Have used this since early summer 2010 Ability to collect and organize photos and write descriptive text on or offline is nice The new Dropbox integration is appreciated Have had some trouble with app stuttering when working with photos lately Got immediate response from developer Tony he is working on this Memory issues with iPad seems to be at play I have confidence developer will solve it           Has good potential

Unfortunately do to the back button issue I was unable to take advantage of this app on a recent trip I had my screen locked in portrait and didnt think to change to landscape The developer was responsive to my questions and has in fact corrected the problem Encouraging              Good support

DO NOT BUY OR TRUST THIS APP Bought this app for my iPad and thought it was greatat first Every day of my vacation I journaled in the travelogue and uploaded pictures Everything was fine On the fourth day I opened the app to add another entry and discovered that the entire trip all of my entries and all attached pics had COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED It was if I had just downloaded the app The slate had been wiped clean Seriously disappointing Lots of details in my travelogue gone forever AGAIN DONT BUY OR TRUST THIS APP     Lost everything

I wanted to like this app but it crashes if open the demo It crashes if you open your own journal It consistently crashes while you are trying to create a new journal and it is not intuitive I would give it a negative star if negative stars were part of the rating scale Instructions that made sense would be nice     Crashes all of the time

I absolutely loved this app until the last updates now it does not work properly Why did they ruin a great thing You can still load photos but you cant write your journal at all I have many vacation memories over the past couple of years and now I cant write any more Please fix this app or should I say restore it back to how it was 3 months ago when I wrote my last journal with photos Id appreciate it if this could work again as I loved it     Once was Great

I have been using this app for two years now I have tried at least 7 other trip journaling apps and none are as easy to use as this app The app does everything a traveler who keeps accurate journals needs it to do I am a frequent traveler as much as 2 weeks out of a month I am also a photographer I have been able to write in the journal while on the plane in airplane mode I have been able to import my favorite travel photos I have been able to pinpoint my location on maps at any given time I can even go back and add locations that I missed after the fact The minor money spent for this app is completely worth it Why forget about those travel moments Once you purchase the app you can download it to your iPhone iPads etc to journal anywhere you are at any given moment Why wait Start journaling your memories                 Easy App for Travel Journaling

Journal wont let me type     Not good

This app may have potential but it is one of the most confusing and least intuitive apps I have ever experienced It has a kind of rigidity that is very frustrating with computer programs It is also very buggy and crashes often Needs serious work     Confusing

Photos do not load properly and appear as blank images otherwise the app is easy to use and shows off my trip nicely Maybe the next version will be fixed           Great concept but buggy

The price of the app belies the sophistication and scope of the application This is also a visually attractive application FileMaker should have a look at this app to see what is blatantly missing in Bento I was initially attracted to the app when looking for an app with trip planning features the app does have modest planning features but its main selling point is that it works well as a trip blogging app allowing uploads to Facebook etc The feature set is rich although access to those features is not as intuitive as it could and should be the author will want to polish the inapp navigation as the program matures this is only version 1 For example using a back button is confusing to a new user who may not remember where heshe has been in a prior step Additionally whereas sequential navigational steps in an app can create organization they are not necessarily the most efficient Subsequently new users will want and need to spend significant time exploring the app to appreciate the apps functions and its potential the time spent will be worthwhile There are a few quirky things bugs I think that need the programmers attention For example entering trip dates is done by touchdrag on a calendar very attractive Repeatedly selecting multiple days always included a day prior to my selection and lost the last day of the selection I corrected the issue by shifting my selection to compensate Although not as flexible for blogging as Apples iWeb which is not yet available for mobile devices this is a very nice app I would like to see the ability to upload to MobileMe in a future version              Sophistication beyond it

Im keeping a daily journal using this app and its great Veery simple way to keep track on a long trip It will be great to be able to show our trip journal to people as soon as we get home Ive sent epostcards from the site which are great Please fix the way we caption each photo If I upload several pictures and write a caption for one then go to the next photo the caption wont save Ive accidentally discovered that the only way to save is to write a caption then click on Add more photos              Enjoying this

Latest version and now I cannot add or take any photos Dialog box says Loading Hope to have this fixed soon           Cant add photos

I bought this app to chronicle a big trip overseas First four days the app worked reasonably well but with glitches and crashes It finally crashed on the fourth day and will not open now I had to find another app and catch up The new app has worked flawlessly I switched to Travel Pod and would recommend it Besides it is free and has a web based component that you can use via a web browser     Do not buy

Its getting closer with version up Especially good for iPad 2 Easy and informative              Good travel dialogue

I purchased this app to plan a trip to Hawaii I like that it allows me to add several events for each day along with accompanying photos and maps Iwas billed as being used to plan for future trips as well as create a travel journal for past trips its funtions might be better for past vs future Why only 3 stars heres what it missing Ability to rearrange each days events or move events from one day to another If I decide I want to hike on Tues instead of Wed I have to delete Tuess plan and wed s plans then recreate each day Should allow drag and drop to rearrange No Ability to add hyperlinks to reference info on other sites I found a couple of surf board rental places and would like to add thier web sites links to my planning for that day No Ability to add a time of day to the events If the luau starts at 7pm and i am planning activities would like to be able to add a start time and end time so that I know howlongIhave to spend in one location where I need to be next and give my self time to get there No Ability to add travel dirrections I would like to see a seperate location inthe apps to keep track of how to get from point a to point b with transit time Maybe they could partner with Mapquest           Not perfect but the best available

I really like this app and have used it during a trip last year It does tend to crash when the data gets bigger We had a 350 day trip and after about 100 days we needed to create a new trip because the app started crashing constantly Nice feature would be to load the Google maps data for a certain country so you dont need internet all the time to track your trip           Nice app but still crashes

We my family purchased this while on vacation as a way to store our memories We tried to use it and realized it was not user friendly I am a computer programmer and could not believe the writers of this app did this We downloaded Mac Journal instead and will try this app Very sad and we felt like we threw down the drain        Waste of money

This app in itself looks quite cool It would be nice if towns which can not be found by the app search could be placed manually onto the map such as not to lose any waypoints But the big problem currently is that I am not able to send from the iPhone 4 to the iPad shortly after entering the requested passcode it will close the connection and then crash either the iPad or the iPhone sometimes both I was able to transfer a single test vacation with no content only a set date range but when I tried open it on the iPad the iPad would crash The iPad version in general is pretty crash prone currently Ive lost at first a whole slew of entered locations like that So you will need to make sure to quit the app frequently or to click DONE to get out of edit mode and to trigger an auto save as often as possible But it has a lot of potential I do hope the sync problem will be handled soon as we are leaving on an important trip in only a few days update Overall I really love it Things which should be improved The currency uses GBP as a base but I use USD One needs to be able to change that One ought to be able to add ones own bookmarks not only from places one has navigated from clicking onto links but also by typing it For example I want hotelscom but can not add it It would be helpful if one could import a list to the todo section eg from an email an attachment or so A simple line by line list or a tab del list           Some good some bad sync crashes

We have absolutely loved using this application for documenting our vacations There are only two recommendations I have for further updates on this program First I would like to see a more integrated system within each day to add events or places you plan on going to each day For example on Day 1 if we plan on making multiple stops it would be nice to not have to add twenty locations to the main page and just be able to add them to the Day Log Second If you were able to add a map that actually plans your route like google maps instead of just showing the dots on the map it would be very helpful If those two things could be added this app would have 5 stars for sure              Love love love

This app does a great job of capturing travel details I needed an app that can export and this one does a great job The travelogue page is a great format for export The maps are a nice bonus Im just getting started using the app but so far am very pleased the price is a great bargain for the functionality included One tiny wish list item would be a way to store flight data with the trip You can add a note but a dedicated import screen with a drop down for airline names date picker for flight dates etc would be great                 Near perfect travel journal
