The NASA Visualization Explorer is now available as a free download on Apple Store for iPad owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 4.8 MB to download. Since the mid Dec 2016 update of NASA VIZ app I have not received any new stories in my VIZ app that already appear in the NASA SVS gallery thru 2017 I have re installed the latest NASA VIZ app but still no success It appears there is a compatibility issue w iOS 10 2 on an iPad Pro in receiving new VIZ stories             No New Stories Since Oct 13 2016 w iOS 10 2 Supernova3706

UPDATE NASA promptly read the problems users had with not being able to update this app They fixed the compatibility issue and the app now updates as expected in iOS10 Thank you OLD REVIEW Will not update if iOS10 is installed When trying to apply latest update app says it s not compatible A shame and very sad Won t recommend app and will be uninstalling it                     NASA promptly fixed the updating issues Thank you --zd--

This app is a great resource for both teachers and students of earth and space science The user friendly interface makes it easy to navigate and find what you are looking for The app includes a huge library of articles stories videos and pictures relating to earth science Users can search by topic including Earth Planets and Moons Sun and Universe Also you can use a search bar to find a specific topic or keyword you are interested in Articles are presented in order of most recent stories ensuring that the user gets the most recent and up to date information first Using this feature teachers could assign weekly reading assignments or research challenges to their students This would help to bring real world context into your classroom using relevant and current stories and topics I like how this app is useful for both teachers and students Teachers can use it to present content in a more interactive and engaging way and students can use it as a research or study tool The only other thing I wish this app had is a separate section offering basic information and stats on the planets This would be a great place for students to start when researching for a paper or project Then they could narrow their search and find evidence using the articles and videos If you are a science teacher or student or you just love earth science I would recommend downloading this app It s great information from a reliable source presented through a user friendly interface                 Great resource for science teachers DBonnar
