Movie Magic Scheduling To Go

As other reviewers have noted this is not a standalone product but rather a companion product to the PCMac version of MM Scheduling That being said even when used in that context I have to say it is a pretty underpowered app Its basically able to display and sort well sort of strips and to view Breakdown Sheets So if youre on set or out scouting and want to make some minor changes it could be mildly useful However it is not possible to add sheets view DayOutofDays or do pretty much anything else This is way too rudimentary to be a useful let alone convenient app I cant recommend it and frankly regret my purchase     Next version better be a MAJOR upgrade

When I saw MMS To Go it prompted me to buy my first Ipad hoping that it was the exact thing I neededand it sure was I was still old schoolprinting out schedules storyboards and a thousand other papers But this product was my dream come true So now no heavy notebooks no lugging the laptop into the South American jungle where were shooting just bring the Ipad and MMS Thanks EP                 Great product

Cannot create or edit a schedule on iPad For 30 bucks this Is underperformance in the extreme        Import only

Even though it says very clearly that this app needs a file generated in the new and costly Movie Magic 5 no where in the description or requirements does it say that this app is Not Backward Compatible with the other previous and costly versions of Scheduling This app wont open any files other than the new msd file it doesnt even see epsd or mms files BUYER BEWARE I think its really shortsighted on EPs part to create a scheduling app that only reads files from the newest version Cmon EP make it backward compatible create a convertor utility to make files compatible or at least clearly warn everyone at the top of the description I am severely disappointed        Buyer Beware

And this was my backup attempt to read my ADs schedule after MMS 52 also failed to read a schedule generated by the exact same version I wasted over 500 today on software from EP that simply Wouldnt Work     Crashes on import 29 worth of absolutely nothing

Until Entertainment Partners realizes this app is a waste of 30 and turn it into a real script breakdown and film scheduling tool I will vehemently speak out against this app All you can do in this app is rearrange strips in your Stripboard and see your scene breakdowns Seriously that is all Do not waste your money Just go home at the end of your day that youve hopefully made and update your schedule from version 5 or 6 I have yet to upgrade but it is hopefully better than this app and then send updated PDFs of all your revised reports Do not waste your money     Do Not Waste Your Money

Great to have the schedule when out scouting and moving strips on the board Need to be able to edit elements to make it truly great              Great start

Its a fair attempt but needs a LOT of help Heres some suggestions for the developers keeps crashing on import Wont load in the schedule the UI needs to be more user friendly and logical The strip boards column is unnecessary to stay on the screen when youre interacting with a schedule Getting rid of it will allow more space to interact Put a button on top that allows you to go to a strip selection screen or dialogue box Why dont my comments come with the schedule I need to test to confirm that they actually stay with the project file when moving back to the desktop app UPDATE I moved a file back and forth and it stipped out the comments This is unacceptable What else is it stripping out The scene details section should work with twisties on the same page not slide another page in Photos Please take these more seriously Especially in the main desktop app which for some strange reason you can import pictures but have NO ability to print within any report Makes no sense whatsoever For the iPad app you shouldnt have to do two actions to see the images click on the photo icon click on the photo then a window pops up You should be able to see a larger image right away And if you have multiple images you should be able to slide between them Check out how the Zillow app works a much better way Overall as the app is now it only has limited use until some of these issues are fixed especially the stripping off of data Remember were paying 29 for this     Many issues

This app could be so helpful on set and on scouts Ideally I would be able to select multiple strips at a time like a whole day to move around the schedule not just to and from the boneyard It would be great if you can add elements into the breakdown sheets If I could add balloon light to a page on the fly it would be very helpful Only being able to view a schedule in this app is slightly less convenient than just holding a piece of paper Paper doesnt use data or run out of batteries It would be very helpful if there was a DOOD function especially for cast It looks good and shows potential        Needs Work has potential

An elegant interface intuitive and straight forward Nice feature set makes it a good mobile companion to the standalone version for desktops and laptops A bit frustrating that you cant add input to breakdown sheets on the fly with your mobile device which is exactly the time when you need the ability Still the ability to move strips change banners easy upload and sync capabilities make this app a great first step              First step

After paying 500 for the necessary desktop app youd like to think that being required to spend an additional 30 for this app would be rewarded by a high quality useful app Guess again This is essentially a 30 schedule viewer NO ability to edit strips NO ability to add info or photos during scouts NO ability to view DooDs NO ability to addsubtractedit elements Nothing This merely allows you to view and move strips back and forth up and down And whats worse This is still v10 Why are there no updates Im addition to the various bugs mentioned by other reviewers one would at least like to think EP cared about making a quality product As it is this is pretty worthless and unnecessarily complicated vague and limited Definitely regretting my purchase as I have been for well over a year Silly me for expecting updates and progress     Why does this cost money
