Network Toolbox is an app that provides some basic network utilities with a simple interface. The following features are supported: ARP scan and get a list of objects connected to your local network (WIFI only) ...
I bought this in the faint hope that it would show a log of past ping resultspacket loss in its continuous traceroute module similar to pingplotter only to discover its traceroute module isnt even continuous Still it has some potentially useful information for specialists and is worth the buck TraceroutePing
Simple interface and it just works Nice
Only downside is that the port scanner not test for running services Great simple app
Very easy to use app Prevents me from having to carry a laptop around when trouble shooting WiFi networks One bug however is that the Whois does not return information back on domain names properly Fix this and it would be worth every penny Easy to Use
Nice app but needs landscape for 5 stars Solid
Pretty intuitive interface But major flaws The Ping and Traceroute screens the start button is greyed out so no ping no trace route Workaround is to do a ping from the first screen where it shows you all the Mac addresses Click on one choose ping then use that screen for further pings This work around doesnt work for the Traceroute screen Also this app starts with showing you all Mac addresses on your local network On large networks this can take sometime Whois is okay but it shows you not domain Whois data but ip address registration info You get a line that shows you domain to ip info the rest is the result of a Whois based on the IP I ran this on an iPad not sure of the iPhone version shows similar issues Hope a update will fix those little issues at least the greyed out inactive start button on the ping and traceroute screens Has some major bugs
So far a nice tool Would like to be able to expand results of WHOIS searches Nice start
This app crashes when trying to scan TCP ports Not worth the trouble TCP Port Scan
