Good app Would reccommend                 Topo

The app is okay I feel that it need some more markers for hunting Instead I wind up using the same markers on my saved maps for different rubs or scraps Plus updated aerial maps would be great           Okay app

This App is horrible you can get much newer aerial maps free on Bing Google or Yahoo I would tap no star to rate but the rating makes you tap at least one star     Do not buy

This app works great when its working Sometime you can download maps into the map pack and there are days you can not Great app and very useful when going 4wd but I need to have the info so we do not get lost in the middle of no where Tanks for the help           It work once before Fix it

For lots of uses this is a really handy app Looking for a mountain property and it has all the overlays and data needed when its otherwise tough to get info Also using it for hunting planning A great app particularly with the paid data subscription                 Great mapping and GIS app

For us old guys that still use a compass and walk in a straight line without GPS this is a great app              Good stuff

Now it wont even initialize even after restarting iPad This an iPad 2 running 601 Now it has 5 stars delete and reinstall it to get it to work Annoying but easy to do Now that it has been restored I like the app The maps are good and the concept of using online maps works reasonably well it is easy to resize and learning how to use the tools is fairly simple The elite membership is optional and I am considering it                 Worked fine until nov 29 update it works by DELETE REINSTALL

This is a great app works well with my iPad and iPhone syncs well and immediately cant wait to get elite                 Trimble outdoors pro

Use this app in the field Set flags in real world as part of Wetland Delineation Then set points in iPad on aerial photo with notes Beautiful and professional looking mapwork to email to the client And I have a great map with notes for report Have other mapping programs but this one is my go to app                 Great Mapping App

The good built in compass love being able to overlay topographic maps with aerial maps slider feature to adjust overlay is a nice touch nice being able to view maps offline The bad crashes frequently on my ipad At this moment I cannot even get the app to launch Normally this would make the app a onestar or zerostar item There was an update one week ago Nov12th so I think itll get fixed in the near future offline maps have a size limit The Opportunities consider offering distances in yards with the ruler enable multiple points to be selected when measuring distances offer different aerials to choose from eg Google not just Bing When the bugs crashes and failure to launch gets fixed this could easily become a 5star app           App with great potential

Would be nice if you could download the maps after purchasing the elite download     Problems

I love the app and also like the selection of maps Yes the Topo maps are out of date however some of that detail is not found anywhere else I know this is intended as a companion app to the handheld version however I would still like to see the ability to create a track from this app too as I also use it for in car offroad navigation                 Great app and maps

Great app for getting and downloading maps to be able to look at when you are off the grid works right along with Trimble outdoor navigator off your iPhone it syncs from your iPhone to your iPad maps pro Thanks for a great product                 Off line maps

Could be great but after an entire year we finally get an update and all of the bugs and clunkypoorly thought out features of the prior version are still there Trimble Outdoor should either support this product properly or abandon the category Their vision is great but the execution very poor I had high hopes that they would fix all this issues but Im sorely disappointed There are better outdoor mapping apps use one of them instead     Worthless update

It would be great if the app could be upgraded to include navigation charts for inland waterways and lakes for fishing                 Add inland lake charts

I have used this app for some time and I thought it was so good that I decided to join the Elite subscription Well I paid for the subscription and have not been able to download a map pack since Tech support is basically non existent Sure I get a reply but not action It always the same thing lets try this I didnt pay 30 bucks to help debug the application Jim Black     Junk and Little Support

this app crashes all the times Not even able to launch           Very disappointed

It shows what I want to see but it seems slow Perhaps that is operator related Perhaps not I use it only occasionally I can adjust           Seems sluggish

Downloaded for iPad due to GPS Hunt Trimble not available for iPad Elite membership purchased offline maps download to iPhone Trimble GPS Hunt but not iPad this app App keeps repositioning the map to Africa even though my location shows up correctly in the US Cant figure out how to manually add waypoints or download file from Trimble GPS Hunt Fish website So far this app is useless to me I need a manual or a reply to my email     So far I hate it

This product as excellent functions but the complexity of downloading topos for off line viewing isnt too good as of the current version Also there may be a way to incorporate historical maps from downloads but that process isnt immediately clear if it exists These things take time to work out especially given the fact that iTunes would have to be used for just about any apps available from iTunes I havent tried the Bad Elf or other GPS receiver with this product but hopefully that is a feature included o available from Trimble           Excellent graphics but off line storage process is awkward at best

A bit cumbersome to download maps but the only people doing it on a scale we can us for search and rescue in the field Thank you Trimble your way ahead of Garmin                 Thank you

I like this app but I wish the distance tool was more trail accurate instead of Point A to Point B Ive ordered one map and the quality is great and the shipping was VERY fast              Good app

I spent weeks marking deer trails hunting stands taking photos and loading all the information and paid for the elite member ship so I could synch with my ipad I phone etc and then and up date erased all my stuff and it dont even show I have an elite membership now either Thanks for taking my time and money and giving me nothing in return Great waste all the way around     Waste of time and money

I bought the pro version after one update the program no longer works Each time the app starts but stops loading and crashes I sent an email to the main website almost a month ago asking for help that has not been answered It was great while it worked dont know what went wrong or why they wont provide any support     Crash Crash Crash

Easy to use and works great with the GPS on my iPhone I find hidden lakes on satellite photos mark them and then go to them on topos I have downloaded                 Great

Couldnt get it to start up Deleted and reinstalled and now it sort of works Trying to store maps and it repeatedly crashes        Not So Good

The maps are easy to pull down and tracking works well I use the app on my iphone in the field and have no problems The issue is getting the data from the iphone to the ipad It works sometimes and doesnt at other times All in all it is worth it              Works ok but its quirky

This is an incredible tool for learning a new area both woods or waterways The ability to sync between topo and navigator is awesome This is superior to high dollar hardware devices I absolutely love it Their tech support is great and quick to respond                 customer

This App has promise just dont join the Elite service It doesnt work The offshore support staff will work your tail off to fix it but not actually do anything on their end Its broken Fix it I have a series of annoying emails to prove it     Dont Join Elite

Planning trips and perusing maps on the retina screen of the new iPad is great The clarity and detail of the maps is beautiful and more fun than looking at a smaller phone screen The Elite subscription hasnt given me the trouble that others reviewers mention In fact for 30 a year it seems like a great deal for all the maps that you gain access to                 Nice Maps on Big Screen

Off line maps are a joke Topo map server is a joke I had idleup that was faster The software crashes a lot     Needs work

Neat program I wish I could focus closer in maps If I focus close in satellite then its too close for the topo so the screen goes blank I have to focus OUT to get it back Also the layers bleed thru even when I have Layers turned off Will be really good when they get it tweaked a little more           Topo pro

Like others have said its very very hard to get maps Thankfully I havent yet joined Elite and likely wont until all the existing problems are fixed The maps themselves are awesome when you can get them but their network is very very slow and frequently maps wont load Downloading them is painful The downloads stop the moment the screen blanks or you switch away from the app so you have to babysit it Not recommended until these problems are fixed     Could be great

The plus easier to use than handheld Trimble viewing of the maps layering of other content is a breeze plotting POI is also easy The downside offline maps reviewed better by others media handling photos not auto saved to camera roll AND if not manually exported are lost in app purchase options and pricing seemed need to be revamped and fine tuned I purchased this app back in September 2012 for field work at Mono Lake CA the app worked well enough for plotting POI on some very old topo maps Since most of the work was ground truthing it was no problem knowing where I was at all times A few days ago I tried using this app again on a drive by shooting of road cuts and outcrops Since all the data gathering was done from a moving vehicle the user interface proved very limiting I needed to photo document the location of outcropsroad cuts and worked with the Notability app to voice record photograph and type the geologists description Plotting the POIs in the Trimble app was easy but the photo documentation aka media recording was an EPIC FAIL The user interface required clicking on a icon to drag and place a POI To add data to the POI an additional icon needed to be selected after the POI was plotted on the map This brought up a description window which only gave the option to add a title To add a more detailed description the POI needed to be selected from a cryptic menu window in the media section not in poi section and then an option to edit had to be selected After enough attempts it was less confusing to use and the option of adding a picture seemed like a welcomed addition The most horrific problem is that the photo option labeled media is poorly thought out and atrociously executed The photo media option is not readily accessible like in Theodolite To take a photo the user is required to navigate several other required data recording hurdles Plotting poi selecting the poi from the POI list selecting the edit icon selecting the media icon Sadly the photo is not saved to the camera roll and to do so requires exporting the media in a separate series of actions So if the iPad goes to sleep the POIs are saved but the media photos is forever lost Dear Trimble PLEASE add a camera icon on the main window and have the default save location be the camera roll Additionally please have the default action for the camera icon result in the auto creation of a poi on the map For photo documenting your location I can only recommend Theodolite at this time For basic plotting this is an easy app to use           Easy to use with other apps

Worked flawlessly on my Apple devices with on and offline maps until the supposed upgrade around the end of 2014 Has not be usable since Changed without notification to me and it lost all the offline maps I had laboriously downloaded and installed through iTunes I have deleted and reloaded it as days have passed but to no avail     Does not work anymore

It is difficult to get good maps loaded Using elite they must be downloaded from the web and imported to iTunes Because it is difficult to get the good maps I use it infrequentlyand just learned all my previously downloaded maps have timed out Each time I come back there is another inapp purchase required to get something to work The app looks promising but in the end is always frustrating I much prefer Gaia        Has promise but
