and see the status in a clean matrix like an Excel spreadsheet 4 Did I mention eliminate the pretty design graphics     Lacking Functionality

I just got the app because our generator was installed today It seems pretty useless Doesnt really give me options or information I can use     Useless

For Generac To make this app less user friendly It does very little for overpriced dues It takes hours for app to catch up with messages     What was the point

The replacement app shows absolutely no content making it completely useless The old version was just fine and functioned appropriately Now being a subscriber of a mobile service that provides no information is head scratcher     Shows No Content

The intent behind the app is great However the reliability is lacking You would think you would get your text or email within minutes of losing power The text messages have been taking 24 hours to get after power has been lost or exercise mode has run Very disappointing Why have the Mobile Link and pay for the service if it doesnt work like it is suppose to        Decent app but needs work

I have had the 36Kw LP Quiet Source unit for 3 years works flawlessly but this app is so basic as to be laughable for a big company like Generac I cant turn the unit on or off remotely tho the old software would let me do it I cant determine the output voltage of the unit kinda basic or battery strength like the old software could indicate The updates or status changes to the system take 2040 minutes to take affect so you get a message that tells you what has happened 2030 minutes ago the unit has run for half an hour and you dont know about it An email comes maybe a day later Calls to Generac HQ in Milwaukie only gets corporate BS on the matter As previous reviews have indicated half of the buttons are in progress of being fixed Unfortunately there is no other option I would pay for an app that would do this        Champagne Goals Beer Budget

Nice clean UI but the exercise scheduler does not retain revised parameters It reverts to the original parameters on log out        Attractive but flawed

Useful app Needs some work Shows history well but current status is often wrong like it remains showing in exercise mode while it actually is in ready to run mode It shows that correctly in the history mode but often not on the main page GUI Thats the only problem Ive run into           Works fairly well one intermittent problem

This application needs updating Most of the features do not work on the application Generac needs to update this application so it works as described and does more that it is capable of The history times are wrong the exercise time drifts and it Does Not show Voltage or Frequency while the generator is running Please fix this application     Mobile Link for Generac

Worthless Dont bother to download Generac generator is great but this app is not worthy to be paired with it     Mobile Link

The old software associated with Mobile Link was much better With the current setup if a loss of power causes the generator to come online you have no way of knowing if its really powering the electrical system All you know is the generator is running There are places to view generator voltage and current but all they say is offline I called Generac close to a year ago to inquire as to when we might expect these parameters would be displayed soon was the answer Apparently they dont have a high priority on fixing this clunker If you have a problem with Mobile Link and like I use this system to monitor a remotely installed generator before they will do any troubleshooting on your behalf they will want to know the status of the 3 connectivity lights on the Mobil Link transmitter unfortunately the whole idea of this system is to be able to remotely monitor if I have to be there to report on the status of the transmitter it sort of defeats the purpose     Mobile Link

Updated the app last week This morning when my generator ran its weekly test I opened the app to see my generator status The status showed Off in both Gen Voltage and Gen Frequency The functionality is very limited anyway so even if the voltage and frequency did display its a waste of space on my home screen and yours     Mobile Link is USELESS

The only write operation the app can do is setting exercise time which is of marginal value The real benefit is being able to check status Remember my info so I dont have to regularly sign in and just have me log in for writes Id give it a 5 if it wasnt for that major annoyance           Remember the Login

Does not work with iOS 8 Was just fine before Just blank screen Needs new update     Not better

ZERO Stars Just installed on my iPhone No information Says I have 1 hour The Internet link is telling me 414 hours Doesnt even mention todays successful exercise cycle Dont bother Wait until they fix it     Doesnt Work

Mobile Link has continued to improve over the years and gets the job done well No complaints from me I get generator status change info on a timely basis and customer service has been great to work with when I have questions Excellent                 Works fine keeps me informed

Website offers a little more data on individual generator operating specs but not by much This is an option with paid annual fees and the level of servicefeatures falls short Generac really needs to put some resources on adding functionality and display into the app and website ensuring data on both sites matches and is accurate My generator was installed in October Has had at least 4 weeks of weekly tests yet data on app and website indicates 1 hour run time Significant snow storm last night and we have been on generator power for at least 11 hours Generator backup usage time still indicates 1 hour generator time App for iPhone indicates voltage and frequency is off yet website indicates both are good Text alerts have functioned properly for weekly tests yet first time we went on generator powerno text alert only received Email indicating on generator power Generac you have customers that are willing to provide feedback on enhancements based on comments posted besides mine All appear reasonable for a servicefeature that we are paying annually for and its not an insignificant fee     Was Hoping for a lot More

After contacting Generac regarding push notifications I was told you need to disable push notifications reboot enable push notifications and then reboot again for notifications to work The frequency and voltage readouts do not work when the generator is running Needs some more work           Sort of Works

User interface is obscure and this version continues the flaw of showing the incorrect time in which events occur This should be an embarrassment to Generac        Uuugh

I love the fact that my app tells me when my generator fires up We had power go out and I received a push notification that my generator turned on Ill be able to rest easy this winter knowing that Ill be informed when the power goes out                 Peace of mind

Just had my generator installed last month What a lifesaver this winter Got the mobile link feature which will text me when things happen good and bad Now I can take a closer look at the details without opening a browser and signing in Great app                 Good timing

I can sign in but all I get is a blank grey screen Useless I would give 0 stars if the review allowed     Blank gray screen
