Two things make this app unpleasant to use 1 the very annoying banner ads running across the top of each story with blinking admonitions to clik here etc are incredibly distracting much worse than the unobtrusive side ads on the website 2 there s no comment function unlike the website I m removing this app from my tablet Newser is a much better experience on line         Not good SunnyDayz in Florida

This app has gotten steadily worse It lags behind even tv news when important stories are breaking and frequently has inaccurate pull quotes misrepresents sources That s without even taking into account the invasive ads which dominate the app experience I d highly recommend finding another app for your news fix The ads have gotten so bad it actually crashes the AppStore sometimes with too many redirects     Crash happy Jyrkface

I ve used Newser for a number of years now and I have to say this is the worst app update they have ever had The left hand side has font so big you can see it from a mile away Then you click on a article and its not the same as what the headline reads Boo total thumbs down there too And the amount of ads they seem to think they need now you d think for all those ads we could get better articles and news stories I m highly disappointed in this app You still can t comment on the stories they publish On top of that you still can t watch videos that they post and there is still no way to comment on a news story like you can on their website     Crappy app welder1180

The web format of tons of info in pictures that you click on like a juke box of news is not used in this app It ruins the experience I use CNN instead which uses the newser web layout in their app I can t imagine why the newser people would produce an app that fails to reproduce 1 of the site s best features the checkerboard layout The other is the short news digests which are preserved here     None of what makes their website great Matt from RI

I deleted and reinstalled but no stories are loading correctly all the advertisements load but nothing else plus it automatically opens the newser web page I don t like the web page because it s to busy I like the app     what wrong with the app roosterx

Newser has just released an iPad app and it s consistent with their tagline read less know more Nice clean simple user interface Easy to quickly navigate through a bunch of news stories The grid view looks very much like their web UI though with stories stacked in a single column there s also a List View to allow you to browse headlines more quickly It s easy to view either by latest or most popular or filter to a category tech politics money etc The one thing I d suggest adding is some simple personalization features perhaps allowing users to pick a set of categories they want to see in their default view the app like Newser itself is great for short bursts of info                     Nice clean new iPad app from Newser BarryG-NYC
