This is a great app I have experienced no problems with it and it is fun and easy to use I have learned so much Great app                     Good job cheesemouse🧀🐭
You have your training but without training on specific tones I bought this to try out for my students but my students are all kids and this is not a kid friendly app and I would really appreciate my money back because even as an adult player this application is not intuitive I m pretty unhappy with the money I spent     Ear training notes mark1221
So I really like this app But it appears this is a problem that needs fixing for many as I did not type anything in quotations and it appeared as I went to write a review Please fix I lost sound to intervals and tempos in the ear training section and after every question I answer there is an ask to go to MT Prof Which isn t even available in the iTunes Store Please fix                     MT Prof Noopm
The ear training only works with chords and not intervals scales or tempo Otherwise an excellent app and a fun way to stay sharp musically                 Awesome app but ljj8503
The sound for the ear training is not working I m sure this is a fantastic app but unfortunately the ear training sound isn t working which is kind of a big deal when learning music theory Fix this immediately and I m sure the app is golden             FIX THIS Ldchriste
This app used to be great for practicing theory skills and note recognition but now it frequently it prompts you to buy another app which disturbs the user Why do you have to push your other app DESPITE THE FACT THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR THIS ONE         Used to be great Anthony Bobo
But recently some of the ear training features aren t working properly on my iPhone 6s The rhythm intervals and scales sounds aren t playing I mean you can hit the play button and it recognizes the 3 times you can hit it But there is no sound The chords section works just fine It s only the tempos intervals and scales that don t work HALP                 Usually fantastic app but recently Taco Magoo
Overly artsy and stylized UI Awkward to use at times but one of the best learn music apps available                 Kinda weird UI but very functional DSMIA
I ve been searching for the most music pro app and this one is on top of the rest If you re interested in 13th and more this is the app                     The best app of its kind Achillesxman
For one it doesn t save my username and it persistently asks me to enter it As a startup version it s okay but it s far from perfect like the fifth and fourth intervals Just one instrument to make the tones A clarinet for example would be appreciated             Almost adequate ENRomero
I was looking for an app that would show me diminished and half diminished chords and all I got was an app that wanted me to name the chord This does not help me to read the IReal book When I tried to contact the company to ask how to find it or how to properly use app The bars in front only allow me to give a review So here it is I want my money back     Hate it Pictures show something I didn t get Singin' Fool
Works all the time Written by someone who has mastered music theory                     A very good app Texfid5
So this app is very well designed and has been helping me a lot with learning my music theory faster but since I switched to iPhone 6 I m not able to switch the settings in the app for example somehow I was able to switch to bass clef and then wanted to switch back to trouble clef but now it does not let me switch Please update and fix this bug I do really like this app and would have given 5 stars                 Was awesome Until Marcoosio
Note naming Settings Clef Screen Freezes Uninstalled reinstalled same problem             Needs fixing music4theskies
Whew After rolling the dice on several similar apps and finding that the developers wanted piccolo players to learn bass clef why not Chinese and Sanskrit too I found this app Covers every aspect of music and allows control of preferences X bass clef in my case Try this one first Only annoyance Posting score is of no use or help to me Wastes my priceless time I d like to loop back in instantly for another go Not get social I compete against myself healthier                 Great preference selection fret20
Great app but it crashes every time you finish a test Needs bug fix             Crashing Issue SSinSF
This app does not work well with the new iOS 9 update It frequently crashes     Please fix iOS 9 issues iireene
Great app for reinforcing your skills I ve been using it to practice key signatures and it s been very helpful One small issue is that occasionally the correct answer will be dimmed out and unpressable forcing you to choose an incorrect answer Not really a big deal I definitely recommend this app for any serious musician                     Great way to drill yourself BalrokShire
im using this every day and its very helpful thank you                     great app Alex Pogosian
One star because I have been waiting for an update for a year I love this app But I am not motivated to use it much It could be so much more How about levels and progress charts and achievement records How about a visual map to show progress like on some of the addicting iPad games What makes Candy crush so addicting It s the levels and visual sense of progress Also this app has so much more potential Chord inversions chord progressions relative pitch perfect pitch key chord relationships instrument timbre recognition texture identification Add some of these ideas and make it fun addicting to play and you ll be my favorite app     Would be great if it were a little more fun Awaiting fix
Makes for excellent review of your music theory knowledge It can become a fun game to pass time too                     Solid Aknonetaken
Good app Stable aesthetic lots of options easy to customize definitely great for ear training                     Good app Kdapple..'
Music theory has been simplified so that anyone can learn it This will be like Provigil Modafinil a Nootropic for your talent Buy this now and you ll be amazed LiveFearless                     Must Have App by the Creative Genius Artist radiosam
This is a great app for learning key signatures intervals etc It s attractive and functional Unfortunately once you ve gone through a drill it essentially forces you to post your name and score to leaderboards I m motivated by learning I have no desire to publish my scores win piddly condescending badges or be listed on leaderboards full of people who don t have the motivation to learn because they want skill Give me an option to turn off gamification and I ll go for five stars                 Great for learning Don t force leader boards Stever777
The one star is for immediate attention I think you guys should make the interactive keyboard 2 octaves long Especially for the note names section That is all When that is fixed I will repost with 5 stars     I actually love this app Daniel_Damien
This is an excellent learning tool My theory improves every time I use this device Something that is difficult for me is in the ear training section When the answer is showing the new interval or chord is playing It would be helpful to have a pause or a repeat with the answer showing before moving on especially when I m wrong                     Love the app LehuaMamo
This app will help you get caught up on things that might be a struggle in your Theory I studies Has EVERYTHING you need and all levels of direction Scales intervals note identification chording classical jazz orchestral major and minor even ear training exercises It helped IMMENSELY with my grades It s a MUST HAVE APP                     Excellent for new theory students JL O'Connor
All I get is this cancel or okay option Doesn t make sense please fix I like this app wish it worked properly             Settings are messed up jonnyakamu
The app is great I just don t understand how the global scores work There are people in the millions plus range and I can only get in the 100 thousands point range on the 100 question test But i remember on the old version you used to be able to go up to 500 questions Is it because those people are still using the old version where you can go up to 500 questions                     Just wondering Kwjssjwk
This app is by far the best iPad iPhone app I ve worked with There are others like Music Tutor but it s only limited to just note naming Music Theory Pro is just like the name says it s a pro at aiming towards teaching theory without a headache Provides a fun challenging way to learn all the aspects of theory You ve got everything from note naming to chord naming and ear training And it s all broken down step by step so that once you master note naming you can move on to key signature naming Just the best app in my opinion and I highly recommend downloading it Can t wait for the midi compatibility for the Mac version Thank you                     Amazing Theory App Granttes
Boring bad interface Read a book or get a different app or go to school Let this one go     Not worth your time or money Owl
I ve only taken 1 semester of music theory and this app is boring to me The answers for the key signatures are in the order of the circle of fifths so you don t really have to know the answer I can read music so I obviously don t need the note name section the only useful part is probably the ear training                     Boring Prince_Mal
Though the format of the app has visually improved it has lost it s value by getting rid of the music theory review Before the app had review inside the app which was very useful for a quick review but now one must go to the website and watch videos PLEASE BRING BACK THE REVIEW IN THE APP It s much more convenient and helpful                 Better before SO2595
As a musician who was formally a music major before switching this app works very well as a refresher and trainer I ve had a couple of theory courses so this is perfect for me If you are new to theory this will do only ok for you but you ll probably want a book or website or another app to explain what all the symbols mean If they incorporate that idea into this app then it would be really great Either way download it                     Very very good for review datpsychguy
It s a wonderfull tool to learn music theory                     Love it alsys75
Just reopened this app after a while Very nice after this last update Neat interface and nice layout Thought went into it Well done                     super app BayonneNick
Use it every day                     Great tool to keep Deldrin
At the risk of sounding like an old man 39 the staff is now too small Mostly the accidental within the staff are tough to make out clearly This was never an issue before I think you sacrificed function for style Also since the latest update the sound during ear training comes out the speaker of my phone even while plugged in to my headphones No other app on my phone has this issue No more private ear training on my daily commute to work Still a great app but may have slipped a bit backwards             Latest update hard to see Too small Bicrophone
I have been a music student and Music Theory student for many years This app is absolutely wonderful for sharpening a persons musical skills and knowledge It is enjoyable to use therefore I use it to stay sharp I am very glad to have this                     Music Theory app DPinSD
I ve been using this mostly for ear training and it works wonders Totally worth it for quizzing your ear and other musical knowledge                     Incredible app Creative Reviewer 117
On many of the jazz chords the piano sample does not match the chord shown This would be for 9th intervals and higher from what I ve noticed potentially more Sometimes it sounds like more than one audio sample being played at the same time But it s definitely and obviously not what s notated             Chords T-REX128
As much as I miss the older version just a tad bit the app is still nice for me to use to practice and enhance my knowledge of scales chords key signatures and other necessities when it comes to music theory The only thing that I would suggest to improve this app would be in the Ear Training section for the scales I would really love that section more if it went up and down the scale instead of just going up and not even hitting the octave like in previous versions Going up and down the scale made it easier to identify it It s a lot harder to identify if you just hear it going up and only up Also the fact that the information button is gone in the sections now there is no separate section anymore that explains anything like in previous versions they had a little question mark icon that explained how to read notes or how to recognize a major from a minor etc I feel that by removing that beginner musicians would have quite a bit of trouble understanding some of the music theory involved in this useful app As a high school musician that has a lot of experience with music and is involved in many of the music programs at my school I would definitely recommend downloading this app if you need help learning to read notes recognize key signatures and much much more                     Wonderful app but has some flaws Riiandora
I am working on my ear training every day while commuting to work This app has become the main tool I am using It s definitely worth the money it costs                     Awesome app Love it Paddy K
I am an alum of USC s Jazz Studies program and am proud a fellow Trojan made this app I use it with my sax students all the time I especially love the ear training tempo section I m trying to become less dependent on drummers when counting off tunes As a suggestion Maybe you could do a random rhythm and or melodic sight reading section Like where an audio clip plays a short 1 or 2 bar passage and you have to pick the correct multiple choice notation and or rhythm that was played over audio That could be cool It could even extend to 3 or 4 bars Also you could do a Simon Says sort of section where the app plays 3 notes then you play it back plus 3 then it plays back your 6 notes and adds three then you have to play back it s 9 notes plus three etc That always really helped my ears You could even get a microphone algorithm so that people could sing into the mic instead of using the piano or a sax player like myself could play into it Also I would totally pay for extra content if it were reasonably priced an truly worth the money So many possibilities keep up the good work                     Yessss ewimanewi
pleasant surprise to see app devs removing in app purchases in my opinion                     good app happy abt recent upgrade Veer
This is my favorite game Granted Im a music major but I just love tightening up my skills and trying to beat others I do not play games as a whole Not even Words With Friends lol But this game is FUN and I keep returning to it I dont usually spend money for any app but this one is worth it Glad I spent the money The new format looks beautiful and I like that you can look ahead to the next note on the note names game If you are a music nerd and want more to a music app than learning middle C buy this app                 Love this app
Good app Stable aesthetic lots of options easy to customize definitely great for ear training                 Good app
All I get is this cancel or okay option Doesnt make sense please fix I like this app wish it worked properly           Settings are messed up
Whew After rolling the dice on several similar apps and finding that the developers wanted piccolo players to learn bass clef why not Chinese and Sanskrit too I found this app Covers every aspect of music and allows control of preferences X bass clef in my case Try this one first                 Great preference selection

I use this app often whenever I have some downtime Its a great way to stay fresh with ear training                 Great App
Ive been using this mostly for ear training and it works wonders Totally worth it for quizzing your ear and other musical knowledge                 Incredible app

Not entirely thrilled sometimes it wont play an entire track and cuts out early rather frustrating during ear training           Audio problem
Though the format of the app has visually improved it has lost its value by getting rid of the music theory review Before the app had review inside the app which was very useful for a quick review but now one must go to the website and watch videos PLEASE BRING BACK THE REVIEW IN THE APP Its much more convenient and helpful              Better before
The old version was soooo much better I hope Dr Clifft writes a new one soon The piano doesnt sound as good anymore Ear training scales used to do up and down the scales which is so much more helpful than just up Also found a typo in ear training Should say Phrygian but is missing the r And the graphics of the old one were better Wish I could revert to original version           peekaboopaige
Use it every day                 Great tool to keep
The app is great I just dont understand how the global scores work There are people in the millions plus range and I can only get in the 100 thousands point range on the 100 question test But i remember on the old version you used to be able to go up to 500 questions Is it because those people are still using the old version where you can go up to 500 questions                 Just wondering

Very helpful                 Great App
They just changed the App it is now different I liked the previous version better           Bass Player
I have been a music student and Music Theory student for many years This app is absolutely wonderful for sharpening a persons musical skills and knowledge It is enjoyable to use therefore I use it to stay sharp I am very glad to have this                 Music Theory app
This is definitely one of the greatest music theory apps available A must have for any music geek                 Fantastic
This app will help you get caught up on things that might be a struggle in your Theory I studies Has EVERYTHING you need and all levels of direction Scales intervals note identification chordingclassical jazz orchestralmajor and minoreven ear training exercises It helped IMMENSELY with my grades Its a MUST HAVE APP                 Excellent for new theory students

Great app for reinforcing your skills Ive been using it to practice key signatures and its been very helpful One small issue is that occasionally the correct answer will be dimmedout and unpressableforcing you to choose an incorrect answer Not really a big deal I definitely recommend this app for any serious musician                 Great way to drill yourself
The midi playback is now so low on my iPhone 4S speaker that I cant even hear anything at full volume I am bombarded with ads to buy jazz chords even though I have already paid for this app I have to scroll through possible answers instead of them being visible on the screen all at once Good idea to update but they need to correct these things And still where the heck are chord progression ear training tests     A step backwards
I used to LOVE this app I use the ear training all the time I do not however like the update I do not like that the app is now landscape so you have to scroll for everything and I especially do not like that I am asked to buy the jazz addon every time I open something This is a paid app I should not be asked to buy something while using it           Older was better
This app recently made an update that REMOVED features it originally had jazz chords scales which is why I bought it to begin with and recommended it to my music students Never again So frustrating to be told you have to pay extra for a feature you once had Any way to UNDO an update     BAD IDEA guys
Its a wonderfull tool to learn music theory                 Love it
Boring bad interface Read a book or get a different app or go to school Let this one go     Not worth your time or money
The one star is for immediate attention I think you guys should make the interactive keyboard 2 octaves long Especially for the note names section That is all When that is fixed I will repost with 5 stars     I actually love this app
Just reopened this app after a while Very nice after this last update Neat interface and nice layout Thought went into it Well done                 super app
This app is amazing for music theory It helps me not only keep up my knowledge but helps improves it The new update is GREAT Dr Clifft did a great job adding new customizations which helps any person at any level learn music theory                 Great music theory App
The stupid jazz add on ad is super annoying Its pop up all the time     Jazz add on
This app is by far the best iPadiPhone app Ive worked with There are others like Music Tutor but its only limited to just note naming Music Theory Pro is just like the name says its a pro at aiming towards teaching theory without a headache Provides a fun challenging way to learn all the aspects of theory Youve got everything from note naming to chord naming and ear training And its all broken down step by step so that once you master note naming you can move on to key signature naming Just the best app in my opinion and I highly recommend downloading it Cant wait for the midi compatibility for the Mac version Thank you                 Amazing Theory App
Ok I like to sing and I pretty much know the notes and all the treble clef anyway but until now the rest was pure piglatin to me Ive always wanted to know more about vocal harmonies and what makes them work so beautifully together but frankly I was intimidated Now Im not Im excited about learning and having fun at the same time This makes sense to me now and Im making progress even at my age I am actually learning this stuff now Im excited and Im hooked THIS IS TOO FUN              THIS IS TOO FUN
im using this every day and its very helpful thank you                 great app
Ive been through three versions The current is the best 15 minutes a day 5 days a week My music theory comprehension and speed has improved greatly I only wish this version retained the timed aspect of the previous version Being timed improves reaction for instrumentation purposes and allows you to measure improvement              Practiced for 5 months
I have read good bad reviews All I can say is it is very good I have learned a lot user feedback has led to updates THERE ARE NO INAPP purchases that you have to buy or unlockGET THE APPI have nothing to do with nor do U know the developer there are 2 great ones this is one                 Outstanding
As a musician who was formally a music major before switching this app works very well as a refresher and trainer Ive had a couple of theory courses so this is perfect for me If you are new to theory this will do only ok for you but youll probably want a book or website or another app to explain what all the symbols mean If they incorporate that idea into this app then it would be really great Either way download it                 Very very good for review
I have an iPhone 4S and the app wont play sound on it How am I supposed to do ear training with no freaking sound Fix this     No sound
This is a great app for learning key signatures intervals etc Its attractive and functional Unfortunately once youve gone through a drill it essentially forces you to post your name and score to leaderboards Im motivated by learning I have no desire to publish my scores win piddly condescending badges or be listed on leaderboards full of people who dont have the motivation to learn because they want skill Give me an option to turn off gamification and Ill go for five stars              Great for learning Dont force leader boards
The upgrade makes this app look nice but makes u pay for the jazz chords that were included originally im deleting this app     Upgrade makes u pay for jazz chords
On many of the jazz chords the piano sample does not match the chord shown This would be for 9th intervals and higher from what Ive noticed potentially more Sometimes it sounds like more than one audio sample being played at the same time But its definitely and obviously not whats notated           Chords
Music theory has been simplified so that anyone can learn it This will be like Provigil Modafinil a Nootropic for your talent Buy this now and youll be amazed LiveFearless                 Must Have App by the Creative Genius Artist
The new graphics interface isnt appealing It looks childish It USED to look elegant and professional And I paid for this app IF I want to make an inapp purchase I shouldnt be asked every time I want to use this app And the biggest problem is I need a refresher of whats what from time to time and a little information about whatever Im trying to learn about world be nice     Problems I have
At the risk of sounding like an old man 39 the staff is now too small Mostly the accidental within the staff are tough to make out clearly This was never an issue before I think you sacrificed function for style Also since the latest update the sound during ear training comes out the speaker of my phone even while plugged in to my headphones No other app on my phone has this issue No more private ear training on my daily commute to work Still a great app but may have slipped a bit backwards           Latest update hard to see Too small
Unfortunately this app is completely silent on my iPhone 4S os6 I tried rebooting and double checked my speaker level NO SOUND     Silent
Makes for excellent review of your music theory knowledge It can become a fun game to pass time too                 Solid
All of us could use a little more ear training I teach composition at a university and our faculty have been using this app challenging each other to beat our high scores If you want to sharpen your skills no matter what your level this is the way to do it                 great way to practice
One star because I have been waiting for an update for a year I love this app But I am not motivated to use it much It could be so much more How about levels and progress charts and achievement records How about a visual map to show progress like on some of the addicting iPad games What makes Candy crush so addicting Its the levels and visual sense of progress Also this app has so much more potential Chord inversions chord progressions relative pitch perfect pitch keychord relationships instrument timbre recognition texture identification Add some of these ideas and make it fun addicting to play and youll be my favorite app     Would be great if it were a little more fun
Be ready to be thrown into a timed quiz Make sure to have some knowledge about notes chords and intervals           Not what I thought
