Nobeltec TimeZero is the ultimate App for marine navigation. More than 95.000 customers around the world already trust TimeZero Nobeltec TimeZero is a marine navigation App specially designed for coastal sailors with the most cutting-edge and ...
This app has added a great backup tool and nav planning tool for the rest of my marine electronics and paper charts Id give it 5 stars except that you cannot manually enter a waypoint Please fix this Nobeltec Even the early prehistoric gps units years ago allowed you to enter waypoints Satellite overly and weather features are great Im a fan              Great App
Tried to download in app purchase for US A message popped up saying the map has been purchased but not downloaded Then there is no way to download it For 40 you would think this should not be happening     In app download issue
Previous version didnt work Current version hangs trying to reinstall the map Emailed the company and they suggested I read there newsletters while waiting for them to fix it Dont walk run away     Horrible app
This app is a total waste of money Do not buy it I downloaded the app on my grad new iPad mini and paid for maps When I try to enlarge the screen it splits into four screens and puts my location in random places like Memphis and the Great Lakes I am in Virginia I would rate it zero stars but it makes you pick at least one star     Does not work
The app looked great in demo mode so I inapp purchased the US Mega Wide chart Immediately after doing so the app crashed and has crashed ever since during startup     Got my money and crashed
This app has the potential to be the best chart plotter on the market Help the developers make it awesome Give detailed feedback and tell them what device and model youre using                 Its a new app give good feedback
Ive been using this app for a year now and have had no problems whats so ever Just cruised for two weeks from Seattle up into Canada and back and it worked perfectly on my iPad 2 with the new system upgrade Cant image why people are bad mouthing it User error maybe                 Works Great for Me
I have a hard time understanding all the hate towards this app I havent experienced any of the chart downloading issues that some complain about So far I find this to be a very innovative approach to navigation it adds a lot to your situational awareness If they could add AIS information it would be a complete solution                 A new way to navigate
Rated 001 Third attempt to write a review Now Ill be blunt and to the point 1 Nobeltec where are any updates here on the progress and anticipated date when this will be fix Who isnt using ios7 2 Apple really I had to rewrite three reviews because all others were erased due to an error message stating Nickname already was already use The keyboard blocks the review box so you have to type and edit blind     Wow
Detailed 40 charts dont seem to load No detail at all Zoom in and detail is totally blurred and useless for anything Im using 3rd version of 64gb iPad wretina screen I am not pleased     APP is currently useless
Downloaded the app at 1 in the afternoon bought the charts and played around with the app for a while by 5 PM the app crashed and became unrecoverable Searching the TZ website their only solution is to have you upload all of your stuff on Ipad to icloud do a complete system reset on the ipad to factory defaults then reload all of your stuff back onto the ipad Run as fast as you can the other way from this very unstable app     Useless App
I just downloaded and used this app on a boat trip last weekend I also bought the AIS add on I am using my iPad on a RAM mount at the helm and use a PC laptop at the navigation station below I found the app to be easy to use and reliable There were no problems in connecting it to my boats WIFI server to pick up GPS and AIS data from my laptop computer running Coastal Explorer It even remembered the settings between session and just started working with no fuss I would recommend this app as an excellent charting option for the iPad                 Great app
I have been using iSailor for quite some time and it works flawlessly by the way but I was looking to see what else may be out there This app looks like it has a huge potential but it seems to be buggy on my iPad Mini Also the charts are insanely expensive This app wants you to purchase half the planet sized charts when your cruising zone may be quite limited I purchased the East coast of Florida and the Florida Keys for 5 for my iSailor app It costs 30 for the US charts when I only need a small area in the Southeast     Charts are Expensive
Great app very intuitive and all you really need Visual tides makes it a winner all by itself                 Simply perfect
I would never invest this kind of money in a product I cant demo Why not a small sample area or 2 week trial        No Demo
Do not by this app It does not work     Do not buy
Nice App              Very Nice
Good                 Nice
I am a 20 year user of nobeltec systems This on is the best ever Easy to use responsive clear and indispensable to the weekend cruiser                 Best tablet nav system
A waste of money     A waste
They dont tell you it is expensive to download the charts     Trick
I wish that I could give negative stars It gets worse with every update The native map app in IOS is much more reliable Even with the latest updates this app still cannot determine course or speed regardless of of direction or whether I am traveling slow or fast less than 1kt or more than 100kt Previously it was stuck on a permanent heading of 000 Now it is permanently stuck on 198 and still will not change Previously the position was available every now and then Now the position is available for fractions of a second once in a rare time probably less than for one second an hour total This app never worked and was full of glitches With the latest update I was locked out of a worthless app that never worked anyway Eventually forced to create a new account and redownload everything before it finally opened I had updated on the slim chance that they might have fixed it since they already took my money for charts Customer support basically had told me TS They had not gotten the app to work before so why expect anything else I had wasted good money downloading a local chart only to find out it was the same as the demo chart included I wish Apple would read these reviews and ban apps like these     STILL worse than USELESS and just got even worse
Ive been in the assistance towing business for 20 years and Ive used almost every plotting app made to back up my onboard chart plotters This app works well transitions between charts seamlessly is user friendly and the interface is useful and reasonably well thought out HOWEVER it suffers from one giant glaring flaw Theres no way to manually enter or store a waypoint on the iPad using latlong If and when that function is added Ill happily upgrade the review to five stars Until then this is a good tool for the weekend boater to have as a backup but not optimal for anything more           Great App With a Big Flaw
Used this in the Pacific NW in US and Canadian waters and it worked rather well some issues from time to time when mobile service was not available but minor Would like to see an option to reverse a route once created and one to save a track to turn into a route Downloaded sections of the map locally was really nice to prior to hitting Canadian waters and spotty mobile service Really easy for people on the boat to use as well as we cruised around              Great back up App
Locked out Money spent on charts gone Update obviously did not work Are you listening     What
Have most of the other products in this category on my iPad as well as Time Zero running on my boat but this release is way too buggy to be useful yet Random crashes just sitting open for a while along with chart download issues and finally after an hour of downloading a small chart section from the Med I bought it still wont display the details chart data Just the rough high level map Ive wasted 50 so far Wait this one out until it gets fixed be happy us early adopters are taking the arrows in Back for you first     Crashes no detailed map display Dont buy it yet
Waste of money Cant store waypoints Cant add a latitude and longitude for a waypoint either If you dont know where it is on the 3999 map you have to buy you cant get to it Stay with navionics     Bigbaitbigfish
After this update I have to reload the charts but can not Every time I try to load a cell nothing happens and now can no longer use the app     Wiped out in IOS9
Repeated crashes on chart load and on chart zoom     Not ready for prime time
I have compared with several commercial MFD offerings on the market and this FREE app blows them away Only thing that could be added would be storing of waypoints and tracksPlease Perfect keep up the great work                 Awesome
This may be an OK though expensive app for guiding cruisers to charted targets they can see as they approach Unfortunately it is useless to fishermen divers and anyone else wanting to position their boat precisely at spots not visible from the surface such as an unmarked reef or wreck There is no way to create a waypoint from coordinates you may have for such sites or even save your actual coordinates to return once youve been there Hard to believe any GPS software would lack these basic capabilities     Useless for anglers or divers
I have used this as a back up on commercial fishing vessels and as a main piece of equipment for navigation It has familiar features used on most chart programs and uses detailed charts that are familiar to most people Has lived up to and exceeded expectations I use this on my iPad and my only complaint is that it does not allow for very much track lines but that is ok I give this app a 910                 Great app
Super update with some desired features including live AIS GPS and Depth from the boats electronics This means I should be able to buy next iPad without the cellularGPS chip I had the hang on startup that others have posted but simply disabled access to Photos in settings to resolve bingo all charts and operations back to normal I had several apps struggle after the new iOS Photos feature came out of beta last month                 I Love the HW Integration
They stole 50 from me Last update now needs an ID I never needed an ID before     Rip off TZ
The charts downloaded flawlessly and I connect to GPS via bad elf with no problems The charts show exactly where wrecks and reefs are When running there is no connection to any internet and this works great My primary GPS is a Lowrance HDS 7 but it is great to have this mounted next to it then I can switch the Lowrance to fish finder and use this as primary gps without having to use a split screen Have been out as far as 40 miles off shore in the Gulf of Mexico and have not had a problem Well worth the price                 Great
Nice charts with good tools but adding the Active Captain would bring up the next star Charts especially nice close to Garmin Blue Charts              Nice program
This app only shows true courses and that could be very significant if you are unaware Otherwise pretty good app           Beware of one thing
Raster charts rotate zoom and advance seamlessly You can operate program with a wifi connection or download the cells for onboard operation Either way the chart transitions are quick However chart cells download slowly AC power to iPad required during download to keep wifi connection otherwise the download quits even with a USB connection This might be the cause of some reports of random crashes Testing charts in my cruising area I found three missing from the Gulf Islands in Canada Only the NOAA overview chart was available and the detail needed at harbor entrances and anchorages which is provided by Canadian Hydrographic charts was not available This was reported hope it is fixed Also reviewed charts of the Adriatic Coast and found good detail              Great stitches some issues
