First of all and most important think is charts Charts doesnt updates itself at all no full screen charts on ipad Problems with options gives an error can not connect to server I mean IB developers can you at least take a look on TD Ameritrade trader app charts It should give you an idea of what we want Very difficult to speak with customer service Feels like you have to pay to get served        Way to many problems

The site is fine for buying and selling but on an every day basis I want a screen I can look at and quickly see how my portfolio is doing IB makes getting a look at the whole portfolio very piece meal only one stock at a time Id like a little bit of the flexibility seen in tws on this Some customization of the view        Cant do the simple stuff

Its good if you are on the go and need to have access to your account If you are trading options as I do its a step above worthless While they have recently added the ability to create combinations there is no Greeks available either in the option chain or position So the only time you can get any option Greeks info is in the option chain Monitoring your position profit loss is limited to only account balances So you can not monitor position the same way from a dedicated section of the underline like you can in the account section For me with a little more thought to the layout they could have made this is a great tool        Average

Works well enough but starting over from scratch logging in my security code card entries just because I needed to quickly check my mail or lookup some info in my browser is kind of a deal breaker I understand this might be for security but how about at least a 5 minute grace period Happy to change my rating if you can fix this     No multitasking

Basic need list of tickers with bid ask last position size value and days p and l How hard is that Yet this app does not even come close One page for list of quotes another for positions etc The worst app I have seen on the iPad And yet their mac app is great Just port that     Does 10 of what iPhone app does

I have many small complaints but the major complaint is there is no data on the daily change in your positions or portfolio Only has change in positions        No daily value change

Now all the charts are gone with the new update IB appsoftware developers are smoking something One screw up after another It starts at the top That means you Peterfly thought IB was the Professionals Gateway Not with mobile TWS The charting is a joke There is no booktrader no moving averages no pivot points or any indicators for the charts The candles on the charts dont move with price You cannot make a buying or selling decision with this Cheap commissions cheap Internet trading tools     Not for professional traders

Couple of things that have gone backwards in this delivery 1 No more time connection status and battery condition at the top Market opens at 830am think it would be nice to know what time it is in the application or if you have a connection or not 2 orders page content is wider than the window hiding the cancel button 3 trying to change the price of an order is more difficult You used yo be able to do 010 Now it is 001 and the button to do so is a lot smaller 4 bid and ask on the order window is too small for easy reading On the plus side 1 changing the order volume can be done on the order page rather than a separate page Please fix these features in the next build        A step backwards

App is just bad between this app and the horrible website Ive gotten so frustrated and slowly switching to Ameritrade and ThinkOrSwim which is more expensive but their stuff actually works Touch interface is spotty half the things Im supposed to tap are infuriatingly small on the full sized iPad and was much worse on the mini Authentication is frustrating and stuck in the dark ages Its not an anonymous web browser I shouldnt need to authenticate via the 2 factor authentication every time just when I first set the app up I picked IB to save a few bucks on trading but its one of those deals where you get what you pay for     KEEP CLEAR Bad Tools Bad Brokerage

Much easier to set up and customize than other trading apps I have used I like being able to monitor my stocks futures and currency indices on the same page Having it on my iPad makes it much easier to see all the data on the wider screen than the iPhone The interface is clear and easy to understand It could be better with realtime charts                 Great app

So at least mobile TWS makes reasonable use of the screen realestate on an iPad Ive only had it 3 days and charts worked the first day but not since Needs a lot of work but I think theyre on the right track           Step in the right direction

Great app unless you want to trade eminis after normal trading hours The futures charts are not 24 hours           Charting futures afterwords broken

Its usable even with poor Internet The biggest complain is totally unreadable numbers in red Please change the color              Good app

There are so many bugs in the latest IOS8 that it is almost impossible to use the app Pls fix        Lots of bugs on IOS8

It says that I can trade options but I cant seem to find it If I already hold options it allows you to close it out but If I want to Open new options then it doesnt allow you to do that At least I cant find it Also it would be nice if I could see my daily pl           Good but no options

I use this app every day for my trading I barely use my pcs anymore for trading This allows me to go about my day without having to stay close to my pc I didnt rate it a five star because although Im calling great it still has lots of room to grow into something much better then what it is now Hopefully the developers read these reviews and work towards some of these things I point out First thing The charts Id like to be able to EXPAND them to full screen Also have the ability to set how many days Id like to see and draw trend lines like the pc version with sliders Ordersbeing able to get orders ready to send without sending them until Im ready without having to delete it Again a lot like the pc version Alertsbeing able to set alerts directly from the stock or option or chart           Its great

I cant even find a place to just put in quick quote instead it has to add into the watch list every time The stock chart doesnt even have the function to switch to candlesticks Most of the stocks do not have chart data     Needs work

No significant tech indicators small charts very confusing alert setting module See superior ThinkorSwim app for comparison Not an app that is trader friendly and efficient        Basic needs work details refinement

Was working great after last update it now has issues reconnecting I have to log on and off a dozen or so times before it will connect to a server every time I want to look at it Tried 3 different wifi so I know its not the Internet     Last update broke viewing

Unstable app chart doesnt update fast enough        Slow chart in forex

Was pretty handy until they lost their index futures charting YM ES NQ Zs etc Customer service difficult to communicate with Edit much better with futures charting issue solved              Needs Work

I have updated to the new version Then it is a disaster now I cant login into my account After I put in user name and password I hit send and it stopped     New version dont work

I use this app daily when I go to lunch want to keep an eye on my investments Its great for monitoring your investments and buying or selling positions when you are out of the office Major drawback for me is the app lacks several features that professional traders use daily on the desktop version of the IB Trader Workstation Still no chart trading available for iPad no scale trading no moving averages no scholastic indicators no MACD no price volume history To many tools missing to day trade or run algorithms from the iPad This app is not ready for the demands of active traders Interactive Brokers offers the best trading prices of all the online brokers Their desktop trading platform is top notch This app is more of a compliment to the desktop version and not a robust trading tool           Nice app but could use some more features

Very buggy app earlier versions were better Bugs 1The screen for the security codes tilts by 90deg if you use the iPad in landscape format 2 TWS looses connection to the server all the timewhich requires frequent relogins GUI is good but the above bugs are very annoying by far and large I prefer the ETRADE iPad upmostly for the better reliability           Buggy

Some people use their portable devices for more than Facebook Apple is wasting the time of precious life of so many people with these worthless iOS updates changing the appearance and barely upgrading usability in fact all the new touch features are hardly usable requiring many swipes to properly function All versions of iOS 7 have left my trading apps unusable unable to connect to the internet I have downloaded all the latest updates for computer device and application I have uninstalled and reinstalled Also I cant even see the txt I am tying because the key or is blocking it Apple is spending time in the wrong area Focus on the user and seriousness of people using this for business     Apple Inc Is at fault

A great app keeps getting better and better If they add the news feature for all watchlists and not just the portfolio Ill be in heaven                 Great app

Much improved appearance over running the iphone app 2x on the ipad It lets me browse my portfolio and check on my account while sitting on the couch Id still only feel comfortable submitting orders via the PC but thats mostly due to the fear of mistapping the ipad screen rather than anything about the app                 nice app

more later first thing i notice i cant save an alert it says email missing when i enter the email it doesnt save it well see how things work during live trading           just trying it out

I like how well the app makes use of real estate on the iPad screen The iPad version has some significant advantages vs the iPhone app One thing which is sorely missing is the ability to see offhours quotes and charts This is a very basic function which the iPhone app has              Good But needs improvements

Loyal customer of interactive brokers but this app falls short Charting is limited to line charts in predefined timeframes that cannot be adjusted I need candlesticks in whatever timeframe appropriate for the moment Also whenever i attempt to adjust a parent order with an attached leg i get an error message and my modification does not go through This is unacceptable Almost cost me money when i was out at dinner and thought I could rely on this app     Needs improvement
