Yea take the router and throw it in the thrash and uninstall the app No quality assurance no customer service this product is designed for one thing only to lock you into a monthly subscription Why do I need a Norton account to use this product So I can have Symantec track my entire online browsing history and install their junk software on all my devices Please give me a break     What a joke R4mdat

For 250 you d expect a better product Not only is the functionality of the router restricted to what s available in the app but the router itself has problems Many of those problems have already been outline in all of the other negative reviews but when you can t even configure the right time zone because of an error that when you know you ve wasted money     What a waste Teaoharares

In the app it shows alert notifications for blocked sites which is handy but it seems there is a cap of number of entries My latest entries showed from 2 weeks ago I had 150 but nothing showed recent After clearing some old alerts by manually selecting NO new alerts finally started appearing There needs to be a way to select NO for all blocking notifications or clear the list or remove the soft cap         Request No to All Alerts steelwind

Every single time I enable QoS for a device it s turned off when I go back to that device even seconds after I turn it on Doesn t matter which device it is and it happens all the time Fix this big please             QoS never stays on Afsam

I am having the same issues as the other review with multiple resets to factory defaults no less Spent 3 hours arguing with support with NO SOLUTION other than I m tired I ll call back They have called me several times because I never called back Why I don t have 3 hours to spend on this stupid router Here s what they tried to tell me It restarts because it is assigning the same ip to more than one device That seems a bit like they should not have released it Oh and that was my fault I should turn off all my other devices I even tried both setup methods modem router in one and with separate pieces Neither one works any more After I reset several times and updated the app I got it working for about 2 weeks Now we re back to no connection It continues to want to be an access point and my neighbors are clearly using any bandwidth I might have They re ssid shows a great connection on my computer while all I can get is limited on mine I have discussed in great length with my provider My signal is fine Also with my old router What do you think that means Now I can t even get into my norton account Yeah 200 WASTED     Worse than Sketchy Cccccmmmmmbbbb

UPDATED Review to 5 stars Below problem was quickly resolved with call to Norton help center By setting a reserved IP address for multiple computers you can eliminate this issue I get the message detected an IP address conflict every 2 3 days when booting my pc and I cannot connect to Core I reboot the PC everyday                     IP Address Conflict rposeyca

So far the core app does not allow you to do must configuration If you need much more than setting a password this isn t the right device I love the idea and jumped to order one as soon as I got the notice The lack of advanced settings is very disappointing Not everyone uses Facebook or twitter I find both to be a complete waste of time Again poor service asking everyone to promote you on social media     No real config options Zeltora

The app is easy to setup and use To improve to setup on the filters allow a tap on the category to see a description of what is blocked After setup It needs the ability to clear the Activity feed after it is reviewed Also on the Notifications it needs a third option to opt out of a notification i e I don t want to be notified about the site containing advertising                 Review jwm66

11 2 17 UPDATE I m writing this review from the comfort of my living room seat without a WiFi connect Even with multiple software updates since my original review the router continues to reboot itself multiple times a day obviously dropping the WiFi each time This makes playing games on the PS4 streaming TV or movies very difficult Dropping from a 3 star to 2 star review until this is fixed This is NOT normal behavior from a router ORIGINAL REVIEW The router itself is aesthetically pleasing As for the software and connectivity 1 The software does a poor job of reflecting what devices use data daily At times a laptop a rarely use and is turned off for days at a time will show activity 2 At least once a day the router drops the WiFi for 1 2 minutes Not very good when streaming TV or playing online games on the PS4 All in all a good device that needs some software updates         Drops WiFi multiple times a day Quornee

I put about 8 hours into trying to setup the core It would see the core get to the step before syncing to the cloud and then lose the core I tried many things including restarting he core deleting and reinstalling the app and completely restoring the entire phone Nothing seemed to work After growing exhausted with it all I returned the core thinking it was defective However my second core behaved exactly the same I finally called into Norton and the app mysteriously completed setup without rhyme or reason What a relief right Wrong Although the core was now up and running it informed me that my modem which is just a modem is providing a second network As it turns out my modem has a routing function in case you plug a switch into it or something Anyhow I reset the core big mistake and proceeded to try and put my modem in bridge mode Although I put the modem in bridge mode the core was once again failing to setup What a PITA I retraced my steps turned the router function back on and then tried again The setup would still not complete talk about at wits end Then as I systematically watched the setup and core behavior I noticed a pattern Just before it tried to connect to the cloud it would say it was taking longer than expected This lead me to believe that maybe the Bluetooth was cutting out What seemed to do the trick was to get to the point of it saying the core was not found close out the app turn Bluetooth off and then on and re open the app Magically the setup skips to the end and connects to the cloud I really hope I helped someone here because this setup is a mess Some other bad quirks 1 Surprise crashes in the app 2 Pause does not work 3 Setting the time zone does not work 4 Changing device assignments does not work             Difficult Setup GabeZs

10 28 2017 update The Wifi crashing appears to be resolved I have also seen some nice improvements to the app The management of white black listing is a little cumbersome but nice addition I am still interested in more detailed logging and more granular bandwidth usage reports i e external versus internal traffic by device Initial So far I have only had a few issues The first was a login problem which was resolved by calling support and disabling two factor temporarily and then re enabling I was able to get back into the router afterwards The second issue which has already been mentioned is WiFi dropping Mine seems to happen around the same time everyday and started with the last firmware update Not a huge problem and it comes back online quickly I will say I would like to see more information and control of the router I have seen expanded features in the last few updates but given the power of the router I would expect some serious back end logging that one could review Things like detailed bandwidth usage by address deep analysis of security issues and in depth details of dangerous sites and activity                 Great Start Farlin Laedavin

For a device that supports streaming I find the router disconnects the wi fi 6 10 times daily With a connected home security system Alexa Netflix Nest it is extremely frustrating to wait for the router to reconnect the wi fi It screws up the streaming FaceTime and results in Alexa and The alarm panel telling us the internet is down Annoying and unacceptable this needs to be corrected I never had these problems with my Netgear router             Constantly loses wi fi mfg000

With the most recent 9 20 the app update has regained stability and has added all DNS settings options back and added reserved DHCP option great now if they would allow setting IP address and the mask range it would be even better The Core itself works well except I found it hung up this AM after the firmware update reset of power corrected the issue Also still need the ability to delete old unused devices             Recent release Cliff Ts

Updated after 3 4 more delete reinstall cycles the app is back to normal so I have raised it yo 4 stars 3 5 rounded up The router still restarts way too often I liked the app initially but I had lots of random restart connectivity interruption issues with the router Support told me it was a known issue that would be fixed with the next firmware update That was about three weeks ago I was also told I could do a full reset if I preferred and that may solve the problem I did a full reset two days ago with a new network ID passwords reconnections etc I still randomly drop wifi as though the router is rebooting As for the app it used to seem fast and accurate Now it doesn t reflect devices on or off the network accurately and seems to be lagging or not synchronizing with the router correctly I have deleted and re installed multiple time with no change I give two stars for the wasted time and frustration                 App now sketchy router inconsistent EM909090

App was working great but after the update on Sep 13th I was logged out I am now unable to log back into the app After submitting my credentials on the log screen it starts logging in but then immediately brings me back to the log in screen I have verified I am entering the correct credentials         Unable to log into the app jazzclubokc

I tried the set up steps from the app and got to the point after the app restarted the Core router after it initiated the update and got to the screen where it checks connection to the internet got a check mark Then it checks for any updates got a check there too But after that it came up with a connection error and offered me a cancel and retry Both failed As well as restarting app and both router and modem I guess I m one of the unlucky ones that now has to call customer support I m replacing an Eero with this and hope I get better speeds and connectivity I m a little nervous after reading Amazon reviews         Easy app that failed to connect Dutch20

Just received my new Norton Core router after a two month wait Turned out to be faulty and did not work I spent an hour on the phone with Norton tech support to no avail I m sending it back for a replacement and told it will be 4 6 weeks for it to arrive     Faulty router Wyupnorth
