Music Theory Calculator plays and displays note names for scales, chords, and intervals. Much like an ordinary calculator speeds up math, Music Theory Calculator speeds up the process of making music. Use it to find ...
Any music teacher that either teaches theory or jazz improvisation would love this app Very cool                 Awesome
A powerful yet simple nononsense reference to scales chords and intervals Select a scale key and type and it displays the note names and accidentals Similar story for chords and intervals Not tied to any particular instrument which is good for me since I play multiple instruments Just the basic information and nothing more                 Just what I was looking fir
Give it a pitch and chordscaleinterval and it will tell you the notes Includes every single one gives the very advanced ones                 Perfect
Very good app William the one thing I would like to see is some sort of Save or add to favorites feature for each scale chords and interval and then a favorites or Saved tab to come back to the ones you liked so that making a song is just that much easier One final minor thing is I would like to see the speaker button to see the audio clip flow into the UI a little better These are minor critiques and by no means should make you think I hated this app because that couldnt be farther from the truth              Great App
Looking for an app that will just allow me to hear what a specific note sounds like so when Im trying to figure out the notes to a solo I can write them down Like if I want to hear what a D note sounds like I want to be able to hear that note without having to hear the whole scale Seems like a simple app but cant find one anywhere           Ok but not what Im looking for
I also own the Guitar Toolkit app This is the one feature noticeably missing from that app which costs 10 times what this one does Guitar Toolkit displays scales chords and intervals for you to strum and play This app allows you to select what you want to hear and then plays it for you Its not perfect but useful I wish that it had selectable instrumentssome of the denser piano chords soundbad The examples could be at a slower tempo as well CEGCEG instead of CEGCEG File size probably a programming issue Still great app for a dollar                 Useful and specialized
Scales and modes have eluded me until now If you sit down with this app and display the Circle of Fifths chart from Wikipedia in about 15 minutes of playing around it will all make sense to you This has got to be the best 99 cents I have EVER spenttruly                 Superb app
Can we get an update where the audio plays the scale not only up but also down the scale at the same time Right now the audio playback plays the scale upward and not downward This is still a 5star innovative app and worth more than 99 Ive been playing the guitar and music theory for nearly 2 decades and I highly recommend this app for all musicians of all levels                 Almost perfect
It is easier to show to studets with this app              Good for music teachers
This app is really useful I use it all the time It would be awesome if it could be released for iPhone 5 and up Otherwise a must have app for any musician                 Amazing app
I was sceptic of getting this app due to lack of reviews but I took a chance and got it and am now putting a review to make it known that this is a great app It has all the scales in every form all chords and intervals and actually plays them for you to hear Which many apps dont do Its basically a chord and scale book in your pocket in case you ever forget Well worth my dollar and cant wait to to see what else is added to this Im a fan                 Fantastic
After 9 years of music school and 2 music degrees BM and MM I can recognize good teaching tools This app is welldesigned for the intermediate amateur and the pro alike                 Very helpful and fun
It is supposed to be do re me so le do and leave the fourths and sevenths out           Very useful but minor Pentatonic is wrong
I was glad to have found this app recently Just wish I would have had it 15 yrs ago when I was in school o One thing that would be a great addition would be the ability to select only certain scales chords or intervals and save them to a favorites page This would help for study purposes     Good app
I like it but the button you press to play the scale or chord acts a little weird If you press it too quickly the first couple of notes sound too close together Just a minor fix is like to see Very helpful app              Good
Great great app A tool every musician should have                 Awesome
