This app will not recognize my username and password I just paid for a 3 year subscription so I know my login is correct This is really not worth a 1 star Very disappointing     Doesn t Work sacen

When I try to log in I get a dialog box with no message     Doesn t work can t log in Sgt Satch

Without warning the app crashes on launch On deleting and re downloading I found I lost the ability to restore any of my purchases Great upgrade NOT     TERRIBLE BertR280

Update to my earlier review WARNING Do NOT delete this app and try re downloading I should have just left it at 1 0 version After I tried deleting and re downloading it asked me to log back in When I entered my email and password it doesn t recognize them as valid anymore just gives me a message Error 400 contact Realview I tried contacting Kalmbach shown in the App Store as the developer but they refuse to support this app and only want to support a digital MR subscription sold through their own website AND they on t do the monthly subscription only an annual one Forget this app until Karachi stops being inflexible greedy     Kalmbach messed this one up royally RiverCityJim

I ve been subscribing to Model Railroader since forever I bought the 75 year digital archive for a lot of money now it s abandoned as far as any update to remain usable I got the all access monthly subscription so I can read old issues while traveling As noted by others downloads are painfully slow worse if you switch apps or heaven forbid allow the iPad to auto lock the app loses its place and one must reboot the app find the issue you were working on and restart where you left off I ve learned to disable auto lock before starting Before leaving for a long bout of travel I downloaded at great effort a bunch of issues on my iPad3 Now I have a fast new iPad which reports the app developer must adjust to keep from slowing down the new technology On the new iPad the archive correctly showed as downloaded all the issues painstaking loaded before but it will not access any of them it just goes into permanent freeze So I had to delete the app which of deletes all the data so downloading a travel library must start anew I m pretty sure it s not worth the effort Many others have noted the utter frustration of trying even to navigate to an issue 20 years ago much less 60 I love this magazine its history and the hobby But to continue charging monthly fees with no thought of keeping the app even remotely current is a betrayal     Come on Kalmbach Update this app Sedona2103

App works well if you are wanting to access the latest few issues going further back into the archive is beyond painful After two years the MR Archive app is still lacking a search engine It can be updated but only if Kalmbach so desires     No Search for You greatamericantrains

The app is great in that it will allow members to download any issue within the archive to read of your device That said the app is totally lacking any search function at all If you want a magazine from say 50 years ago you will need to scroll through over 600 issues to find the one you re searching Also you will need to know the issue you are seeking because there is no ability to search articles through the app Best advise use the web to find the issue you are searching for it has a much more user friendly environment than the app then you can flip through all the issues to download the one you want A good start but sadly lacking         Good start but Tony52

It is fantastic to be able to read old back issues of Model Railroader but the latest version of the app makes it frustrating to find old issues It requires the user to manually scroll back through all available issues in date published order Having a search function with the ability to choose year month of issue would be a great addition failing that a shortcut to each year of editions would be a great addition A nice try but it REALLY needs a way to find open issues more easily             Needs a search function Johnny0utah

This app makes me want to spend extra money on Zinio or Newsstand It s so so slow The magazine takes almost forever to download     Slower than anything Jazzycat11

If you have a subscription don t download this app It hangs up It crashes It s very sensitive to errant taps And worst of all the user experience is utterly terrible Much more thought should have gone into this before release Stick to viewing on a desktop browser     Don t waste your time Unsatisfied reader

Forced to scroll through hundreds of issues to get to what you want always resets back to the most current issue Clearly needs a search function even if it is by year and month         Not ready for primetime EMUFlow

Needs ability to be able to select by year then Issue As the app is now you have to endlessly scroll through hundreds of issues to locate the one you are looking for Also a search feature would be great All this said it is a lot of fun looking through very old issues         Not quite there yet Jramseyj59

Browsing to old issues is painful requires you to scroll from present back to the old issue date over 600 if going back to the 50s Slow download that frequently locks up requires you to scroll back from start App locks up while reading that requires a hard reboot of the iPad to clear The Windows PC on your computer is the only sure way to review the archives forget the app     Poor Performance ColoradoFlyer
