I teach fourth and fifth graders and this is the multiplication fact app I recommend to all of my families It is extremely well designed and one of the very very few apps inn which the game play increases student understanding instead of distracting from it Students tilt the iPad toward the greater number as it approaches them on the screen kinesthetic reinforcement of greater thanless than At first these are blocks in arrays or semi arrays but soon number sentences appear along with the arrays then number sentences without visuals If a child misses one it returns with greater frequency reinforcing the new learning The use of arrays and number sentences also reinforces students understanding of what multiplication is In fact my first grade son stumbled upon this app and discovered multiplication and the commutative property by himself Look mom it doesnt matter if the blocks are arranged long or shortits the same If you buy one multiplication app this should be it                 Deepens understanding and reinforces facts
