This app used to be just fine but over the last few weeks it has started nagging me for a review every time I opened it so I wrote a first review to get it off my back and now with each continuing request have given it one less star Now adds a follow me for its twitter page and some other app to the still persistent nagging for a review Down to one star its a real shame     Getting worse

Good app for a diary A bit annoying that every time I go to use it it constantly asks if I want to follow on twitter or upgrade to HD version or rate the app I paid for this app why would I want to upgrade to another version Hopefully now that I have rated this app I hope that it discontinues the constant barrage of popups when I open the app              Good but stop asking to rate

OK so Ive been waiting forever for Momento to come out with a Journal for the iPad since I first purchased that app for my iPhone and since bought an iPad So a couple of days ago I thought Id give My Own Diary a try and very pleased with it It does close for no reason here and there but the features are great Im very happy with the product They even have a recorder in the app to take down a voice memo or whatever other sounds in the vicinity of your iPad The other feature that I really like is the ability to have multiple Journals That way you can separate all your different moments in your life and record them separately The ability to add pictures your mood that day and location map are all nice features I like the way the app looks for the most part and the ability to export to PDF is an added touch Enjoy it                 Much better than Momento who keeps saying theyll make an iPad app but havent

Appears to now be working finethanks for the speedy bug fixes looking forward to iCloud support                 update issues

Just updated to 231 Thanks for the quick updates Please consider the following The app could use more editing tools like underlining and bold etc Would be nice to see the date at the top of each page for same day entries that span multiple pages I have the new iPad           Great App But

I dont know what these other reviewers have experienced but Im loving this app Im back into journalist for the first time in years and its due to the ease and comfort of the app I havent had it crash on me and I am on an iPad3 I find the look wonderfully familiar Its like carrying around an old leather bound field book to jot random thoughts in and thats just what I do with it The addition of being able to include pics is wonderful I can tuck in post cards when traveling shots of friends from parties and events and collect bits of artwork or articles with just a camera shot directly on my iPad This was the journal app I was looking for Maybe the others should just keep looking                 Feels like a journal works like a journal

Its a complete garbage Dont waste your money A constantly crashing app After you add a recording to a dairy entry you cant delete it if you need to Maps work only while the app is online No correct names of places Poor export functions Why to add some functionality like adding a recording if its not possible to export it to the pdf file     Waste of money

As has been said by others before me Im getiing tired of the three pop ups every time I open the app Otherwise I like the app and it functions nicely with no crash history on my iPad The only feature I would like to see improved is the search function Instead of a list of all entries you have to scroll through would it be possible to show a calender view That way I can jump to particular dates easier           Tired of Pop Ups

Enjoying this App It is beautifully designed I reviewed other diary App and decided on this HD App There is also a iPhone App so can transfer my diary to other devices via Dropbox It allows search of diary entry Diary entry allows multiple pictures only one appears on each page but when tap pic other pics can be scrolled to view multiple audio recordings and map location When you sync with iTune in computer it is backed up and can generate PDF copy for file sharing I used this beautiful diary App as my travel journal You can change title of your diary and create multiple diary books There is extra purchase charge 099 for a different design of diary This App is perfect for me Thank you App maker                 My Own Diary

Like this program a lot but really agree with the others that it needs a time stamp function              Needs time stamp

This app was the closest thing I could find to what I was looking for Some features were difficult to figure out but once you do it is great Once you type your journal and save it the layout becomes like a book you can reread it in very nice handwriting like fonts that makes it FEEL like a journal You can the add pictures maps and audio clips to the pages so your memories flow like they should And if you need to add to the entry or edit something you just double tap and you can change what you need to I do wish I had more options to choose the look of the cover It is very nice but I had to create several journals just to find a cover I liked and go back and delete the others after I chose one A few more colors and page stamps wouldnt hurt either If you are looking for a journal app that doesnt feel like a web page or the notes app built in this is the one you are looking for              Feels like a real book

This is the first diarytype app Ive purchased though I have quite a few other writing apps Storyist Pages A Novel Idea Outline Pro GoodNotes and I tried Paper for sketchjournal type stuff but I wanted something of a more journaltype layout Heres a rundown of features so far PROS Allows multiple journals Different skins Several handwritingtype fonts to choose from Intuitive interface Password protection for each individual journal Easily link and uploaddownload to Dropbox Adding pics to an entry is a breeze and can be done by camera or photo album CONS You are REQUIRED to password protect each individual journal not just one password for the whole program I suppose if you share a device with others this is OK but it would be nice to have the option to disable it If you change the font in one book apparently you change it for ALL of them Is this a bug Cant change font stylesno bold italics or underline The screen caps look like you can zoom out to view all journals on one page which is nice for selecting them if you keep several journals for different purposes but you actually have to swipe to see them individually Seems like it would be easy for the developers to fix this Inapp tutorial but once you click to get rid of it I havent figured out a way to see it again ConstantlyCONSTANTLYbugs you to sign up for their newsletter You can have multiple pics in an entry but they stack so you can only view one at a time and you have to swipe to see the others You cant reorder them either so whichever the last one you installed is the one youll see by default in the entry All in all the interface is nicelooking and its pretty easy to use but wish thered been a trial version to download before blowing 4 on it           Not bad but lacks a few things

Was the best app I have purchased since owning my ipad but today tried opening my journals and the app is crashing Hope there is a fix soon        WAS ENJOYING

I usually dont write reviews unless the app is extremely useful but I had to warn others about this crAPP So I wanted a good journaldiary app and after debating about a few of them I thought that since this app costs so much it must be a really good one I was WRONG The app is very unstable on The New IPad iPad 3rd generation It keeps crashing out of random seriously Is that the crap we get for the high price tag and some features make it crash too Please save your money people and look elsewhere I dont know what other app is good but this defiantly isnt it It is really underdeveloped and the price tag is ridiculous for a BETA quality app Will remove this rating when it gets fixed        DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I looked at 5 or 6 of the journal programs and played with them all This is by far the best Ive seen no bugs at all after using it for a month One of my favorite features is the picture function One can put multiple pics on each page one showing up as a clipped pic and click on it to see it in full resolution I used it to go back over the past year and the date was easy to change Also very nice aesthetically with the look of the book and the ability to change fonts                 Really Great

I bought this app when it was first released and was very exited but after the first update things started going wrong As I read the latest reviews over a year later the same problems are still occurring and have not been fixed It is too bad that the developer had such a great idea but has not developed and perfected it I have lost so much important info because the backup on this app does not work I am sure many others have also The developer has fallen short very very short I suggest that he get busy and fix the bugs or take this App out of the App Store and quit stealing peoples money     Great Potential but Very Dissapointed

So this is by far the prettiest journal app I have used and there are so many fun things like watermarks maps and audio files However there are just as many things that drive me crazy For example you are required to have a password I think it is an important option but it should be an option not a requirement for people like me who dont want one My biggest complaints are about exporting however I cannot get it to properly work with Dropbox so I have made PDFs to mail to myself The PDFs only allow you see one photo per entry and take off the map If there was a way to export so you could see all the pictures and take off the password requirement this would get five stars and be the only journal app I ever used           Want to love it but

Looked across all the journal apps in the store and settled on this one I wanted a journal that looked like a journal check I wanted one with photos moods location custom fonts voice memos and a pass code check Search capability check This even gives you six different themes to choose from although the app only comes with one other themes are 99 each which is a steal I love how the location map looks like a clipping from an old map on the page would be great if the writing wrapped around the map would look better and save space A few things I would like to see some new fonts preferably elegant script fonts I love the old world style of the default theme but none of the current fonts really go with it It would also be nice to add icons to indicate the weather and maybe the ability to add doodles or drawings Its a great journaling app and Dropbox and iCloud compatible Nice job devs Surprised there are not other reviews Will spread the word                 Classic Journal With Options

Kind of mad I updated it and then it wouldnt load at all kept closing Did that for a while so I decided to delete the app and redownload it well that deleted my whole entire old diary and no way of getting it back So if u could figure out why it would never load in the first place that would be great And a lot of us still have the iPad 2 The first one can u make sure that it will still let us use our current diary if future updates are near And if there is any way of having our diaries in backup some how so we never loose them would be great Its an amazing app and exactly what I have always wanted Im just upset I lost my first diary                 New version

At first I really liked this app even tho its a little awkward in its design THEN it started bugging me for a review every time I opened it This app has real promise if the STUPID dev gets rid of the nag pop up How tacky     Would be ok BUT

This is a nice and simple journal Its pretty to look at Yes some stationary would be nice and the option to attach more than one picture to an entry would be nice Other than this two things It does what it promises and it keeps my entries private              nice and simple

This app seems to have a great deal of functionality I would like to ability to edit dates Sometimes I dont get to make an entry till the next day and I cant bring up the correct date              Dear Diary

I love this app Multiple fonts multiple diaries and the over all appearance is fantastic The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because there is no app for my iMac Please Please come out with a Mac version to sync with I would buy it immediately              Best Journal App Available

Wish I could have been able to try this app before purchasing Yes you can change themes for an UP CHARGE Theres no way to flip back and forth from different dates unless you scroll through each entry Tedious Hopefully youll see this review and take a pass on the app I wish I would passed     Dont bother

Note My second review was my final revision the first review to my dismay was shown The way this system works were only allowed to type one review and if we revise it It replaces the previous one we submitted Normally the review shown by one person is suppose to show up once and not more regardless how many times they revised it Example if we revise four times in the course of one week The number of reviews from that same person would only show one but their reviews would have changed four times consecutively over that week Ultimately the review by any individual is only one you would not see four reviews by the same person and what normally gets published is always your lastest revision I have to conclude this is a glitch at iTunes For some reason if the system has corrected itself and let say deleted the other two revisions and now only shows my latest and current review which is this one wait for the next update this version 232 is buggy and crashes Save your money or buy another application instead     Aesthetic design has flaws

I want to love this app It is exactly what I need from both a form and function standpoint Almost To get a 5 star rating improvements are needed 1 The photo feature is frustrating Cropping and resizing has no effect on the displayed thumbnail or enlargement Deleting an image works sometimes but often not Be very careful when selecting images as you may be stuck with them unless you delete the post and start over 2 The entries do not often refresh in real time The old content stays visible until you exit the page and reenter L 3 The developers are not active in responding to forum entries or messages left on their site I worry about their commitment to the product           Terrific but Frustrating

Hesitant to buy because of some bad reviews but Im glad I did The spell check is one of the best that Ive seen so intuitive Helps me keep going with my thoughts and can keep up word for word The ability to download pictures is incredible I have a picture for every entry So far I have two journals going one for professional notes and one to follow my weight loss journey They look completely different A pleasure to use                 I like it

After reviewing all the journaling apps I chose this one What a mistake I wrote a long entry left the app for a while and when I went back to the app it was UNLOCKED Totally unacceptable Why was my entry not locked when I closed the app If I could give this zero stars I would I want a refund     Awful

The program for my purpose is a great system while I dont use the Dropbox feature so I cant not speak to that function I wanted a program that allowed me to write my thoughts down and let me track where I was what mood etc For this purpose the program has met my expectations and in some ways inspired me to write more It appearance is good and clean and functions correctly in fact I have never encounter a error or a crash yet which seems to be norm in so my apps this day Things I would like to see added Weather data ie separate icon feature snow sun rain More status icons for moods Better graphic locations for icon placement itself Again I think this is a solid app that is great for journling could use some additional journaling features for serious jornalers              Good Basic Journal

Purchased app last year now when I go to write in diary that came with the app It is no where to be found Very irritating        Missing Diary

Split keyboard doesnt work for password in landscape must use portrait The maps location name is not saved it saves a default name ending with Baja If pic added the text around it adds an extra line breaking a sentence It would be nice to be able to change font to script Nice app needs work        Bugs

Nothing like the iPhone version which looks awesome but still needs some tweaks iPad version has no calender view and looks nothing like the iPhone version which has nice page turn ribbonto tuck photos etc and nice sidebar to reach icons iPad version is looks and feels lousy They can make this App great if they make it like the iPhone version add more features and fix the bugs Also dropbox backup didnt tranfer photos and auido clips And instead of backup it should be auto sync like in Day One app and Momonote app But this app has great potential as there still isnt a decent Journaling app both for iPhone and iPad Day one and momonote come close But this app seems to be heading in the right direction with its iPhone version atleast     Lots of potential
