I ve been using monochrome for about 6 months now and with every update it only seems to get better The swipe gestures to close windows the clean view of posts the gorgeous dark mode and gif to video conversion make this app one of my all time favorites Monochrome has earned a place not only on my home screen but on my dock Thoroughly worth the 1 99 for the in app upgrade                     Simple convenient feature filled a worthy purchase Your 3xcelency

I really appreciate how much this app tries to stick to iOS interface guidelines Here are my suggestions and gripes after using it for a few minutes 1 Please follow text size specified in iOS Default text size on the app seems large On that point be consistent with text size across the app Settings font is much smaller than comments font 2 Tapping on pictures and videos are an inconsistent experience One brings up a picture right over the ui the other does a slide from the animation from the bottom 3 Clicking links on reddit to reddit should be handled natively not bring up safari             Great start needs quite a bit of work to be my daily driver Michael Vartan

Full disclosure I use Pro Great app use it more than any other app Wish it would crash less and GFYCAT links worked natively better             Better than the official Shanesan

NSFW posts are not pixelated and show without any sort of block You can filter NSFW posts out of your feed but then they are completely gone             Good but one major flaw TheBKBurger

I really like this app but the latest update has introduced some strange scrolling behavior While scrolling it will occasionally randomly jump down quite a ways and sometimes posts will reorder themselves It s really annoying losing your place and having to scroll around to find where you were             Scrolling Bug _dandroid

So many errors when commenting Poor formatting support and often if you re writing a longer reply your text will get hidden below your keyboard with no way to show it leaving you helpless and forced to abandon your post or comment Slow to nonexistent alerts for messages and comment replies and absolutely no control over those alerts or anything else really No customization at all even when paid version is obtained Decent layout and swipe gestures but the basic functions are lacking and need love Switching off this app for now to one with more support and less bugs     Poor usability and too many bugs tbengland

3D Touch functionality is great and Monochrome makes good use of it It isn t without downsides though I d like to see a few things added changed Ability to favorite subreddits in the subscriptions list like the Official Reddit App would be nice Quick actions are great don t get me wrong but only useful when launching the app The YouTube video player only plays in full screen It d be nice to have it play like the Official app does ability to play minimized and with YT caption support Formatting options support Reddit Sync was my favorite Reddit app on Android and the formatting functionalities it had were great Support for tables would be nice too Tables don t work at all in Monochrome Using the quoting format also doesn t show up properly I m guessing formatting support is just non existent at all Whether you re the one wanting to do the formatting or looking at formatted comments posts While I m happy that Monochrome plays the mp4 versions of Gfycat Imgur gifs I d like to be able to scrub through the mp4 without it having to be full screen Reddit Sync also had zoom functionality for gifs when full screened however I m not sure if that s because it only used the gif format While I get simplicity is the whole theme of Monochrome some customization options would be nice Using Reddit Sync as an example again It had great customization options for the Cards posts UI You could bold certain elements or change text size of certain elements title points etc Seeing the user who posted without having to tap into the post itself would also be appreciated Dark theme shouldn t be restricted to having to access your location Just use a time set by the user As in Auto dark theme set for 7 00 PM on until 7 00 AM Overall Monochrome is a great app Better in a lot of ways than the Official app but lacking in some areas compared to other Reddit apps                 Great Reddit app with great use of 3D Touch RoastedToastedOats

When I first installed Monochrome a few weeks ago there was a lot to like but it was a bit buggy and the interface was just a bit too inconvenient to be really good I feel like this update finally puts it over the bar from okay to good The UI freezes are gone there are now arrows for upvote downvote and reply functions and there is finally a gesture for upvoting                     My new go to Reddit client CDMoomaw

This app is actually pretty nice and I m looking forward to the dev improving it further I m looking forward to features like multireddits and accent themes In terms of these accents allow the user to select a color that can accent either the existing light or dark theme So if I chose blue as my accent color I d have blue accents in both the light and dark themes I m thinking something along the lines of what AlienBlue used to do Anyway good job so far                     Has potential DarthPalladius

I don t normally write reviews but the dev here earned it I ve had Alien Blue since well before Reddit bought them and have stubbornly been using it until they pry it from my cold dead hands Well I heard about monochrome in some sun Reddit and the dev was there asking and answering questions I downloaded it just to keep an eye on the changes he said were coming from that discussion Once they released compact view it took me a couple hours of trying it out before I deleted Alien Blue Only way I Reddit now Nice job                     Best Reddit Client KrazyCelticKid
