Error messages and try again later wastes more time     Waste of time

Slow filled with ads limited stock charting capability no bond data The stock and fund reports are good though     Not worth the download

The organization and content of the Snapshot view on iPhone 6 is truly awesome It is far superior to anything offered by the three major brokerage companies I have and account with Ability to customize view by deletingadding data columns from available menu would make this app par excellence Worthy of five stars              Portfolio Snapshot on Morningstar App

I get real tired of waiting for app to open I am just about ready to delete it        Real slow

It has locked up on me a couple times I had to delete it and reload once so far I was going to buy their premium service but I am not interested if they dont have a good mobile app     Unreliable

Either Im just not technically versed enough or one needs to be far more technically savvy to use this app I am considering dropping my membership until this becomes more user friendly I believe there are less technical apps for me to get what I need        Struggling

The new version is a hugely retrograde step Its interminably slow the designers have tried to squeeze an iPad screens worth of information into the limited real estate of an iPhone screen making it hard to see anything at a glance Result I have almost entirely stopped using the app on my iPhone it was by far by far my most heavily used app beforehand in favor of my iPad where I still have the old iPhone app running Makes it much less convenient on the go Otherwise I go to Reuters or Bloomberg for quick price checks M you blew it with this one Please bring back the old version even if you have to rebadge it as MLite to save face     Echo complaints of others

The new application is difficult to read has almost no contrast with the letters and uses an extremely small font which I cannot make bigger This latest update is a classic case of change for change sake If its not broke dont fix it     New version unusable User hostile UI

Poor navigation insufficient content compared to the website and missing links to content This app is clearly not designed to fully service a customer who uses the full Morningstar content The iPad app is better     Terrible

Cant seem to create or access portfolio The rest of the app is fine but without a portfolio function whats the point of having it     Fatally flawed

Ive subscribed to Morningstar for years The most recent release was horrible This release is a vast improvement Loading speeds seem back to normal and there are ample data options Thanks for getting this done b              Huge improvement with this fix to prior release

The new skin looks nice but the user experience is frustrating The minimal viable product features were poorly chosen The app release should have been halted from production release to prevent the user back lash     Bad to Worse

Cant look at performance tax or portfolio data like you can on their website Cant even compare tickers to benchmarks etc so stripped down it is useless     Terrible

The reason I use this app is for the watch lists The old version was much more functional for creating portfolios and watch listsas well as updating the lists All if the other information on the app is pretty good        Watch lists not very functional

Difficult to use not intuitive at all Usually Morning Star content is very useful but getting to it from this app is next to impossible     Horrible

As a paid subscriber its disappointing for morning star to have such a subpar app When searching for a particular stock the app gives you the analyst report for a completely different stock     Disappointing

For me the upgrade from original is a setback in readability touch response and overall use of screen space Even the new icon is questionable since by removing the M of Morningstar you become more generic and effectively mess with a brand logoidentity thats not a moathelpful move and they should know better        Screen Efficiency Failure

Why does Morningstar NOT fix access problem ALL other apps work on my iPhone 6 There is the usual excellent Morningstar information and charts if you can ever get it to load Response is normal when it finally does load if you dont give up first Please tell me Morningstar what is your problem     Just NOT Working Need to fix access problem

Watch list functionality has a lot of errors     Too many bugs and errors

So after a couple very brief attempts to use the updated version I finally decide to give it a real look under the hood All the info that I used to use is now gone This app has fallen from my go to apps to my I hope they fix this listdont be yahoo financefix this thing     God awful

MorningStar is the great webpage to do research on funds and companies The app is pretty useless it doesnt even let me view the company profile Uninstalled it with out giving it to much thought     Not enough functionality

Jam 2015 and still freezes often Delete reinstall again Dec 2014 Freezes often it does load faster but the information in the watchlists that I have created is not there MS said they standardized the information so that it would load quicker I would rather have the information Not sure why we cant have both though Add portfolio analysis MS iPad has it I can get it on the website of my iPhone for Vanguard and for MorningStar I contacted support without any meaningful response     Set Back HELP

First the app is very slow and 2 times couldnt open server The news items were at least a week old on stock I was looking at Articles dont have a date so you dont know how old the quotes are Most what I read was at least 7 days old Couldnt open my account Didnt give any options other than to log out Couldnt add stocks to watch list Couldnt open watch list at all Overall very disappointing Cant give any better rating than a 1 only because they at least tried to have an app Now even trying to enter a rating doesnt work Maybe 1 star was too much Im sure theyll make it right but I dont think in this competitive world you should make sure the app works before telling your customers its ready Questioning my membership now     Morningstar

This app gives me the information I want in several portfolios and watch lists It is fast and easy to read on my iPhone6 with good WiFi Great free addition to my Premium subscription snd easy to use                 Very pleased

Having to delete and then reinstall the app every time is wearing thinall other apps work fine sorry folks this ones a waste of time     Terrible Never loads

Great improvements over previous version The multiple time frames on barometer screen and the sliding columns on the portfolio screen are great I deleted the previous version this one Ill definitely keep Needs 3 final tweaks to be put it over the top for investment apps load faster Still a little slow single screen summary view showing gainloss for each portfolio and major market indexespossible just add a section with portfolio summaries to the bottom of the index list on the barometer screen integration into Today view in iOS Notification Center to show daily gainloss by portfolio and include market summary              Becoming my goto

Ironic that youre asked to give a star rating for an app developed by Morningstar which is known for its starrating system Although this app isnt awful its still only average I can get infinitely more information on funds with the Bloomberg app than this one Except for the star rating the app doesnt really offer much more than similar apps I used to have three apps including this one and ditched all of them after I discovered I could get everything those apps offered and more with just Bloomberg Business           Star rating LOL

Update The closing prices do not update until late and sometimes not until the next day I do not recommend this app This app is much improved over the former versions but still balky and not designed well Interface is not clean The welcome note looks like kids wrote it Too many steps to accomplish what you want     There are better apps out there

About 40 of the time the app will act as if it is downloading data upon initial opening but never completes Neither will it allow you to change selections Hard shutdowns of the app dont work either so you have to wait for a completely different time of the day to try again What makes it more frustrating is that even when it is performing it is so slow in retrieving the info that you cant be sure it is working unless you leave it alone for at least 2 minutes Much easier to use iPhones ticker if you just want to check barometers or individual symbols        Fails to completely load every time

The current version is working better and it runs faster than before The gain loss totals are pretty much useless It provides a gain loss number that totals GLs from today for ETFs and stocks but includes the GL from the previous day for mutual funds This is a new feature that probably should be removed        Still not there yet

The current version is much improved in terms of user interface and resembles the original app closely Daily performance of portfolio is now readily available at a glance and the app refreshes faster as well The app still does not seem to refresh automatically it would be good if it can do that as well              Good improvements in the current version
