I figured out how to fix the lag Delete all from your multitasking bar It worked for me on my 3rd gen iPod Touch Anyways the review This game is one of the funnier games Ive played in a while Its also free right now so thats a bonus I give it 5 out of 5                 LAG FIX

Sucked So Glitchy Really poor controls Hated the story line And just Im glad I got it for free Wouldnt pay a penny for it anyway Needs an update really soon I hated this game and its a waste of space to have on your iPod     Would rate it a half of a star

Love the original really wanted to try this but I cant even open it     Crashes cant open

This game has awesome characters and its a series It gets really afflicting so if youd rather not be on your phone in front of friends and family I wouldnt suggest it The game is hilarious and incredibly fun to play                 ADDICTING

i would definitly buy all the episodes since im a huge fan of monkey island series but bulky pixels just keep distracting me from playing it please do support retina display like you did on 4th and 5th episodes           please please support retina display on iphone4s

i have all of the other monkey islands and have waited for this one to go on sale and when it went on sale for free i got it only to get a jettery and slow app that crashes every time i try and get guybrush to move also i cant get off the freaking island please fix           ok

Works completely fine on my iPhone havent experienced any crashes or anything I hope the series continues because I have been playing Monkey Island for forever                 No Problems

I was hoping the update would optimize the game some for older phones like my 3GS Now though I cant even get into the game It shows the loading text for a second and then exits Unplayable     Über Lag in the Start

The game itself is awesome Story characters voice acting puzzles The problems with it are more about the functionality of the app Its very choppy and laggy Also anytime you tap your iPhones home button to check a txt or anything for a second when you click the game to resume it you have to watch the Lucas Arts title screen and the headphones recommendation screen again for some reason EVERY time Makes it very unfun to play when multitasking           Game itself is good but problems keep it from being a good app

Feels like old times Graphics look beautiful on a retina display Didnt experience any lag but I am playing on a 4S Definitely going to check out the next episode                 The fun is back

I got chapter 1 for free and I liked it so much that I plan the buy the other chapters                 Plan to buy them all

Its pretty expensive to have it crash every time you open itloading screen for 2 seconds and back to home screen I was really excited when I saw this too     Sadly not worth it

Im playing on a 2nd gen Touch and cant get past the opening puzzle because I cant get Guybrush to walk rather than look at stuff Looks like it would be fun if I could get past it        Frustrating controls

The game is just a wait of my time        Terrible

This really does a great job of recreating the magic of the first 2 monkey island games                 Fantastic

I grew up playing monkey island games and Im so happy that there are still new adventures to be had I hope they keep making games until Im old Maybe even a console game                 So happy

The game was intermittently crashing on launch but now it constantly does     Crashes on launch

Just buy the wii version unless you want a glitchy crap fest It is good on the wii        Ugh

This game has been out a long time I noticed first ep was free Game is so bad I felt I had to write something to express how horrid this game is Runs like crap on iPhone 4 controls very clunky work half the time combining system inventory is def not intuitive This game just feels old like it belongs on a win98 desktop with mouse and keyboard     Poor controls poor speed on iphone4

Graphically far far far inferior to SEM1 Special Edition and MI2 LeChucks revenge those both look crisp and detailed This game looks all fuzzy and choppy Is it something with my phone        Why does it look like crap

i bought this game a while ago when it first came out i havent had any lag or shut down problems it does get a bit tracky when i first open it up but 2 min later its smoooooth sailing anyway ive been a fan of gybrush threepwood mighty pirate ever scence the very first game on PC from like 1993 or 94 humorus challenging and the characters are more rememberable than anything else ive seen or played i seriously choked on my pumpkin pie when i saw that they released the first 2 PC games on iphone and it being remastered was an extra hell ya now that they have this 5 part new game series i picked it up and again was floored on how amazing and fun it still is this is a major score for any point and click adventure puzzle fan if you havent checked out the original 2 games the secret of monkey island lechucks revenge you should really pick that up and get down on those first it will help you fall in love with the characters like stan the most annoying and rememberable character in the game by far haha and get used to the puzzle layouts if you dont know of some of the games insights you probly wont have as much fun with the puns and nostalgic punchlines in this series but even so such a worth while game for anyone of any age must buy for sure                 im not having any problems

I have always loved the Monkey Island series but I am very disappointed with how choppy the audio is and how long it takes to transition between scenes and tasks While I enjoy the game for its wit and storyline I will not purchase another episode until the glitches are updated Not what I expected as a final product from Lucasarts Very dissapointing        Very choppy

For those who have the crashing problem try play other games to run ur battery down then it will work           Good

This game is a lot of fun and this one episode took me about six hours to finish All episodic games should be this packed I kept expecting the story to cut off abruptly asking for money but it kept going I really hope Lucas Arts and Telltale pair up again to bring back Day Of The Tentacle and continue that story line I did experience lag at first but cleared some movies off my iPod temporarily shut down all other apps and it ran great                 Amazing

Voice actingstory and their so called jokes are god awful     One of the worst games Ive ever played

I never and I mean never right reviews But I have to for this game I started playing monkey island back in 2002 I found The Curse of Monkey Island at a garage sale and the case was interesting enough that I bought it Ever since then Ive played every game and can honestly say that this series is a addicting And b hilarious This game could make a cranky old man chuckle Guybrushes character is probably the equivalent of Captain Jack Sparrow except even funnier I recommend EVERYONE download this game while its free and if you like it show your support by buying the rest of the series                 Simply amazing

Now that retina is supported and multitasking works as well this game is simply fantastic Great gameplay fun story nice graphics My original review The game is great except for 2 very frustrating shortcomings First the graphic is very pixellated as retina display is not supported Second the game drops to the main menu every time you switch to something else like a phone call as rapid app switching part of ios multitasking is not supported either Fix these two things and I will up my rating                 Fantastic

I enjoyed monkey island as a teen so downloaded all 5 of these tales Very amusing and the puzzles were tricky at times Certainly relived some of my wasted youth I had an iPhone 4S and never had a problem Try not to rely on walkthroughs too much it soils the sense of accomplishment Recommended for all ages                 Very Enjoyable

I downloaded this game for free It at first lagged a lot but after clearing all of my videos and music it ran really smoothly I had to knock off a star for that Otherwise the gameplay is fun and the story is catchy I especially liked the cliff hanger ending              An excellent revival for the Monkey Island series

I did not have any lag problems or glitches at all on my iPhone 4 Im guessing the people complaining are either using older phones or have too many apps running My one complaint is the cost of buying multiple episodes It makes it a little pricy once you buy all the episodes That said I wish that more of their games were available on the iPhone                 Loved it

Its all right nothing like I was expecting But I dont think I would pay for more           Glad I got it for free
