Note Pad

The basic features are limited You can only enter so many notes before the notes start writing over the last one entered You should be able to enter an unlimited amount of notes As in other reviews there is no way to change the font size type etc This application is not worth buying you are better storing your notes on your iphone in the note pad provided     Not a good application

Wow al this time we wait for an update and the only thing we get is sync fixes Dont waste your money on this App get SimpleNote instead One thing that this app desperately needs is the ability to do landscape mode I am hoping that they release this feature as an update     Crappy Update

First the App description says it will do two way syncing It will not and is not designed to see FAQ on their website Second the price here is 499 On their website its 299 Another misrepresentation Most of the time when I try to sync I get the mutlicolored ball and have to Force Quit Sink Junk Dont be deceived like I was If I could get a refund I would just for the principle of it     Do NOT buy this App

I definitely prefer this over thr standard note pad The simplicity and clarity is nice It would be awesome though if there was landscape view ability and options to change text size to write more on each line              Great app

Not 100 worth the price but you do get the ability to organize your notes into folders If the price was 199 it would be a little bit more reasonable PROS Folders CONS OVERPRICED              Able To Organize Notes

Well its already too late for me but if I were you Id keep looking My major problem with this app is the inability to put a note in a folder I suppose I could retype the note in the folder but the note is already done why cant I just move it into a folder Just lame        I wouldnt buy this

I bought this because Jott is no longer going to be free and I prefer a nonserver based solution anyway However the Mac desktop app that goes with this app needs some work I was simply trying to move my notes from Jotts excellent desktop app to the Sink app and had too many problems I dont mind the issues raised in other reviews about the IPhone app itself but I wont use this until the desktop version is improved They go together        Mac desktop app needs a lot of work

I really like the folder options and searching But why are note titles cut off too short It likes there is room for a few more characters A couple of request Add the ability to attach a photo and to change the font and background of a note           Better than included Notes

i bought this app thinking that i could lock my notes and that i could sync notes into watever folder i want i guess i was wrong please update so that we can somehow drag and drop the notes to watever folder we want and so that we can lock the foldersnotes that we need to be locked if u do that ill then give it 5 stars        its ok

This app doesnt contain 499 worth of bells and whistles        Simple and NOT powerful

Havent had any sync problems yet but I wish it was much more spacious like the stock note pad because I use the app frequently and I have trouble keeping a small paragraph from taking up a large section of a note Its also a bit too pricey for how average it is Updates could make this app so much better           Could be MUCH better

If you have an itouch n u cant get wifi cause everybody has it locked dont even bother with this application Something these applications forget to mention before you purchase them is that if you dont have wifi near you then it is worth less Besides that it is not compatible with the itouch     Not worth the money

Email worked only on my first note MOVE FOLDER should be named MOVE TO FOLDER for clarity Encryption option plus sync would make this app a cut above the rest NOW HAS SYNC so its getting better           OK but needs work

The sync function does not work well You cannot print from the notes on your desktop or iphone Totally NOT worth the money Emailed customer support and didnt get a response Save your money     Doesnt work

Every time I start it my location is requested It crashes and does not sync via WiFi I do not recommend at this time Even after the update I still get that irritating location message whenever the app starts Let me have the option to turn that message OFF     Not worth buying

Very nice simple and elegant like their recording app Dictaphone Needs copy and paste and the abilty to change the font and color though              Needs copypaste and font selection

Bought this app for the sync feature Its slower than molasses is annoying and cumbersome in that you have to open the sync app each time rather than it being automatic when you connect your iPhone Each time you open Sync it asks you whether to allow or deny incoming connections The Sync feature needs a LOT of work to make this app worthwhile at any price Oh and whomever at the developer company thought it was amusing to title the Sync window sink got it wrong It just looks stupid        Sync stinks

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY This is the same as the notepad the iPhoneiTouch came with it dosent do anything different if I would of known this I would have not paid 1cent for this lame app Also to lock the notepad was a lieI WANT MY MONEY BACK Or make changes ASAP because Im angry I paid 5 for something so stupid that my phone allready came with     STUPID

I like fonts for notepad app Folder structure is stranger Well All Notes folder I dont need Id like to create own folder And sync is stranger as well I hope you add one more future Sync with MobileMe service iDisk           Some problems but nice fonts

For some reason I thought this would be more than just a white version of the notes app Where are the font options There is no customization Even something simple like a horizontal keyboard cant be found Just adding that last feature will bump you up to 3 stars     Hmmm

No landscape That should be a standard for any notepad app I will not be using this app because of this I was going to use it to write code and be able to sync or email it to my laptop that would be great but not with one hand The search continuesas well as my wallet        Seriously

I am wondering why it is that a notepad cannot sync to my mac notepad Just a thought Is it an API issue Anyway this is a good app I was hoping that the sync would be better The sink function only syncs one way from iPhone to computer And the notes are not editable I hope that they add this real soon I like the attention to detail in other areas shaking for a new note is cool but this needs to be better This is the closest note pad that I have found to what we are all looking for It is just not quite close enough yet Perhaps soon Im just glad something is getting closer              Better than Native Notepad

Ive been using Note Pad for about three years or more and I rely on it for many quick notes My biggest problem is synching my iPod Touch with my MacBook Pro First Sink claims there are conflicts that shouldnt exist For example double quotes on one device and single quotes on the other Or changing accented characters into a string of nonsense Second Sink gives a series of SQL Error messages Third Sink can hang I have to force it to quit On my latest sync attempt Sink went to conpletion when I ignored the conflicts Fourth when I ask Sink to sort notes by date it sorts alphabetically on mmddyy rather than numerically on yyddmm However for all the notes Ive made over the years it has been worth the five bucks Now if Polar Bear would add a search feature or be searchable by the iOS 3 search           Problems in Synching

Not bad I gave it 4stars because it is better than Apples But if syncing does not work havent tried yet then it drops in value Now if you can allow selected notes to be encrypted with a password youll have a winner              Needs more features

Great in concept but poorly done The categories are great but you can download Memo Book for free to get that The Sink app is horrible I emailed all my Notes to myself and the pasted them in Note Pad It did sync but didnt even preserve my line breaks When I tried to edit the notes I started getting conflict messages during sync I can select which copy to keep but then there are SQL errors Also I very much agree with everyone in the need for font options At least a size option would be nice The font is huge and defeatsbthe purpose of having a nice large screen Dont buy until they update this app        Want my money back please

Ive been waiting for a notes app and companion desktop sync app to replace Palms Memos unfortunately this isnt it Here are a few musthave requests 1 An option to list the notes in alphabetical order chronological order doesnt work for my purposes 2 In list view show more characters in the note titles maybe by adding an option to hide the datestamp or by changingreducing the font and add to the end of the title if the text is cut off 3 Add a special folder called Unfiled Notes in addition to the All Notes folder and list this folder instead of the All Notes folder in the selection list that pops up when saving a note that way all unfiled notes can easily be found and filed later 4 When viewing the contents list of a folder if a note is created the folder that was being viewed before creating the note should be highlighted by default in the list when saving Or better yet just automatically save it in the current folderonly ask if a folder wasnt opened first 5 A consistent UI selection method should be used for move to and save to Currently moving a file shows the fullpage folder list but saving a file shows the popup scroll list they should be the same 6 Add true syncing desktop software PC compatible with the ability to compose edit organize and importexport csv notes the current Sink software is useless 7 Add password protection or encryption preferred Bugs 1 Modifying the notes first line does not always change the notes title to match        Not there yet

I dont use landscape mode for notes so I couldnt care less about that function but its obviously important to some people Since I absolutely hate the comic sans font used in the stock notepad I just had to get something else This works fine as a basic notepad It would be nice to see variable fonts sizes in future updates and landscape mode for those who just cant live without it              Good replacement for stock notepad

This is a really useful app that is a lot better than the default notes app on the iPhone I like how it supports landscape mode has white paper instead of yellow and most of all how you can add folders It is just a bit pricey for 5              Great App

I like this note app It is a simple layout and I like that Things that would be nice 1 Sync with DropBox andor Google 2 A way to set reminders on a note would be nice Keep up the good work hope to see updates soon              Good but could use a little more

Its a nice app and I like how you can sort notes into folders But it really needs to have a landscape feature so that you dont have to squish your fingers onto a tiny keyboard Also I think 5 is a little much for essentially the built in notes app with folders and no landscape view I think that it should be 99cents Or better yet just save your money and use the free built in notes app     Dont waste your money

Note Pad itself is okay but Sink stinks And the Polar Bear Farm website provides no clue as to how to enable TCP port 8081 Having laboriously figured out how to configure the Apple OS X 105 firewall to allow Sink to breach the firewall it still does not sync Save your money     Sink or Swim

The syncing on this app doesnt work correctly Its rather clunky I download Evernote which works MUCH better And if I recall correctly I think its free Evernote syncs automatically over the net you dont have to do much more than install the client on your Mac and iPhone You ready to go with that If you have a PC get a REAL machine     After using this for awhile I change my review

Current Review Im downgrading my rating from three stars to one because Ive had this app for over six months and they still havent fixed the buggy synchronization In fact I cant recall the last time this app was updated Prior Review I also own Notebook and prefer this app I was looking for an app that allowed notes to be placed within folders and would allow me to synchronize directly with my laptop via WiFi I dont want my notes stored on a 3rd party website It runs well but the synchronization software is buggy and hangs up frequently     Synchronization is Buggy

Search functionality is good Sync has not worked for me What is worse is that customer support is terrible They dont follow up and do not return emails I wish I could get my money back        Not Worth It
