App Positives 1 After logging in I can see a list off all the domain names I own 2 I can search for available domain names and purchase them App Negatives 1 I cannot manage individual domains In a web browser I can manage auto renewal for each domain independently from others However when using the app changing the auto renew option for one domain name changes it for all of my domain names e g In the app turning off auto renew for one domain name will turn it off for all domain names in my account 2 When I last made a purchase I wasn t shown or given any option for WhoIs protection 3 I cannot see my account balance from within the app Company Positives 1 Decent rates 2 Quick response to Live Chat requests 3 Representatives are well spoken patient and respectful From a Namecheap customer SoftwareEngineer

I am now locked out of my account because recaptcha is not working correctly Keeps saying I m not selecting all the right tiles with cars street signs etc and I m in the middle of trying to do something important Luckily I am not losing money but I know if IT admins where this could cost their company tens of thousands in damages because of a DNS emergency that couldn t be resolved for 24 hours This is not okay and needs to be resolved ASAP Locked out of account cllcomputers
I just wanted to be able to track and check on my domain names When I launch the app it said in order for me to login without using captcha I would have to change my password why After selecting to do the captcha just so I can check my domains I got stuck in a loop of trying to identify street signs for about five minutes It would never let me go forwards After reading the negative reviews about the two factor authentication I was not about to go to there over fear of getting locked out of my account Using the web site in mobile Safari is no better How do you log into this espressotime

I tried to add my American Express card to my account via the app but the app doesn t recognize cvv codes that are 4 numbers long CVV input is broken gchdrake
Instead of supporting the industry standard of TOTP used e g by Google Authenticator Namecheap had to be a special snow flake and forces you to install their own app if you want to use 2FA To make matters even worse there is no way to backup the 2FA secret so if you lose your phone you will be locked out of your account Namecheap please implement the industry standard for 2FA TOTP Namecheap has to be a special snow flake UserPickedUniformlyAtRandom
Don t use their app Use SMS 2fa because this app is horrible To login you ll have to do enough captchas to make you want to vomit Then if the password is wrong do it again and again Why not use a popular standard for 2fa code generation than to push an app that you aren t even sane enough to design well I m all for namecheap but I ll never use their app Too many captcha bad 2fa MMOHQ

It looks nice but as another reviewer noted renewals do not get completed Theres a confirmation screen but it doesnt complete the transaction I ended up having to do it online defeating the purpose of the app Its kind of functional

I remember we used to be able to really manage our domains Unfortunately if you own more about 10 domains not all of them will show up when hit the gear icon Registering and searching for domains has great functionality but for management of domains the old app did a much better job I do like the look and feel of the new app But that doesnt really help me to manage my domains Youre better off just using a browser instead Pretty disappointed in this new version

The new look is great Unfortunately it compromises functionality I can only see domains that are expiring soon and cant manage other names that are not expiring in the near future 2x apps could manage nearly everything I could do from the website Not anymore Please make this app functional again Less functionality than previous
Firstly I HIGHLY appreciate the effort and look forward to new versions Namecheap pleae come out with new updates regularly thats all we ask However the current version crashes during checkout Doesnt work with two part authorization Wont allow payment via certain methods like paypal All in all this is not like an app that makes your life easier The website is currently easier to use With time if they just use the app themselves theyll figure out how to make it the easiest thing ever That day is simply not today Appreciate the effort but currently in bad shape

When you paste a username or password from a password management app the login button is disabled Beyond frustrating When I was able to fill in the userpass tapping login crashed the app 1 best app Cant even log in

While it looks promising the renewals area which is what I use most needs a lot of attention The renewals I made did not go through after a success message Also you cant sort them you cannot tell when they expire and the button on the bottom gets in the way of the bottom entries On iPhone 6 Update Cant seem to pull in my CC info either after getting most of the way through checkout Better to use their site looks good less renewing

All my domain names so far have been bought some autorenewed through namecheap Not being quite satisfied that I have the best domain name for a site I intend to develop I like to check name variations I think of on occassion Unfortunately this app crashes every time before giving me search results Im using an iPhone 5 with iOS 614 though so Im behind on the OS scene I never liked the way iOS 7 8 looked Oh I also had to figure out how to log in Its tricky because there are no visible username or password fields I simple tapped above the login button When the keyboard appeared I typed my user ID the tapped the keyboards Next button then entered my user id then tapped the keyboards Go button Thats a bit strange not seeing any visible fields From a Namecheap customer

The updated app is not useful There is only one function to this app and that is to look up apps and purchase apps You cant see your all you domains and cant see your dashboard the prior app worked good just needed a few tweaks Please fix Go back

What is the point of an app that lets you purchase domains while away from your computer if the transactions dont go through It happened to me twice and the first time the domain was no longer available when I noticed the transaction failed The app even shows a pleasant your purchase is complete image to really twist the knife One Star

This app is the next best thing that NameCheap has done after everything else they have been doing so far I have never been this happy with any other Domain Provider Their customer support is too good to believe and with this phone app I can keep tabs on my domains at all times GoDaddy Bye Bye The best thing they ever did after
