The very brilliance of this app explains the poor reviews it s idiosyncratic and there s a learning curve The developer is incredibly responsive and a relentless updater and his application does more with midi and audio editors and more elegantly than any other iOS DAW                     Another update for the top of the class littlewoodg
This is a very flexible and powerful DAW It is fun to use and works very well The developer is fantastic                     A powerhouse for composers B'bba
I just got MTS a few days ago and have been comparing it to Cubasis GarageBand and etc I have to say that I like MTS more than any other iOS MIDI sequencer and feel that I have finally found an iOS sequencer that does everything I need in the most straightforward way MTS lets me record MIDI with poly aftertouch from my USB keyboard and apply it to other iPad synth apps Because of its versatility and ease of use I ve become very comfortable with it in a short period of time Once you figure out the hidden features it s quick and easy to get around                     Very Satisfied BobGately
I am done with this app It makes me want to smash my iPad into little pieces and delete my iTunes iCloud And shove the broken pieces right up someone s D k hole             Give up Jkwylde78
This is a fully functional DAW made by a developer who listens to his users It s ultra efficient in size no extraneous visuals graphics unnecessary windows to open and close This frees up system resources I can load it up with tons of IAA apps at once along with some heavy soundfonts 500 meg that would choke other iOS apps BS 16 Once you get to know how it works the simplicity makes for a very efficient workflow I also love how it imports midi You can now open in midi files such as drum loops straight from Dropbox and other apps and it can automatically adjust the BPM of the imported file to match your project It captures all the time signature changes from the midi file right in the DAW so easy I ve looked at every DAW for iOS and this was the only one that fit all of my needs to be able to use different odd time signatures and the ability to change time signature within the song If you look yourself you will find none of the other DAWs on iOS can do this All other iOS DAW s are either stuck in one meter for the whole song or can only handle a few different simple time signatures which I find ridiculous The IAP has a lot of great features that I found worth the price If you do any sort of electric guitar work you really need the IAP convolutor along with you own personal collection of cabinet impulse responses The Convolutor paired with some subtractive EQ can really tame the signal coming from amp sim apps I m a happy user This DAW is the best currently available on ios                     The only DAW you need for iOS Guapolator
I have a one person stage show with two keyboards a drum machine sampler and a rack full of synths I perform live with MIDI tracks I create and don t have the luxury of a roadie or sound tech to help with things like the light show and video show and all After I create a song I play the exported MIDI files on stage using another popular player app That said I have to say that I am super excited to have this app which writes bank select program changes volume pan and all the other CC messages to the exported MIDI file I have looked at all the iPad DAWs and this is the only one that can do this Being a one person show it is critical that at the beginning of each song the MIDI file sets up all my synths I don t have time to manually fiddle with controller knobs and sliders or even remember their settings Desktop software and hardware sequencers have long been able to write this data into the file output but if you like me are wanting to work primarily with the iPad then this is it Support from the developer is good and prompt I would say this app is worth the price and I am glad to have purchased                     Great for a performing MidI musician IndianaMatt
YES It is the most complete DAW for iOS I found it much more intuitive than cubasis and like its streamlined UI more than cubasis Inter app audio and audio bus support alone make it very useful The built in software instruments are weak compared to other DAWs but again you can use your external apps None of the plugins nor software instruments have presets so you ll need to know what your doing I couldn t find anything online that really sold me on it but I m glad I took a chance Love it                     Is it worth 30 i_Reviewer
This is fast becoming a fantastic app with a very serious developer who wants to give you the best I had a question and a small problem which not only did the developer answer quickly by email he also fixed it in the newest update I have been using the app for recording live tracks and mixing It s easy fast intuitive high quality and the effects are nice too Another great thing is it has a small foot print memory wise Try it you ll like it Very nicely done                     Great app StrazzaMedia
Real nice DAW Great midi editor Bought the IAP Lots of updates                     My new go to Finfin543
A 30 purchase for a new DAW is a bit of a risk but my early impressions of MultiTrackStudio MTS have been quite good The developer is very responsive and there is a freeware version of MTS that you can use on Windows limited to 3 tracks You can even ship projects back and forth from desktop to iPad though I think this may require a file transfer by cable if so would like that procedure improved MTS records audio tracks and supports AudioBus IAA and AudioCopy Paste so it has the full suite of features you would ask for if your goal is to create projects using synths drum apps and even recorded guitar and vocals Integration with AudioShare is phenomenal the app makes it incredibly easy to get samples and other content in an out of that app and from DropBox by proxy The star feature of this app and the one that drove me to try it despite the fact that I also have Auria and MT DAW is the MIDI data editing On the PC version you can create MIDI tracks that power VST plugins On iPad you can program MIDI data with a piano roll note score or drum hit layout chart and control apps with IAA and perhaps AudioBus too It s a little daunting for a novice at first but it does work Even more amazing MTS will record keyboard inputs from a MIDI controller or the on screen keyboard as MIDI data So if that E note you played was supposed to be an F you can fix that in the data Or if it was off by a little on the timing you can move it or quantize the notes This feature is available in some PC DAW s costing hundreds of dollars but it s fairly unique to iOS DAW s and it really helps for the creative process The interface is a little different than Auria or Cubasis but virtually all of the functionality is there The on board effects are decent The included instruments not so much but the app has an SoundFont player that creates almost infinite possibilities for instrument noises without ever leaving the app and programming them in MIDI This really is an amazingly well thought out DAW Most of the features aren t revoluntionary but the workflow is very smooth and the small file footprint favors efficiency it actually runs pretty well on my aging iPad2 Would like to see it continue to improve but this one s a winner UPDATE 09 29 14 Well it continued to improve If 6 stars were an option version 1 5 and the addition of the Matrix Sampler would have put it over the top Not only can you import your own samples from wav files etc but you can copy raw audio or even MIDI data from other tracks in the amp and save them as samples The MIDI is rendered through whatever IAA instrument you have it set up with This makes it incredibly easy to put together a diverse array of sounds that can be triggered as sampler hits without ever leaving the app I m so incredibly pleased with the features and continued support of this app that I plan on buying the extension pack shortly                     Mixes ease of use with a deceptive amount of depth HouseOfHomuth

My initial review is positive Really good midi editor for IOS Could use a few things to get to 5 stars Audiobus and IAA IOS import Maybe Audioshare and audiocopy IOS users do not like linking up to a PC to transfer files Audio editor needs more tools Overall good app with nice GUI Just updated review to 5 stars Thanks for the IAA Audioshare Audiocopy midi in and out options Bravo It was done in record time also                     Positive Mgmg4871

Dont let the lack of reviews or tutorial videos put you off this app One word comes to mind with MTS efficiency It has no more or no less than it needs to be a fully functional DAW Theres no extraneous visuals graphics unnecessary windows to open and close This makes it very efficient with regards to system resources I can load it up with tons of IAA apps at once along with some heavy soundfonts 500 meg that will choke other iOS apps and it doesnt even bat an eye at me while playing it all back at once Once you get to know how it works the simplicity makes for a very efficient workflow I also love how it imports midi You can now open in midi files such as drum loops straight from Dropbox and other apps and it can automatically adjust the BPM of the imported file to match your project It captures all the time signature changes from the midi file right in the DAW so easy Ive looked at every DAW for iOS and this was the only one that fit all of my needs That was to be able to use different odd time signatures and the ability to change time signature within the song If you look yourself you will find none of the other DAWs can do this They are either stuck in one meter for the whole song or can only handle a few different simple time signatures Crazy for those other DAWs to leave out one of the fundamental elements of music I know The matrix Sampler feature is a great tool capturing the full power of the midi and audio engine in the app Record or import wav or drag and drop some midi and it renders the audio via audiobus or IAA automatically Then chop it up The IAP has a lot of great features too The Convolutor is great for using custom cabinet impulse responses for my guitar and the pitch shifter is almost worth the price of the IAP by itself You really need this along with you own personal collection of cabinet impulse responses if you do any sort of electric guitar work as the Convolutor paired with some subtractive EQ can really tame the signal coming from amp sim apps Ive probably used enough superlatives here to make you think I must be related to the developer but Im really just a happy user This DAW is the best                 The only DAW you need for iOS

With this new update the developer responded to a user request and added special grabhandles in the MIDI piano roll editor to make adjusting the position length of a note very quick and easy This can be enableddisabled in preferences But Im leaving it ON I love it This is a very flexible and powerful DAW It is fun to use and works very well The developer is fantastic                 A powerhouse for composers
Does what it ought too which is get you laying tracks and making music lickety split                 The right tool
