so i downloaded this because it says google talk has been discontinued Ive got miced emotions about this because while i do love the interface between the phone and my mac it has some major flaws 1 sometimes the text that is bieng sent from either the phone or my mac will not show up 2 their is a lag in the text 3 it wont let you reply like from the notifications without having to pull up the entire message window Pros 1 it will allow you to customize a ring tone for each individual on your phone for the messages 2 its easy to use but the problems is the gap in your conversations from the missing text             Mysms GothikHellgerl

There was always an issue where texts I send on my phone do not consistently pull through to the desktop app but now texts don t even show up on my computer The notification bubbles also stay after you ve checked a message This didn t used to be the case Garbage app and I can t wait for my year s subscription to their service to end I ve heard better things about Pushbullet or whatever Go check that out before getting sucked into throwing away 0 year     Worked okay then they fixed something APPSMAKEMEMAD

I got this app so I could send text messages from my desktop Mac I installed it But I can t use it because I don t have a phone That was the reason I got it in the first place because I want to use my desktop computer to send text messages This app is useless to me     waste of time sheryl's bk

I ve been using this app since more than a year ago I am constantly on my phone for work and it was great to be able to text from my macbook without having to pickup my phone everytime Started using this app and really loved it Simple easy to use straight forward interface for sms and mms no extra features that I don t need 6 months in paid for the subscription so I can get rid of the ads Less than 6 months in from that the mac app basically stopped working Outgoing messages got stuck sending incoming messages didn t sync Tried uninstalling from both mac and phone reinstalled even tried the chrome extension and still stuck with the same problem The android app is up to version 6 4 7 last updated May 2017 but the mac App Store version is 3 8 last updated in 2015 Not sure what the problem is but all of them need to be upgraded with the bugs fixed     great app until it stopped working sammi1162

First if you want desktop sms in a standalone client and not a chrome app this is one of your few choices It does what it says when you have premium syncing across devices of all types the ability to send and receive without need for your phone For those features I have been very happy with it It does not require anyone else to have this program if you enable it as your sms provider Having said all of this I am not sure how much longer I can really be a member The app has not seen an update in nearly a year and a half I have reported a number of bugs that have gone unaddressed As many hate stated the look is dated and with no options for a dark theme and clearly no horizon for that being added I am getting tired of eye fatigue There are dozens of players in the space or entering the space quickly so to be this stale for this long and just collect the paycheck is rather sad As a software developer myself it pains me to see a company back burner a good product I dont know the reasons but it was really the only thing keeping me with mysms as the phone client is identical to any other sms replacement out there Time I guess will tell if they can update their products or sink with them             After more than a year of use Techo junky

I bought premium service and have had it over a year and it hasn t worked since December 2015 they charged me again and I still have not gotten a response from them It worked great when it worked but I m not sure why or what happen so please think twice about installing because if there s a problem you won t get a response at least I haven t paid for a app and haven t been able to use it since last December There are other app s that offer same services and developers that value there customers concerns and at least respond within a timely manner to customer technical issues This could explain why they have a rating low in my opinion         Paid for Premium Service Not working GiggleAppBuyer

I use this daily to send texts from my computer and it s great when it works It has two frustrating problems though 1 The unread message badge frequently shows a 1 even when I have clicked on each message to read it Closing the app and reloading it doesn t fix the problem 2 When I connect to a VPN the app crashes It s understandable if it doesn t work over VPN but it s embarassing that it crashes rather than displaying a message stating that it won t work over VPN These issues really ought to be fixed since they ve existed for all versions of the app that I ve used I ve been using the app about a year             Useful app plagued by counting issues Dan365

Have been using this app for a few months I have a macbook and a droid phone and this works very well with both I saw a review that says the recipient of the texts needs to have this app That is not true at all I use this all the time for all of my contacts and I know for a fact that the ones I text the most do not have this app I have had to log back on it a couple of times which is not a problem Otherwise it works great                     Great App Ohio Valley native

For people having problems I solved mine but setting mysms as my default texting app on my phone and sending a few texts that way They went through and then I switched my default texting app back to Hangouts and so far the web app and chrome extension app are still working I guess it needs mysms as the default at first to establish a connection             First need to set mySms as default then you can switch back firefoxer26

There are definitely problems with this new version 1 The display breaks words apart so it s hard to proof read my message before I send it 2 I ll be typing when suddenly characters start forming at the beginning of my message I m not sure WHY this happens My best guess is that I ve reached the end of my allowed number of characters except that it s still typing characters it s just putting them all at the beginning of my message one character per line 3 When I get a group text I can t tell who is sending what message 4 When replying to group message I can t reply to the sender privately Everyone gets the message             Problems ZemirahJoy33

This app works very well indeed for what it s designed to do connect your non iOS phone SMS messaging to your Mac All my SMS messages from my phone now show up both on my Mac and on my iPad where I can copy and paste them to my heart s content I can send texts using my Mac and have them delievered via my phone I get notices about my phone ringing even                     Works great Drag0nSilver
